The OAO Raw is EXILED~!/Photoshop Tips Thread

After the Raw opening credits, HHH and Evolution make their customary appearance. Orton, get out here. I want my title yada yada yada, and we want to beat you up three-on-one style Sensible Randy's music hits and here comes the great man Sorry Trips but i dont like the sound of that. Why in the name of sense and sensibility would i come to that ring alone. No, i have some friends with me. No way, it cant be. I pity the fool who messes with Randy Orton. Run boys, we cant win this fight. I love it when a plan comes together.

Paul Heyman rejoins the creative team

It just struck me that with Heyman back on the booking team, and Tommy Dreamer in charge of development we could end up with some good stuff in the future. I wont expect any immediate results though.

Thank God, hopefully this gets some real changes and more cutting edge storylines implemented.

    Weird WCW booking

If everyone listed just one piece of weird WCW booking, this thread would run for 20 pages. Afterall, this is the same company that had both Vince Russo and David Arquette as World Champs, and the same one that gave away Hogan/Goldberg for the World title on Nitro with little to no advertising. Hogan/Goldberg was because of the Monday Night War, and i would imagine the ones you listed would have been done becasue of that as well.

    GTG to GTG!

For those of you who are currently outcasts from the WWE folder, i thought i'd let you know that you are missing absolutely nothing (shocking i know). The material in this thread has actually been more interesting than anything i've seen on that forum so far today. Fascinating subjects on the agenda include "when did Vince lose his mind", "WWE Title or World Title" and about 10 other threads involving Eugene, the dress code, Stevie in drag and HHH. I've been coming back on and off all morning during the slow periods at work and I dont think i've posted in there once. Wait, that's a lie, i did post in one about failed main eventers, but that's all.

    Hypothetically speaking....

    1. who knows. As mentioned the brand extension would be over, and WWE might even stop running for a few months while the other wrestlers get over it. Then they would come back and Vince would likely milk it for all it's worth, which would be sad. 2. He would have been jobbed out to a Red and Yellow wearing, American loving Hulk Hogan, and that would be the end of him. 3. There's no way WCW could of survived no matter who bought it. All the old wrestlers had clauses in their contracts that gave them creative control, which meant that nobody under the age of 40 ever got a decent rub. Eventually the whole thing would have just died.

    Main event tryouts

If you want to go back aways you could add both Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith to the list of guys who were given main event runs (or test runs) and never quite made the grade. Both were over but never enough to clinch a lasting top line spot. Owen had his big feud with Bret, but after the WM10 win was never given another win over his brother, and after SummerSlam was never really a main event player again. (Exception being the Hart Foundation run, but Bret was still the top star of that show) Davey Boy was given PPV title shots at 3 consecutive champions (Diesel, Bret and Shawn) but was never considered to be a good enough all-around package to carry the Title. Even when he returned in 1999, he was programmed against Rock, got dropped in dog crap and then jobbed out No Mercy. He he had won that match things might have been different, but he was far gone on drugs by then so it may not have made a difference. Billy Gunn (several times) and Hardcore Holly also just never had the whole package to make it. Gunn had charisma but couldn't wrestle 20 minute matches, and couldn't even have a decent match against Benoit. Holly could brawl but not wrestle headline style, and wasn't given much time time to prove otherwise. As a long term mid-carder he was never taken seriously for the World Title, which is probably why they made his storyline about revenge instead of glory. The Patriot got injured, but was already on the way down. They jobbed Vader out on house shows prior to his SS96 clash with HBK, and the previous month at International Incident, HBK had no sold his attack in the post-match. The event then drew a rather low buy rate and his fate was sealed. Sid may be the exception to any rule. He couldn't wrestle but was extremely over. He was jobbed out to Diesel in 95 but was still viewed as a legitimate contender at the end of 96. He was given wins over Vader, HBK and the Hitman (twice) before coming a cropper to Undertaker at WM13. Like it or not, if he hadn't gotten injured (and then fired) he would have stuck around the main event scene for an extended period.

    Favourite WM moments

So what are your favourites/least favourites? they can be anything from matches to angles to celebrity appearances etc... For mine: Favourites 1 Savage/Steamboat from WM3 - this was my favourite match for many many years, and Steamboat was my fave wrestler. 2 Owen Harts win at WM10, and Bret's redemption later that night. 3 The Savage/Elizabeth moment at WM7. Worst 1 The powder in the eyes bit at WM9 that cost Bret Hart the title. Hogan then winning it made it even worse. 2 Randy Savage coming out first at WM5. The champion should never come out first. This reared it's ugly head again at WM7. 3 The fact that Pamela Anderson was pushed as being a big deal at WM11, and didnt fulfill her role of accompanying Shawn to ringside.

Dress code continues to be annoying

I'm undecided on the dress code. Like, i dont think everyone should be forced to dress the same but there's nothing wrong with wearing decent attire. The rules are the rules and it's not that hard to wear a pair of slacks and decent shirt. I would draw the line at wearing a tie though, but that's just me. I do believe, however, that if WWE wants to enforce this then they have to give a little back. I've never heard of employees having to pay for their own travel/accommodation expenses when on official business. WWE is the exception, but if they expect everyone to follow their rules they should be like every other company and pay for these other expenses. I'm not saying they should hire BMW's for everyone and pay for 5 Star hotels, but they have to give something back, especially to the lower card guys who aren't exactly raking in the cash. And why are they pissed at The Rock? How senseless is it to expect a guy making a one-off appearance to show up at the arena in business attire, and then change to something more casual for his 20 minute segment, and then change back to leave. Undertaker is another story, but he has the power to get away with anything in this company. Vince wouldn't expect Austin or Foley to dress up either, if they returned to the company on a full time basis. Some people earn the right to be different, and UT has made the company a lot of money and been a draw for nearly 15 years.

    WWE.com's September Jukebox Offerings

Who would of thought at the time that both Benoit and Eddie would win World titles before Edge. And that both would, at least presently, be a helluva lot more over than him. And i have to laugh at the fact that Dvon/Batista vs Randy/Farooq is one of the selections for this thing.

1992 Dream team vs 1992 Dream team

Would he be helping Hogan, or sneak attacking Savage? Would Vince be the coach of Team WWF, or Jack Tunney? I'm going with the basketballers in OT.

    Real Life Heat

This could just be a rumour, but didn't Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan have heat for years after Hogan refused to job the title to Bret in 1993? Sid Vicious and Arn Anderson probably still hate each other after that bloody incident with the scissors.

    The Stevie in drag storyline

or worse what if it was both of them.... One being Stevie that aides her the other who distracts her and makes her lose. After a while you could have them defeat the tag champs for the belts, but instead of being announced as the 'tag team champions', they are instead referred to as the 'drag team champions'.

    The Stevie in drag storyline

Stevie as womens champ? Oh god NO! Surely this has to lead somewhere other than that, but i'll be damned if i can think of where.

Is JBL still the worst WWE Champion ever?

I voted for Big Show in the original poll, and nothing has changed to change my mind. JBL is nowhere near being the worst champ in WWF/E history, and he never was. I think he is really doing well in his current role, and while his ringwork is still a bit lacking, he is certainly a better all around package than Big Show in 99, Hogan in 2002, Diesel in 1995 and the Iron Shiek in 1984.

    Henry to Return soon...

But then you would have Mark Henry and Heidenreich basically doing the same thing on the same show. And both probably sucking at it.

Who's not voting in this presidential election?

When are the American elections on? We have our Australian ones on here on October 9, but where you guys have the choice, it is mandatory for us to vote if you are over 18. Luckily it's within walking distance from my house. Stil, forced democracy sucks.

Wrestlers that need new theme music

I'd say Billy Gunn but that would imply that i want him on my TV to be able to hear it. Outside of Billy, it has to be Christian first, and Victoria second.
