Does anyone know a bar in Boston that regularly shows WWE PPVs. I'm trying to find a way to watch Mania this Sunday. Thanks.

    WWE appartanly huge in Itaily

Yeah, I mean, I just got back from Italy after studying the semester like I stated above, and it really was like 1998 all over again. In fact, my first week there in early september they were showing SummerSlam at a bar, which caused me to start drinking heavily after seeing Shawn job so clean to Hogan. WWE is all over the TV. In fact, I once saw Batista on an Italian sports show promoting WWE coming to Italy. The Eddie Guerrero T-Shirts sold like mad after he passed away as you would see many merchandise stores hanging his shirts on their windows.

    WWE appartanly huge in Itaily

I just studied in Italy for a semester, and it's true........WWE is HUGE in Italy. Bars show Raw all the time and there's tons of merchandise available on the streets to buy.

Who will have the better 30 Min. Iron Man Match?

I do also feel that Angle-Michaels was a special match in my eyes and so was their rematch at Vengeance. Their Iron Man match may not have as many highspots as Styles-Daniels will have in their sequel but I still think it will be special and on the same level of drawing the crowd in, maybe even more so, than Styles-Daniels will.

    HBK is a little unhappy

OK so I guess the fact that he was an asshole automatically degrades him as a worker? And HBK hasn't been an asshole in today's WWE. The only backstage and on air 'old HBK' politicking that we've seen has been against Hogan, and its been for good reason because Hogan was a prick right back. The man has done a massive number of jobs since he's been back including having a terrible PPV win/loss record. And as for the Hogan-HBK match, I personally feel that he got the best match out of Hogan that is physically possible these days.

    HBK is a little unhappy

The HBK hate on this board is IMO really saddening. He was, along with Bret Hart, one of the top two workers in the WWF during the 90's. Hell, he's still at the top of the list of workers in today's WWE.

    HBK is a little unhappy

He didn't intend to wrestle when he came back to the NWO. It was in a mangerial position. It was only after Kevin Nash was injured did he decide to have one more match. In fact, it wasn't until Survivor Series 2003 when he participated in the awesome elimination team match which resulted in Austin getting 'fired' did he decide that his body could handle a full time schedule of house shows, raws, and ppvs. And also, those calling Shawn slow should check out how fast he was back in 1995, especially against Kevin Nash at WrestleMania XI.

Is Shawn Michaels this generation's Ric Flair?

HBK is a great worker. It's my opinion. Stating that he isn't and giving reasons why does not make it a fact. It's all about personal taste. Get that through your heads.

Is Shawn Michaels this generation's Ric Flair?

My personal opinion is that out of every wrestler I have ever seen Shawn Michaels is the one who I feel is the best. This is not a fact but just my opinion. No other wrestler has captivated me in the ring as much as he has or provided me with as many special moments in wrestling than him. Once again just MY OPINION. And as far as being injury prone, I think with his crazy bumping style in the 90's injuries were inevitable.

Is Shawn Michaels this generation's Ric Flair?

I definitely feel that both Flair and Michaels are tremendous workers. I personally think that Michaels is one of the greatest of all time. That seems to be the opinion of most internet journalists such as Meltzer and Keller and wrestlers/announcers, such as Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, and Jim Ross as well. Not saying that makes it fact but I certainly value their opinions. He is definitely underrated IMO like Rrrsh said here on the Smart Marks. I wonder if HBK was a darling backstage his whole career if Smarks on this board would view him in a better light. The man has had so many **** matches and helped revolutionize the wrestling style and paved the way for so much such as with his two ladder matches. A great deal of independent workers during the 90's were influenced by his style.

And continue to build Batista up so he can face Brock if he ever decides to come back. That definitely could headline a wrestlemania.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

I don't base all my opinions on Shawn's RF Video Shoot. Please don't make assumptions about me. Anyway, I don't care much at all to see Cena face Hogan. I'd much rather they build up Orton to the point where a Hogan-Orton match would seem special.

It was Jericho's idea for Shawn to win that match. Y2J even said it himself.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

OK I agree with you there. I didn't mean to come across the way I did but Shanghai Kid expressed my feelings when he said- I would rather ignore politics because the majority of the main eventers have been a part of it. I would rather just focus on what the wrestlers do IN the ring. HBK, Benoit, and Bret Hart are three of the best. And if you watch HBK's Shoot Interview that RF Video did, he explains that coming up in the WWE people were telling him he was too small and wouldn't amount to being a main eventer. A few people in the early 90's even refused to sell for him which pissed off Sensational Sherri. So when he finally became the top guy he was "angry" as he put it and that may have translated into a lot of the dickish things that he did.

Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker

Are you serious TPC1. That's definitely a mark out moment if Paul freakin Bearer buys the last copy of a 'Taker DVD. I went to my local Best Buy today and they were sold out.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

Well I don't personally think that one can look at PPV buyrates when Shawn was champ and then blame them just on him. WWE as a whole had a depleted roster and their PPV cards were not that great. HBK's opponents when he got the title were Diesel, British Bulldog, Mankind, Vader and Sid. Some of the blame has to be put on them too as well as the overall WWE product during 1996. I do agree with CabbageBoy. Bret/HBK is like the who was better, Beatles or Stones thing. It's just a matter of personal taste. They both have produced great classic matches.

Listen, why can't we just all end these arguments and realize that both Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were tremendous workers and two of the best in the WWE during the 90's. Politics aside.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

I doubt Bret Hart was the reason for the Wembley Stadium crowd. It was SummerSlam in England, a place which has consistently always drawn big crowds for the WWE since they've always been loved in non-domestic markets. And for the record, I like Bret Hart.

The sad think is with all you fucking smarks is that Hart and Benoit drew shit but you don't want to admit that. Your fucking blind HBK hate is pathetic. Get fucking lives.

Yeah the low rating was ALL HBK's fault........................

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

Then who does he do it for? That WWE ring in the 90's was notorious for being one of the hardest rings to work in. Shawn surely didn't do it because he enjoyed the pain.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

Ironic thing in what you're saying was, it was HBK and his Kliq buddies that were pushing for McMahon to change the direction of the company and shift toward more adult oriented storylines. And HBK wasn't ushered out of the top, he was injured out of the top and had to retire.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

Bret Hart never drew shit. No one in the WWF drew anything big in the middle 90's. That's because the WWF had a very weak roster. Undertaker never drew shit either. All this Michaels hate is fucking pathetic on this board. The man busts his ass in that ring for the fans. Seriously, you all need to stop looking at all this political bullshit. And add the Smarts God Benoit himself to the list of people who didn't draw shit.
