Sad day in America when Dukes of Hazzard is number one. I predict that it falls huge next week.

    Best Nickname

Couple of other nicknames that ruled. Karl "The Albino Rhino" Mecklenberg (LB Broncos) Dick "Night Train" Lane and I still have a fondness for Stan "The Man" Musial.

NCAA To Ban Use of Indian Team Names

Well in North Dakota we are tired of having outside people coming here protesting the nickname Fighting Sioux. they try telling us that there are better nicknames for us such as The Roughriders (this ain't the CFL!) or the Flickertails (name of a gopher here) Mainly we think that it shows a since of pride and the fighting spirit of the Sioux. Many of the other indian tribes around the area feared the Sioux because they were such a fearce tribe.

    Future baseball HOF'ers

In the next few years we are going to have some great players retire. However, some of these players are borderline in my eyes. Here are a few of the players that I think make it and a few that fall short. In Clemens (most dominant pitcher in the last 20 yrs) Bonds (numbers to great to ignore) Maddaux (four straight Cy Young Awards with a 1.56 ERA in '94 and 1.63 in '95) Biggio (2,700 hits, four times over .300), hit for power (six times with 20-plus homers, twice with 50-plus doubles), steal bases (as many as 50 in one season), draw walks (.400 on-base percentage four times) I-Rod (great defense and solid offense producer) Palmerio (look at the numbers, nuff said) Marino Riveria ( Most feared closer in post season history) MAYBE Tom Glavine (20 games five times and has two Cy Youngs, finishing in the top three in four other years. He has a 2.47 ERA in eight World Series starts, including a one-hitter in the clinching game in 1995. Makes him a difficult choice) Griffey (once thought that he would control the record books. Still 500+HR's Sosa (steroids, corked bat, horrible exit from Chicago, but will that keep him from the Hall? John Smoltz ( Cy young winner, 55 saves. Similar to Eckersely. Ichiro ( will the HOF count his stats with Japan? Thats the key) Pedro (is dominant but still his stats are quiet short of HOF status right now) Jeff Bagwell ( stats don't lie, he was very good but is he good enough) Hall of good Bernie Williams Mike Mussina Chipper Jones Mike Piazza If there is someone I missed let me know, and what are your thoughts?

    PETA members charged

Two members of the PETA Klan are each charged with 31 counts of Animal Cruelty. This was after police found animal bodies in comerical dumpsters throughout the North Carolina area. If you want to find out more info on the true puropse of PETA go to www.PETAkillsanimals.com. This is some bizarre info they have found on the headquarters of PETA that has some solid information from the state of Virgina and North Carolina.

What do you think will happen

I think that we should start making predictions for the new NFL season. Mine goes as follows. 1. Arizona Cardinals make the playoffs 2. The Raiders still manage to miss the playoffs

    WWE Season four fantasy

Sadly this would be the one time that the WWE remembers to keep him off tv after being arrested. Not sure why the hell I kept Kane in the lineup for this week. Kane help a brother out tonight!

    Future baseball HOF'ers

I believe there was a situation that involved Gary carter wanting to go into the Fall wearing I believe an Expos cap while the hall wanted him to wear a Mets hat. Of course I probably have the teams switched around in the story, if so my bad.

I am guessing he meant Tejada. However, the first couple of seasons have been great for Miguel Cabrera.

    Campaign 2008

Dashcle actually brought in alot for South Dakota. The trouble is that SD is highly republican except for the Souix Falls area. It wasn't smart of them to vote Dashcle out and replace him with a senator with little power due to the fact that Daschle brought SD alot of pork from various bills. What I was saying though is that he is a big longshot but is an option, even though it is highly unlikely.

    Lame finisher names

Course, it shouldn't really even be considered a finisher anyway. To the people that usually compare The Worm to The People's Elbow, at least the People's Elbow actually LOOKED devestating and finished off Main Event level people. The Worm should have stayed a set up move for...um...whatever Grandmaster Sexay's finisher was. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know it shouldn't but sadly it has been a finisher for him. The only thing that move would hurt is my dignity if I had to sell it.

    Favourite

I have to favorite Raws One was from I believe either Dallas or Chicago when there was a 10 man tag main event match between HHH, X-Pac, Benoit, Malenko and Saturn vs Rock, Foley, Rikishi, and Too Cool. It was an awesome match and one of the hotter crowds I have ever seen. The other raw was from Atlanta when ECW reformed during the invasion angle. The angle went from great to ugh when it was revealed that Steph was the owner of ECW now. But for an hour, Raw was unbeliveable.

    WWE Season four fantasy

Well got no points for Batista this week but overall had a good week, plus I still have points to game from Conway on heat. Onto this weeks lineup Batista Carlito Cena Masters Frankie Kazarian Kane Angle Eugene (hope the invitational is not a duck-duck-goose)

If Frank Thomas career is over...

He isn't a first ballot hall of famer in my eyes. I see him eventually getting in but it depends who else is on the ballot with him that year. What could keep him out of the Hall is a couple of things. He has been injury prone the last few years. Second he has had trouble with the media which some members could hold against him. Why he should get in we had were mentioned by Cena's writer. Also he was arguebly the most feared hitter of the 90's if you take away the sudden boom of Bonds, Sosa and McGwire. I say that it will take a couple of tries for him but he will get there.

    Campaign 2008

Well being from the midwest/plain states I can state that Hillary is absoultely dispised out here. Obama is still to new to be running for president. I say that he runs in 2012 depening on the republican ticket. People in the media have stated that they expect the 2008 ticket to be Jeb Bush vs Hillary. I disagree with that because I think that the American public will be sick of seeing the names Clinton and Bush as choices for the presidency. I see the Republican choices as being Frist Delay( dumb choice if they go that route) McCain (too old but I like him anyways) Guiliani ( too many skeletons in the closet) Santorum (Man I hope not) Deemecrats Hillary (Yuck!) Obama (too soon) Edwards (too closely assiciated with 2004 election) Daschle (needs something to do) I just don't see the democrats having many options this point for the 2008 election. I am sure I am forgeting someone but we will soon see.

    Lame finisher names

I have to say that Scotty 2 Hotty's finisher has to have the worst name. "The Worm?" Sorry but that reminds me of tequila and fishing not wrestling.

Let's discuss Late Night Talk Shows

I appear to be in the minority here but I actually enjoy Ferguson. I think that he does a good job in his interviews. I think that by using his scottish background it makes his show unique and fun to watch.

    Shawn Kemp

So he went to JUCO for a year. I still say that having 8 kids out of wedlock takes a drain on the bank account, espically since he is an athlete.

Simpsons Season 6 DVD Set Complaint

Season 6 I think also has the first part of the "Who shot Mr. Burns?" Should be a great season set.

Hey you have to pay the child support bills somehow. When you don't go to college and spend all your cash you have to do something.

    DC's "52"

All I can say is that those artists have their work cut out for them. Hope they hire alot of them to work on this.
