God I hope this will FINALLY be a wakeup call for Dixie.
-
Anyone know how ROH did on their first couple PPV's?
-
According to the The Wrestling Observer Newsletter Former WWE and WCW World Champion Sid Vicious is apparently in good shape in the hopes of another WWE run. Sid is 46 years old Wrestlingobserver.com I'd love to see him in ECW as a bodyguard for Elijah Burke.

To be fair, I'm sure that if TNA went all-out for this show then there would be people saying that, "TNA is trying to book a four hour impact in a two hour format" and that they're doing too much. Also, the spoilers on the WO site says that the main event went 15 minutes not 8.
-
They'll probably have guys do double duty.
-
I'm not saying they're going to "suck," per se, but they're just going to be the usual TNA garbage matches and stupid gimmicks that we've seen a hundred times. Abyss will bleed like a stuffed pig again, thumbtacks and glass will come into play, the reverse battle royal will look hokey and fake like last time, a bunch of tables will be broken, excessive chairshot, etc. And all that stuff will lead absolutely nowhere and they'll do it again the following month.
-
One thing that's pretty cool is that they've already announced eight matches for BFG. Even though half of them suck atleast we'll get some decent buildup to the event.
-
To be honest TNA was full of booking that didn't make any sense way before Russo came on board. Did we forget the Jarrett/Hebner/Zbyszko saga? That was worse than anything Russo has ever booked. As far as the Abyss stuff...it's been well known that Dutch Mantell has been in charge of writing Abyss' storylines so the blame pretty much goes to him.

Tenay is just terrible. Any angle TNA does that is meant to be taken seriously is ruined by Tenay. Every time he opens his mouth about a certain angle or storyline it loses its seriousness. Yelling over interviews and entrances, his wacky facial expressions..the guy is just the drizzling shits and the only reason he has a job is because Jeff Jarrett is in charge.
-
Get rid of Tenay completely. Find Scott Hudson and make him the play by play man. I just got done watching a tape of Nitro in january of 01 where Flair's Magnificant 7 had a mock funeral for Goldberg and Hudson did a great job as the announcer really putting over the Flair, Steiner, Jarrett as complete pricks. Hell Borash would do better job than Tenay. They also have a bunch of guys that could be great color commentators...Kevin Nash, Simon Diamond, Raven would all make good color commentators with personality. Dig up Mike Sanders or Glen Gilberti...either one would do a better job on color than West. It just boggles my mind how TNA can stick with this shitty announce team for five years and not give anyone else a shot.

I remember reading on the Observer site a week or so ago about how TNA is under pressure to cut losses. Any chance that Dixie will finally smarten up anytime soon and get rid of Jarrett under pressure from her father?

So long Big Poppa Pump...
-
Tenay and West were just atrocious tonight...more so than usual.
-
Perfect example of someone running their mouth that doesn't know what they are talking about. It's been reported many times that the Johnsons were the brainchild of Jerry Jarrett.
-
Okay...so im guessing we'll be seeing his involvement up to the level of Vanden Bosch in some sort of pullapart or something.
-
Okay...I'm probably missing something but exactly why can't TNA use the fact that Frank Wycheck competed in TNA two months ago to argue that the Titans are creating a double standard and are just trying to screw Pacman over?
-
Honestly the X title hasn't meant anything in over a year and really doesn't mean anything to a casual fan, who probably just sees it as a belt with a goofy, cliche X on it. So why not just do away with it and create a new midcard belt that guys like Storm, Roode, etc can fight over.
-
It's about time...they never really had a decent explanation as to what the "no limit X-division" entailed. The "X title" just sounds cheesy by name. They should replace it with a television title or some other secondary belt.
-
Yeah I definitly second that...

The bottom line is that around Fully Loaded 2000 the product was completely stale and they needed new stars but they chose not to create them. What did Jericho do after Fully Loaded? I believe he feuded with Kane over...wait for it...coffee! And benoit? Another IC title run? The fact is that the product back then wasn't as good as everyone says...it was stale and the booking was lazy. I remember almost every go home Raw before a PPV featured a six-man tag, slapping together three random feuds in one match so the writers didn't have to think.
-
You mean when they had Triple H feud with the Rock for something like six months with no direction at all? Or when Triple H/Rock/Undertaker buried Angle/Jericho/Benoit in one night when they were in need of new stars?
-
There's a great edition of TNA today up on the website showcasing James Storm. I'm really like his "drunk cowboy" role...he could make a pretty good main eventer for TNA if handled the right way.
-
If they can carry this audience into next week to see the Angle/Christian/Rhino match then they might finally break that 1.0 barrier.
-
Ron Killings and Konnan both quit TNA tonight before the TV tapings in Orlando. Both will be working for AAA in Mexico. -wrestlingobserver.com Brilliant move TNA...bury your best talker and a huge potential star into finally quitting the company.
