In order for the storyline to work they need to give the perception that it's different than everything else they put on. They need to have less scripting and a little more reality for this. They could have Nash, Sting, Booker, Angle, Team 3D as the main older guys against AJ, Joe, Jarrett, Guys like Abyss and Morgan, and Maybe the MCMG's. I doubt Jarrett would be part of the older crowd since he's probably going to come in as a face. If they could bring Foley in he could be part of the older guys as well.

This could be really good if done right. TNA needs an overarching storyline that affects the whole promotion.

I would usually agree with you on this but I think that Foley is smart enough to work out a creative control clause with TNA. From reading his books, he's always concerned with how his character is treated so I believe he'll work out terms where he'll have control over his storylines.

Really? The Jarret vs. Larry Z feud wasn't as bad as the stuff now? Or how about Slick Johnson involced in 4 pre-tapes per show. Maybe the 6-month breakup of Three Live Krew? Russo's not perfect and I disagree with his tendency to write a show that moves way too quick, pacing-wise. But as far as Russo's stuff before they actually got on Spike TV....I'd take SEX vs. TNA and Raven vs. Jarrett any day over the stuff The stuff that Mantel and Jarrett would book. But a big problem with TNA is something out of Russo's control and that's the presentation. They could have the best marketing campaign in the world but if people tune in and see the Prince Justice League, Tenay/West, World Champ Samoa Joe who's offense looks completely fake and, quite frankly, looks out of place in the ring with guys like Booker...If they see stuff like that they will tune right out. They need an image overhaul...new graphics, get rid of the lame lights and lasers that make the show look like it belongs on Nickelodeon, and first and foremost get rid of Tenay and West. Those two represent the product...they're the ones that explain what TNA is and right now they're absolutely terrible. Once they do all that then they could actually start marketing a show that the casual fan won't laugh at.

I could see them doing some interesting stuff with Foley/Abyss and Foley/Sting. Foley will probably have creative control so I could definitly see him coming up with some good stuff.

Russo had Sting fueding with Luger for his entire first run. He did the deal where it looked like Elizabeth and Luger were going to split but instead it was a SWERVE! and Liz turned on Sting, hitting him in the face with a bat. Sting then disappeared until January.

I would agree with this. I remember when they did the big brutal Abyss beatdown in early 2007 and Christian's coalition left him in a pool of his own blood. Well they had Konnan calling the angle along with Tenay and West and it made it so much better. Konnan kept talking about how Abyss deserved it While Tenay/West were disgusted whcih created a real contrast. It was one of my favorite angles they've done.

I've said it a million times..the worst thing about TNA is the announcers. The shittiest announce team I've ever had to listen to and if they were in any other company but TNA they'd be out of there in a second.

Last night they got another 0.9...actually rounded up from a .87. TNA doesn't seem any worse than a month ago? I honestly think a big reason to it is that Samoa Joe is not a credible champion who people will tune into watch. Especially after the way he's been buried for the last year.

Im gonna have to agree. Personally, I am a fan of Samoa Joe but I just don't think he's got the look or personality to be the main guy. I watched Lockdown with a somewhat casual fan who is a fan of WWE but also understands the psychology of wrestling and can understand what really goes on and what they're trying to accomplish on TV. And he just could not buy into Joe at all. His exact words were, "what's so special about a fat guy named Joe who is from Samoa?" This was after he laughed at the Samoan dancers for his entrance and his lame theme music.

And a huge boost for Obama.... He now has the endorsement of John Edwards.

It's not just catholics that he hates. I mean, can you imagine the media storm there would be if Jeremiah Wright came out tomorrow and said that Katrina was an act of god meant to punish the people of New Orleans?
