What pissed me off most about "Bowling" was that his solution to the gun problem was harrassing a senile Charlston Heston and than cutting up his speeches and dialouge. Fucking disgraceful, and a not so smooth way to blow off the complexities of the issue by trying to draw all the attention to an "evil mastermind." The cartoon is what did it for me. At first, I thought "well, he has some poits, but he's a bit misguided." Then I saw the cartoon part of it, and thought "no, he's full of shit."

-I watched "Smoking Aces" last night. Here's another movie that runs out of steam in the last third or so, complete with a dreadful plot twist. Still, I think it's worth checking out at least one. Alicia Keyes is in it (and absoulutely smoking hot), as are the funniest pair of Neo -Nazi brothers ever, Jason Bateman (I did not need to see him in bra and panties) and a hyperactive kid on ritalin who does kung fu and pops a major boner. -Iran hates porn apparently, and is hanging those who are pornstars. Come on, at least have respect for the Pornstars. The fact that they do what they do is an impressive mix of bravery and lack of self confidence. I knew a guy back in High School who wanted to be a pornstar. Apparently, he's pissed off several Canadians with this movie. Christ, I sometimes agree with Moore, but the man is the ultimate attention whore. It's more than a little convinient that he calls out Fred Thompson (who I'm not a fan of) right before his movie. Also, some of the bullshit he said in "Bowling for Columbine" piised me off, especially the little cartoon he made. I'd like his movies more if he dropped the immature "look at me everyone!" antics, focused on the topic, didn't feel the need to humiliate people, and didn't fabricate shit (like splicing and editing footage together in "Bowling.") That won't happen, and he'll continue to make me feel embarresed for considering myself a Liberal. That's the problem that I have with most political documentaries today: They preach to the choir. They don't challenge you. I tend to lean left (as I've mentioned) and I end up feeling unchallenged and unmotivated by them, because I want to find certain points that don't feel like preaching, and want them to actually challenge the viewer. If you ask me, a good political documentary should challenge you and make you think, not say things that you are already going to either agree with or that you already know. It's like listening to some (not all, but some) comics try to talk politics: They aren't funny, but they get a laugh out of people because that crowd thinks "boy, he sure is right!" That's what Moore is: His movies don't teach you jack shit, but they get his fans cheering, going "yeah, he sure is right" while not challenging anybody else.

Vince, you old bastard, you did it: You got me to post in the WWE folders again. In case you haven't seen it, Vince got in his lime last night at the end of Raw, and Yep, they killed the Mr. McMahon character. Or at least for a while. This is awesome. Yeah, it's dumb, but that's why it's great. TNA may have some of the better workers, but they can't come up with something like this. They come up with bullshit like VKM tormenting the WWE or Ron Killings doing horrible raps dissing the WWE. This is one of the reasons why compared to Vince, no matter how bad the product is (it's actually been decent lately), is still more interesting and better than TNA. I only watch TNA every now and again. I watch WWE more. Hell, it's got me posting in the WWE folders again, which I haven't done in ages. I am talking about wrestling again, which I haven't done in ages. I haven't been this interested in a long time. This folks, is good television. Of course, Vince will return. But for now, let's enjoy it.
