Horror. Don't matter if it's books, movies, games, tv, etc. If it's horror, I'll check it out.

Well, I'm back from my Memorial Day visit home. Nothing notable happened, so here's the uneventful events: -I finally bought The Sounds Dying To Tell This To You and Skinny Puppy's Last Rights. Both are great, especially The Sounds album. It's not great art, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. -I watched "Super Troopers". That movie just gets funnier everytime I see it. Come on, how could anybody hate that movie? -Also Watched "The Decline Of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years", and I liked it. It's a strange mix of depressing (Chris Holms drunk in his mother's pool) and hilarious (I have not seen that many people who dress alike since Highschool Gym). It's a bit suprising seeing that the band named Odin were a hair band, because with a name like that, you would expect something else. -Didn't watch Raw last night. Was it any good? -Preparing for finals this week and next week. Also, the weather here is nice, though I don't expect it to last very long. -It seems like Leena's new avatar has a picture of Jenna Haze. Good choice there. -Got a sunburn, but not a major one. I also ate a bunch of Peanuts, which lead to many trips to the bathroom. That's all for now. Next time: The worst movie sequals ever made.

The Worst Wrestling Show of All-Time
Gary Floyd replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
Royal Rumble 94-Really, when you get past Owen turning heel, this show was a disaster. The Rumble itself had a non-finish, and then there was the Yokozuna vs. Undertaker casket match, which brought idiotic booking to a (then) all-time low. KOTR 95-What hasn't been said about this one already? Some ECW late period shows come to mind, but I don't remember their names. NWO Souled Out 96-I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. -

Well, at least we won't have to play a bisexual now. Guess it's off to TNA for him.

Ok, this has officially reached "creepy" status.

It's not very often the Internet leaves me speechless. This is a rare time.

Well folks, it seems that over at Dread Central, there have been ten episodes announced for season two of Masters of Horror. Here's a list of episodes so far: -"Family", directed by John Landis and written by Brent Hanley, tells the story of a young married couple (Meredith Monroe and Matt Keeslar) that moves into a new home in a new city and finds out that their neighbor (George Wendt) is not what he seems. -"Pelts", directed by Dario Argento, written by Matt Venne, adapted from F. Paul Wilson’s short-story, is an erotic tale about stolen raccoon pelts that violently turn against those that covet them in this Giallo-style adaptation of F. Paul Wilson’s short story. Meatloaf and John Saxon star. -"The Damned Thing", directed by Tobe Hooper, inspired by Ambrose Bierce’s classic short-story and written by Richard Christian Matheson, is the apocalyptic tale of a monstrous force that devastates Sheriff Kevin Reddle’s family and his small Texas town. Sean Patrick Flanery, Marisa Coughlan and Ted Raimi star. -"Pro-Life", directed by John Carpenter, written by Drew McWeeny & Scott Swan, tells the story of a young girl trapped inside a clinic, that discovers the only thing more dangerous than her pursuers is the demonic secret that she carries within her. Ron Perlman, and Caitlin Wachs star. -"The V Word", a vampire film directed by Ernest ("Bones","Tales From The Crypt Presents: Demon Knight") Dickerson and written by Mick Garris, reveals the punishment visited upon two teenage boys who make the very poor decision to break into a mortuary. Michael Ironside stars. -"Sounds Like", directed and written by Brad ("Session 9","The Machinist") Anderson, adapted from a short-story by Mike O’Driscoll, tells the story of Larry Pearce - an ordinary man blessed with a gift of extraordinary supernatural hearing that drives him to the brink of insanity and forces him to take violent action to silence the horrific cacophony in his head. -"The Screwfly Solution", directed by Joe Dante, written by Sam Hamm and adapted from the Raccoona Sheldon short-story, is about a nightmare virus infecting our nation, transforming men into psychotic killers who attack every woman that crosses their paths. -"Valerie On The Stairs", directed and written by Mick Garris from a Clive Barker original screen story, tells the tale of a novelist who discovers there are fates worse than literary anonymity in this sexually-charged tale of terror. -"We Scream For Ice Cream", directed by Tom ("Fright Night","Thinner") Holland from David J. Schow’s adaptation of John Farris’ short-story, depicts a local ice cream man who, in this case, is turning sweet-toothed children against their parents. -"The Black Cat", directed by Stuart Gordon and written by Gordon & Dennis Paoli, has the great Poe, out of ideas and short on cash, tormented by a black cat that will either destroy his life or inspire him to write one of his most famous stories. Jeffrey Combs is slated to star as Poe. Other episodes that are possible include adaptations of Bentley Little's "The Washingtonians", Joe Landsdale's "The Fat Man", and Graham Masterson's "Anti-Clause"

So far, four episodes from season one have been released on DVD (I recommend "Incident on and Off a Mountain Road" and "Cigarette Burns"), with more in the coming months. Personally, I think it sucks that their being released seperately, and not in a box set, but oh well. Also, "Cigarette Burns" (which was directed by John Carpenter) was the best episode from season one, while William Malone's "Fair Haired Child" being the second best (and the biggest suprise), and John Landis's "Deer Woman" is third best. I haven't seen Takashi Miike's season one episode yet, as it was banned from showing on Showtime (due to extremely graphic torture similar to the one's in "Audition"), though it aired uncut on Bravo in the UK. It should be on DVD some time this year. Oh, and finally, if you noticed my avatar, that's the title character from Dario Argento's season one episode "Jennifer".

Oh, it's definately better than "Tales from The crypt", mainly because it doesn't have any Hollywood interference. Plus, there's no cheap marketing towards teeneagers, which is a huge plus, and it's from people who clearly love the genre. I think it's the best thing Horror on TV has had in a long time. Of course, the show has split a lot of horror fans, but most of the complainers are the tpes who complain about remakes and PG-13 horror movies while still going to see each one so they can talk about how they think horror sucks now. I hate people like that.
