It was made for about $15 Million. Not exactly a low budget, but definately less than the average summer movie.
-
At least "Land" made more money in it's opening weekend than any of Heorge's other zombie movies.
-
Ditto on that rating.

Nah, Tom doesn't go to Iran as a "journalist" and write down notes while thousands of people there shout out "Death to America!" (Yes, I really hate Sean Penn. More than any other Celebrity in existence.)

The OaO "Land of the Dead" talkback thread
Gary Floyd replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
Just saw it, and it's awesome. When you hear reviews that say "Romero shows them how it's done" it's damn true. This movie is tied with "Batman Begins" as the best film of the summer, IMO. -

He most certainly does not

Personally, The Smashing Pumpkins were never really my cup of tea. I do like they're cover of Depeche Modes "Never Let Me Down Again" however.

Since there's already a Star Wars thread, I thought it might be appropriate to talk abou this summers horror movies (there's alot of them, apparently). Here's the list of the films hitting theatres (and a few on dvd) this summer. -June 10th: "High Tension" and "The Ordeal" (Limited Release) (Ordeal can best be described as a French version of "Deliverance") -June 11th: "All Souls Day" (Debuts on Sci-Fi. From the director of "The Attic Expeditions" comes a zombie film set during Mexico's Day of the Dead. Features Actors Danny Trejo and Jeffrey Combs) -June 14th: "Dead Meat" and "Trauma (both hit DVD.) ("Trauma" is from the director of the awesome "My Little Eye", and stars Colin Firth, Mena Suvari, and Naomi ("28 Days Later") Harris) -June 24th-"Land of the Dead" -July 1st: "Undead" -July 5th: "Premonition" (DVD) (Japanese Horror film that has resevied some real buzz) -July 8th: Dark Water" (Yet another remake of a Japanese film) -July 19th: "Rottweiler" (DVD) (New film from Brian Yuzna, featuring Paul Naschy, and a bloodthirsty cyborg Rottweiler) -July 22nd: "The Devils Rejects" -July 29th: "The Night Fliers" -August 12th: "The Skeleton Key" -August 26th: "The Cave" and "The Brothers Grimm" (Brothers Grimm is from Terry Gilliam, and stars Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, Jonathan Pryce, Lena Headey, Peter Stormare, and Monica Belluci.) Well, talk about your anticipation of these films, non anticipation, or whatever. Oh, if you've seen them, or are going to, that wouldn't hurt either.

Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here" 1.) Led Zeppelin "Physical Graffiti Only one honerable mention, because there are far too many.
