Haven't started a thread in a while on the music boards, but hey, what the hell. Anyways, anyone anticipating any albums coming out later this year. Well, here are mine: -Current 93-Black Ships Ate the Sky -DJ Spooky and Dave Lombardo-Drums of Death-Yes, you read that right. DJ Spooky and Slayer Drummer Dave Lombardo will be releasing an album together this year. It comes out on April 26th, and will feature a few Public Enemy Covers, a track featuring Chuck D called "B-Side Wins Again"(Which was produced by Jack Dangers, aka Meat Beat Manifesto), and Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid. AFX(Aphex Twin)-Analord-This is currently being released as a Vinyl EP series, though it should be hitting CD sometime this year. It's suspossed to sound alot like his earlier materieal (ie Digeridoo, the old Caustic Window eps)

Should Flair get the title again? That's like saying "should I cut my balls off?" It shouldn't happen.

I don't know how they're going to top the "You Can't Do That on Television" gag. Other than that, it was a pretty funny episode, but not as great as last week's episode. "My son would like to plow you."

Well, you can add me in the list of people who thought it was "ok" or "Not as bad as it could have been". Didn't love it, but didn't hate it either. Dark Castle is pissing me off. Cause they always seem to make movies that are "ok" or "great opening but flamed out from there" or "ok, what the flying fuck was the deal with the talking cloud". It would be nice if Dark Castle could take one movie with an interesting premise and not blow it. For example, their next movie is "The Reaping" with Hilary Swank. The last time DARK CASTLE hooked up with the Oscar winner for best female actoress, they made "Gothika" Dark Castle royally pissed me off with the ending to "House on Haunted Hill". That movie had SUCH a mood of dark horror around it without overly graphic death and then it gets pissed down the leg with a STUPID CGI TALKING DUST CLOUD and a ghost saving the life of one of the character. Seriously, what the hell was that ending? Interesting fact (or rumor): The original "House on Haunted Hill re-make" screen play was suspossed to have the CGI evil thingy posses the dead bodies in the House, creating an army of murderous zombies. Unfortunately, Warner Brothers thought it was too much like the Michael Jackson video "Thriller", and had the writers change it to a CGI ghost. So far, there have only been two watchable Dark House movies: House on Haunted Hill, and House of Wax. The 3 other films are unwatchable dreck, IMO.

I don't think there's a rehab clinic in the world that would make Jake clean.

Weekend Boxoffice Report, April 29-May 1
Gary Floyd replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Just saw "House of Wax", and while it's hardly a masterpiece, I didn't think it was too bad. Some nice gore (scissors through the tentons, peeled off skin, and other goodies) and Eliza Cuthburt being a serious hottie. Granted, Paris Hilton can't act for shit (neither could the rest of the cast, save Cuthburt and Brian Van Holt as the evil twins) but she does get killed off good. Not a classic, but a decent time waster. Also, it has a great tribute to "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?", though it's basically a "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" knock off with a bigger budget. -
