I think Katrina's what did it. The war going south didn't help, but that just looked bad. I agree with this. I remember when Katrina happened, most of my relatives (who are hard core conservatives) pretty much grew fed up with them. Well, except for one part of the family, but I digress.

I wish this would happen, but I think it seems largely impossible. At this point, it's the only realy base they have. Giving up on that would hurt them too much, as it might take the Country a while to forgive them/forget what they've done to the country.

I used to work in a theatre like that. I remember that we'd get posters for really cool looking movies ("High Tension", "Zodiac") and we never got them. "Joe Dirt" was poular there too.

Obama served on the board for the Woods Fund of Chicago from 1993-2001 which doled out grant money to ACORN. Obama was ACORN's attorney in the Civil Suit case of ACORN vs Edgar, the Republican Governor of Illionois at the time (1993), which forced Illinois to implement the federal Motor Voter legislation that makes it easier for the poor and minorities to register to vote. He did donate $800,000 to an offshoot group of ACORN this year. Seems to me, the question isn't "Is ACORN working for Obama?", its "Is Obama still working for ACORN?" Ok, now you're making less sense than usual.

Then I would say we have been heading this "direction" over the last eight years more than anything else. I think people have kind of the wrong idea about what Facism is, because it is so closely associated with Hitler & The Nazis, so unless we see a group marching around with swastikas then it must not be, like unless we literally have a guy with a goofy mustache screaming German from a megaphone then it's ok. From my understanding, "Facism" is more about corporate control of the government, and I think that is pretty much the direction we are headed.

"Feast 2" is pretty awful. They basically took all the parts about the first one that I didn't like (though I like the first one) and pretty much amplified them. Skip it.

I think that Technique is the last great New Order album. Sure, Republic has "Regret", and that's a great song, but the album itself isn't that good. Get Ready has two good songs and a lot of bad ones ("Rock the Shack" for example) and Waiting for the Siren's Call-the less said the better.

That's one of my favorite threads of all time.

Like Byron said, Metal Box is the better of the two, but there's still some really good stuff on First Issue as well. Flowers of Romance is pretty damn good too. There's not much as far as guitar work is concerned, but damn it's great. Everything afterwards is unspectacular though.
