I liked Gilbert Gottfried the most. That man always manages to crack me up. "The Olsen Twins walk into a bar. One of them asks "give us two Ass Hurts" The bartender asks "What are two Asshurts?" And one of them goes "Well, Bob Saget gives you a chocolate milkshake, and you wake up on your stomach..."

Jesus, the music on this show is amazing. The soundtrack album can't come soon enough. I have a feeling someone's going to die in the next episode-and I don't mean the boys.

Clone Wars is bad, but not "I wanna kill myself bad" that some are making it out to be, though I didn't go in with high expectations-it's at least better than Phantom Menace. I actually wasn't annoyed by Ahoska, though The baby Hutt and the gay Hutt I call "Capote the Hutt" are a different story all together. Just remember that this is a minor movie made for kids-nothing more nothing less-and if you don't go into it with high expectations, then you'll be alright. Mirrors is a wasted movie. There's 3 kills total (not bad ones either-the "jaw ripping" scene is worthy of Fulci), and it all feels like a Fulci movie-that is, one he did in his decline. It's also too long (nearly 2 hours) and poorly acted (especially Kiefer Sutherland). That out of the way, it's a rare example if a remake that's better than the original (the original is really boring), and isn't too bad-just boring. Both get 4/10.

Honestly, I expected "Clone Wars" to do better. "Mirrors" did better than I thought it would though.

Depeche Mode is supposed to have a new album out by December. Granted, I'm probably the only guy who cares, but oh well. Also, after hearing the new Re-Up Gang album, I'm convinced that Re-Up should stick to mixtapes. Hopefully, the upcoming new Clipse album will make up for it.

Trailer for "Reurn to Sleepaway Camp", which hits DVD October 21.

Jean Rollin is currently working on his last movie.

Well don't worry, because Rob's doing a comic of it.

At the moment it's Richard Laymon's "The Woods Are Dark" and "The Midnight Tour."

"Mirrors" is basically one big "meh." There's a few nice moments (the jaw ripping scene is awesome) and the last 30 minutes don't hurt. The rest though, isn't that good, and good God, Kiefer Sutherland's performance was bad.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread
Gary Floyd replied to Black Lushus's topic in Television & Film
I saw it last night (not a huge Star Wars fan, but a friend of mine basically dragged me into it,) I didn't like it, though I didn't have high expectations. Suprisingly, I didn't find Ahsoka too annoying. -
According to Rotten Tomatoes, a tribute to Nazi Exploitation movies called "Blitzkrieg: Escape from Stalag 69" is getting a limited release this week. Wish I knew more.

That was actually more coherent than the real movie. "Inland Empire" was more coherent than that movie.

So Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz are doing

So, is the movie any good? -
I already saw "Tropic Thunder" (which is great). Tonight it's that animated "Star Wars" movie (friend keeps bugging me over it, so I finally caved in-Christ, I don't even like "Star Wars" that much) and tomorrow it's "Mirrors"." Expect reactions on Sunday.

"The Fountain" is a movie I really wanted to like. It had so much going for it-good acting, a great score, a great director, great imagery-that it seemed it was going to be like a home run. Thing is, it's also so fucking pretentious, it's infuriating. The movie beats you over the head with symbolism and a sense of importance so much, it drove me crazy. It's really the kind of movie that annoying internet film critics, obnoxious film majors, and arthouse mavens love to embrace, when in reality it's just a huge mess.

"I don't drop character until I'm done with the DVD commentary." Hilarious movie. Honestly, I was expecting it to be hit and miss, but I loved it.
