Apparently just before the mass firings began, Eddie Craven was released from OVW. He was released just after he won the OVW TV Title, which is being shared with his now former stable Bad Kompany via the Freebird rule. I don't know if he had a development deal or not. He is still mentioned when Bad Kompany is interviewed, but they are now acting like the don't know who Craven is.

I don't think so. I remember an interview with Bill Lawrence saying after the third season that JD and Elliot were done. That doesn't mean he can't change his mind, but I doubt that will happen. There hasn't been anything between them for a few seasons now.

I've never seen Bolen with his face painted like it shows on the website. He and Ryan Reeves make a decent team. They're not great or anything, but they do have an impressive look. I got a kick out of him when he debuted, but all of his appearances after that have been nothing short of annoying. He isn't bad. I don't think he'll amount to anything more than a Snitsky type, but he's not bad for current OVW. Why is he still in OVW? Their website has always sucked. Their TV show on CSS or Versus or whatever the hell the channel is called now isn't much better. Terrible production values and their shows are anywhere from 1-3 months behind what they show on their Georgia affiliate.

I only went to two shows this year, featuring 5 acts, so here are those 5 in order of show quality. 1. Pearl Jam - 6/24 - Cincinnati, OH - Probably the best concert I've ever seen and definitely the loudest crowd I've ever been a part of. Their 2003 show was flooded out, so the were making up for lost time. 2. Counting Crows - 7/12 - Cincinnati, OH - 5th time seeing them and they were much better than the 4 time I saw them 3 years ago. I wish a recording would surface of this. 3. Augustana - 7/12 - Cincinnati, OH - They opened for CC/GGD and were pretty good. I'd heard their stuff before and they did a good job considering they were playing in from of people walking in and in the daylight. 4. Robert Pollard - 6/24 - Cincinnati, OH - Opening for Pearl Jam. I didn't like him at first, but as his set went on, I warmed up. He won me over with the last song he did, "Love is Stronger Than Witchcraft". 5. Goo Goo Dolls - 7/12 - Cincinnati, OH - If you ever have any desire to see them (and I would hope that you wouldn't), take your Goo Goo Dolls CD collection, load them into your CD player and hit random play. Them playing live sounds exactly like them playing on a CD. No variation at all. No solos, no covers, nothing. Blah.

I don't recall Eddie Golden, Brute Force, or Clipmaster but everything else is definite. He was Brute Force at the i-Generation Superstars of Wrestling PPV in 2000.

I don't see how they can do the show without JD. You can't just change the main character after 6 years and expect viewers to stay. GTG and Shad. I don't know what GTG is, but Shad is the other guy's name. J.T.G. it stands for Just Too Good, since you were wondering. That's not much better than The Neighborhoodie. Well, now that I've typed that out and looked over it, yeah, JTG may be an improvement.

Tenryu is hardly a jobber. He's a former Triple Crown and IWGP Champion, just to name two of the title's he's held. Kitao is less recognizable, but they both are not jobbers.

I've not seen Godwinn on OVW TV once. I think all he has worked is dark matches, but from what I've heard he is just as good as he ever was, if not a little better. That's not to say I want him back in the WWE or anything.

My teams are based off geography or whichever team I was pulling for when I outgrew my "I'm pulling for the champs" pahse. College - UK This is strictly georgraphy. Unless you grew up in the Louisville-Metro area, you were likey a Wildcat fan and I am no exception. Now that I'm a student at Louisville I want to cheer for them, but I've hated them for so long that it is nearly impossible. Hockey - Colorado, Nashville I became a fan of theirs the first time they won the Cup. I've stuck with them since then. I picked up Nashville as a favorite when they became the closest team to where I live. Head to head, Colorado trumps Nashville. MLB - Atlanta, Cincinnati TBS gave me exposure to the Braves, plus they won a lot in the early 90s, so I liked them. I all but gave up on baseball after the strike. On the rare occasion I do watch these days, I pull for the Reds because of geography. I'm actually going to my first MLB game in 12 years next Friday in Cincinnati.

I'm pretty sure that once the Punk/Skyfire feud is blown off and Punk is gone from OVW for good, I'm not going to be watching anymore. There really is nobody there attracting my interest.

Every time I read results from OVW house shows, I wonder why anybody goes to them. The undercrad is typically filled with guys that have not made it on TV or guys are not remotely over (or talented). The main event is usually a joke, too. I saw results from one of the recent E-town shows and the main event was Aaron Stevens vs. Goose Mahoney, a referee, in a "Loser Can Never Come Back To E-town Match". Blah. As for their TV show, CM Punk vs. Seth Skyfire is on. This will be the rubber match between the two. New guys are being pushed, like Eddie Craven and Shawn Spears. Other than Skyfire and Evans, there are no real main eventers. Albright's barely been on TV since he was sent back down. Masters won't be around long enough to justify putting him in the main event. The next tier is Chet the Jet, Boris Alexiev and Cody Runnels and I wouldn't buy Chet as a credible main eventer. They are running out of unique guys. Shawn Spears vs. Pat Buck isn't going to keep me watching. Didn't they use a tag title when Perfect won? I think I remember seeing that. I know the WWF Magazine that reprted Perfect's win had either a really weird angle where you couldn't see the belt or it had a really bad editing job in an attempt to stick the IC belt in after the fact. Was there any reason for this, like the Warrior losing the belt prior to the tournament?
