I believe Rhyno would have been ok if they'd given his angle with Benoit a real payoff. Obviously Benoit would go over as he was headed up the card, but they never got the proper blowoff match that they deserved, a chance to do something memorable, and the perception of the angle being dropped killed Rhyno's heat, and when he started to recover from it in the team with Tajiri, they dropped that too. Rhyno isn't great or anything, but he's more interesting than a lot of the guys they try and push.

Bret was SMART and the shit he asked for made sense in context, and helped the business as well as himself. He was looking to have the best of both worlds, and the fact that he wasn't completely selfish like Shawn is what hurt him. The agreed upon plan of a DQ and the drop at the next PPV kept him strong in his home country, but would still have ended in Bret jobbing, and would have produced a hot month of TV to boot. Shawn wasn't looking out for the business at all with his political maneuvering, just himself.

Toine's been out, so it's basically the team they had pre trade, which was a .500 club. They're legit when Walker is healthy.

Grant Hill doesn't fit the Most Improved criteria. Simmons is a good choice. Drew Gooden and Kyle Korver should also get consideration. Joel Pryzbilla as well, he's been a monster the last couple months, but he didn't get run til the all-star break. I was thinking Brevin Knight as well, but he's more of a comeback player, he was doing this shit his first couple years with Cleveland and then just fell off the map.
