I wasn't implying anything like that at all, you misunderstood me. The Rock N' Roll Express obviously had a lot of things going for them and earned the heat they got. I'm not diminishing their accomplishments, it's just my opinion that the Rockers were the more talented duo and, if put in Morton/Gibson's situation, could have been just as successful.

But by that logic, EVERY face would have gotten wicked loud reactions, and not many - if any - did. And I guess the fact that you then admit to not liking the RnR, it makes a little more sense why you'd want to downplay their popularity or superiority over the Rockers. Where the hell do you get that I'm saying ANY face team would have got the same reaction? The Rockers played the same characters, had better looks, and were IMO better in the ring, that's why I think they could have had better, if not at least the same ammount of success. And right after I said I wasn't a fan of the RnR's I said I wasn't a Rockers fan either

I love how everyone at the forum w/ the link is in raptuous praise of the song while everyone here shits on it I was 14 or 15 when the Blue Album came out and it rocked back then, so I still have a soft spot for it, it's held up over the years. 10 years later they're still making music for teenagers, only it isn't nearly as good. This song is brutal, and Weezer done fell off.

I'll always remember the scene with Jerry, Morty (the 1st one), and Helen from one of the real early episodes where they're talking about Elaine and Jerry's dad goes off on a tangent about Loni Anderson, I think that's the only memorable dialogue he ever had

Might as well ask since the topic is here, but what's everyone's favorite "story"? First time I saw it I liked the Jules/Vincent/Tarantino/Wolf thing the best, but over the years I've just become a total mark for the Butch plotline, and that's easily the highlight for me now. IMO Bruce Willis' best performance.

Well, there's obviously no statistical way to prove it for or against anyone, but I'm using the thread I posted last night to come up with something that may shed a tiny light on it. And for the record, that quote was just a general statement, it wasn't intended as a shot at anyone. I agree with you to a degree. Christie is the type of guy you'd want to play pickup ball with because you know he's looking to get the ball to other guys and he's playing unselfish and smart. Francis would just hog the ball, hotdog it on the dribble, and shoot all the time. Guys like that might be "good" but they're no fun to be teammates with. Most guys in the NBA would rather play with a guy like Christie than a guy like Francis.

The R N' R's worked smaller rooms though, and the same region. You can't really compare the reaction they'd get at the mid-south colliseum to the Rockers working big arenas across the country for McMahon. I bet Michaels/Jannetty could have outdrawn them on that circuit if the roles were reversed. I was never a fan of the Rock N' Roll Express. Fine workers, but they bored me, and I think they're super overrated. Wasn't a very big Rockers fan either, but I definitely perfered Michaels/Jannetty to Gibson/Morton.

I don't think you can have it sim him as an OF who pitches every 5th day. You can go in and change his position to P and make him eligible for the rotation when you want him to pitch, but it has to be done manually.

Atkins is shooting .432 this season compared to .397 from Fisher. Fisher shot a HORRIBLE .352 last season. And BTW, before you call Atkins an "inconsistent gunner," realize that Fisher is a career sub .40% shooter. Atkins is a better shooter. Why anyone would want Fisher over Atkins is beyond me.

I'd hate to see him go out like this. The guy is/was a great player, with or without steroids, and I want to see him come back and prove that he can still get it done without the juice. Of course, there's the very real possibility that he knows he won't live up to his recent standards and doesn't want to take the hit to his massive ego....

I'd say he's pretty fortunate to be in Denver, it's the perfect situation for him.
