the 20 team Draft is in 1 hour, hope everyone makes it

Glad to see the Pats lock up Moss. Him and Brady played so well together, it would have been a shame to only get one season of that. Now that NE has lost Samuel and Gay, here's hoping they make a play for D'Angelo Hall. Or better yet, Pacman Jones!

This guy was a major bust for me last season, but I need a SS, he's been on my radar the last couple rounds, and at this point I can't pass him up. Here's hoping he doesn't bat .230 again! Stephen Drew, SS, Arizona Diamondbacks

Shaq was out of sync with the Suns offense, they're trying to see how they can use him without just setting up on the block. They were running a ton of pick and rolls with him and Nash and just generally moving him around. He looked lost a lot of the time, and the guys other than Nash didn't really know how to play him, and Nash hasn't really figured out his passing angles, but that will be easier once the other 3 guys learn to move and space around Shaq better. To Shaq's credit he did look to be moving around pretty well and he was on the defensive boards. He was ok on defense, but he got beat too many times trying to double team or jump out on rotations. He's too slow be doing that shit. It was pretty funny seeing Walton go completely overboard praising him, but he's looking at Shaq like he's Walton on the 86 Celtics.

I'm sure he's underrated, nobody watches fucking Spurs games

They are improved, and um, LeBron singlehandedly spanked Detroit last year

Well, personally, I think this is a fucking great trade for the Cavs. Marshall was a total bust, Drew Gooden is a good player but they don't miss a beat, probably better in fact with Varejao out there. This greatly improves their depth at power forward and center, say what you want about Wallace but he can still make an impact on the game and will be on his best behavior for King James, Joe Smith is quietly having a really good year, honestly I don't see much drop off from Gooden's production with him, and you can probably play any combination of the 4 at the same time depending on matchups. Trading Larry Hughes is a coup, he's always hurt, and when he plays he shoots sub 40%, he's been a colossal bust. I would much rather have Szczerbiak than Hughes at this point, Wally's a great shooter, and he's another guy like Smith who's quietly having a very productive season even though it seems like everyone has written him off. If you just look at the games where he's playing 26-30+ minutes he's probably averaging 17 or 18 points, a bunch of games where his minutes were in the teens hurt his numbers. All he'll be asked to do for the Cavs is catch passes from LeBron and knock down his looks, it's a perfect situation for him, and he won't actively hurt them like Hughes did. And Delonte West can definitely contribute off the bench, he does a little bit of everything and he made a living with the Celtics getting open looks from Paul Pierce, same as he'll get with James. So yeah, they got 4 players who can contribute to a playoff run, other than Gooden they didn't give up a single player who was crucial to what they do, and moving Hughes and Marshall is addition by subtraction. I think they just gave LeBron what he needs to carry that team back to the finals, and it doesn't really burden them financially any worse than the players they gave up did, I think Wally has one year left and Wallace has two, same as what Hughes had. Only way the trade could have been better is if they managed to pawn off Damon Jones too.

This deal is completely insane. Miami makes out like bandits unloading Shaq for an in his prime all-star, and I imagine Marion will find the situation in Miami to his liking and be less likely to opt out of his contract. It says something for a guy when he'd reportedly be happy to move from one of the best teams in the league to one of the worst, but he and Wade should compliment each other and Marion will get to move back to the 3 and take as many shots as he wants. The Suns are taking a ridiculous gamble here, between Shaq's age, health, declining skills and contract, not to mention how he's going to co-exist with their offensive philosophy. Not that I don't think it could work, but man, that's a ballsy risk to take when you're sitting on the best record in your conference. Obviously the reason they're getting Shaq is for the playoffs, but how much can you really expect him to give you against Yao, Bynum, Duncan etc. at this point? Crazy.

Yeah, they probably would have been better off losing one of those games. The "pursuit of perfection" obviously took a toll on them, they had to be mentally and physically exhausted, and it was the ultimate motivation for their opponents, especially the Giants after they got so close in week 17 and worked their way to a second chance. They definitely had a mental edge there. Here's another question, what does this mean for Tom Coughlin? The guy has been oft-maligned throughout his time in NY, is he like virtually criticism free and un-fire-able now?
