I think you're over-analyzing. Can't say that Jericho crossed my mind during that segment. It just seemed like your typical WWE bait and switch designed to drag as much ratings out of as little delivery as possible. People know that Austin was at the PPV so they may expect/assume him to be at RAW, they set up the Santino segment to make it look like he'll interrupt, and then tell the audience that they need to tune in next week. Of course Austin is so far beyond the point of being a ratings mover that the effect will be negligible, they've just been using the same tired tricks for so long they don't know any other way to book a "cliffhanger" at this point. Same old shit.

I tuned in hoping to see Jericho. I should have known better. Instead I got a reminder why I almost never watch RAW anymore. What a boring fucking show. You can count me in the camp that's lost patience already. The window to hook me in has closed and I don't plan on watching RAW again any time soon. Also, does it annoy anyone else that these videos run and nobody on the fucking show acknowledges them?! Maybe the "suspense" would be more palatable if other characters were playing along with it and the audience wasn't alone in wondering either what the fuck it's about or when the fuck it's going to be paid off. It really doesn't hold up well isolated as it is. Have the announcers speculate, have Vince/Regal/Coach speculate, have Grisham/talent make brief mention during promo time...etc. etc. Re: The Santino segment. Santino is entertaining but that segment was terrible and teasing Austin like that (causing the crowd to boo the namedrop!) was asinine. They've been teasing this for how long? Why not just pay it off? Or at the very least get Austin out there but let Santino avoid the stunner for another week. Santino and this angle aren't that good and Austin's act isn't that exciting.

I'd put Telfair on the bust list at this point, and he's a guy who absolutely would have been a better pro with a couple years of D1 experience.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/post/Ra...-?urn=nba,51022 Also, ESPN is claiming heavy discussion between the Bulls and Lakers, with the Lakers asking for Deng, Gordon, Thomas and Noah, which is way too much for the Bulls to give up. And supposedly Kobe agrees and would use his no trade to block the deal. The article also says there are warring factions in the Lakers front office, which I would assume is Jerry Buss and his son wanting to trade Kobe and Phil Jackson and Jeannie Buss wanting to keep him. I don't know enough about the Lakers to say where Mitch Kupchack stands. I still think that Gordon, Thomas and Nocioni is more or less the most that Paxson will give up. Gordon pretty much has to be involved from both team's standpoints, he doesn't want to move Deng or Hinrich, he won't trade both Thomas and Noah and Thomas would have far more value to LA I would think. It's also going to be really tough to make this trade happen from a salary cap standpoint without involving a 3rd team, Wallace and Hinrich are the only guys who even come close to Kobe's salary and I don't think LA has any interest in Wallace.

Fuck 'pulling me out of anything'. There ain't shit wrong with what I said. And I'd love to see sources on these 'studies' you're claiming. A non-custodial parent in a divorce, where the child has already spent time knowing them as a parent, yes, obviously they need to remain in the picture and I'm sure there are volumes of research that would back that up. But a father who was never in the picture after the conception? Nah. The kid is better off with a single mother or with whatever man she marries who wants to take on the responsibility than an absentee father like Brady would be.
-
No, what I'm saying is I don't understand what people can reasonably expect out of Brady in this situation, and why he's being labeled a deadbeat dad and shit like that. I've never heard anything from Bridget Moynahan bashing Brady and it seems like people in this thread are just jumping to conclusions. I'll repeat, without an involved relationship with the mother what kind of father can you expect him to be? I don't think he'd be a very good one. Throw in his schedule as an NFL player and her schedule as an actress and he's reduced to being that guy that the kid sees once or twice a month. What can he realistically offer that's of any benefit to the mother or the child? Put yourself in their shoes. Why do people just assume that the kid or the mother would be better off with a long-distance father who's just barely involved, or act like they know what goes on between the "parents"? As Czech said, "step up and be a dad for a few months"?? What the fuck is that? Being a parent is a HUGE responsibility, and it's not something anyone can half step. If they aren't committed to the mother or the child the kid is better off without them. Personally, if I were in his shoes I think I'd do what I could to be involved with the kid, but not doing so doesn't make him a villain. Irresponsible, sure. But this isn't like Shawn Kemp serially impregnating girls or Jason Caffey doing it and bailing on child support.

Re: Brady and Leinart as "parents" What the hell do people expect? Neither was in a relationship with the woman when she found out she was pregnant, neither pregnancy was planned, the women knew this to be the case and chose to go through with the pregnancy. Nothing wrong with that from either side, and the women knew or should have known what they were getting into. And really, with children so young how much parenting can you expect from them at this point. The mother is by nature the primary caregiver, and neither man can be a reasonable father figure with the absence of a loving relationship with the mother. As the children get older they could play a role in their lives, but beyond monetary support they have little to offer now. I don't understand what they're being knocked for.

On the motherFUCKING bullseye I have never in my life heard anyone brag or boast about Brady pulling tail. Make jokes about it? Sure, but nobody acts about it in the way suggested here. Also, I wouldn't say that San Fran fans unequivocally supported Bonds, more like they grudgingly accept him. There was next to no outrage at them pushing him out the door.

How the fuck could you not be impressed with Yao Ming? He's easily the best center in the league and practically unguardable 1-1. The only thing you can say negative about his game is you'd like him to be a little more physical. He's kind of slow and he's getting hurt like once a year, but for a guy his size that comes with the territory.
-
I in a handful of leagues this year, my best team (IMO), 10 team roto: Kobe D. Wade Melo Jamison Kirilenko J-Rich LaMarcus Aldridge Rondo Granger Nocioni Brand Gotta add some size and another point once the season starts (and if Granger has the year I'm expecting I'll have some good trade pieces in Jamison and J-Rich) but I should run this league. Got Brand in the 2nd to last round and he'll sit on my bench all year and hopefully give me a good month or two down the stretch. That strategy worked well for me with Gasol last year.
-
Drop Blount and Moore ASAP, they're worthless. Other than that you look solid, but it would help to know if you are roto or H2H

Is this league still happening. I just realized I won last year and should defend my crown B)

I think the long as fuck layoff for the Rockies combined with Beckett/playoff experience/Boston crowd gives the Sox a decided edge in game 1. I'd love to be proved wrong but it just seems like all the momentum would be with Boston right now and the Rockies will probably be overwhelmed by that combination. Game 2 is the big game in my eyes, if Colorado can bounce back after what I'm betting will be a loss in game 1 I think they'd have a decent shot in the series. I think homefield gives Boston an edge as it did against Cleveland, but the loss of the DH will hurt Boston in Colorado and it wouldn't be out of the question for the Rockies to take at least 2 out of 3 there. I'd love to see Colorado win but I'm picking Sox in 6 or 7

gonna take me a minute to make a new pick, hang on

wow, that is some bullshit

Well, whatever, I'll assume we are Delonte West, G

Are we skipping Adam this round also?

What I read is the woman went to a hospital first and then the hospital contacted the police. The Kings put Williams on indefinite leave from the team.

The season doesn't start for almost 2 weeks, why are we panicking?

NFL Week 7: You Mean There's A Football Team In Denver?
Precious Roy replied to CanadianChris's topic in Sports
My favorite part of the article is where he says the Pats and Colts are really white, especially if you count Mexicans and Samoans, because, um....yeah.....
