Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Precious Roy replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Chris Benoit wouldn't want you to do that. He took a lot of pride in his Facebook following. Funny...but seriously, a lot of people will change their tune quickly if Benoit did indeed have a hand in this. Then they're morons. I'm going to still love Benoit's wrestling and admire that aspect. He could kill a school worth of kids and I'll still like him as a wrestler. His personal life has nothing to do with him as a wrestler. Wrestling is full of scum bags. I couldn't feel more differently about it. Do you not feel any compassion or remorse for the woman and CHILD Benoit took the lives of? If Benoit did this, I think they should destroy all master copies of his in ring work, or at the very lease blur out his likeness and silence any mention of his name in all future releases with a match featuring the (most likely) murdering scumbag. Too stupid for words. Look, I just found out one of my favorite wrestlers of all-time is pretty much the prime suspect in the murder of his wife and child. I'm pissed, I'm angry, I'm depressed, I'm sad for his family. This is a very fucking hard thing to deal with, for all of us. I'm just not in denial like so many of you seem to be. It's almost laughable to try and imagine Nancy could've over-powered and murdered Chris without a gun or knife. Not jumping to conclusions does not mean people are in denial. It means they are grown ups capable of waiting until they have enough information to make an informed decision. This post would have made sense 6 hours ago. WWE.COM is reporting murder-suicide, do you think they're in the business of idle speculation right now? I think it's safe to work under the assumption that they're going to hold off on posting heavy shit like that until they're fairly certain it's true, and that it's time to start believing the worst. -
The OAO Tribute to Chris Benoit Raw Thread.

I hope they just show 3 hours of classic Benoit matches and do the tribute matches on Smackdown. -

I didn't have a problem with the McMahon angle, but they need to drop it completely now, and Vince needs to be on the show tonight. -
Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

A tremendous loss to the sport. He was the best wrestler alive in my opinion and I'm sure he would have gone on to do great things as an agent or trainer. I'm really having a hard time getting this to sink in, it's probably the last thing I was expecting to read today, and when I saw the thread I figured it was one of those pranks people like to pull. His whole family? Jesus. I don't want to speculate on the circumstances out of respect, but with him not being at the PPV last night and the news just coming out right now it seems really suspicious. RIP Crippler, RIP Woman, my prayers go out to their family and friends. Fuck. -
He'd be an idiot to make it anyway. Jefferson at 22 years old is on the verge of becoming a franchise power forward, Gerald Green is 21 with superstar potential and has barely even scratched the surface of his talent, and there's going to be some really good players for the taking at #5 in this draft. Even if you can keep KG for 3-4 years that's way too much young talent to give up.

NY/Detroit/Denver trade
-
On the topic of trades, here's one I came up with the help of the ESPN machine MEM: Hakim Warrick, Damon Stoudamire, Brian Cardinal, #4 pick, future conditional first or 2nd for PHI: Andre Miller, Kevin Ollie, #12, #38 Pau Gasol gets the veteran help he's asking for plus the Griz are able to add some young talent, the 6ers leverage their surplus of picks to move up to an impact spot while keeping their #21 and #30 picks, add an exciting young player in Warrick, and take on two solid vets with fairly reasonable contracts I've been trying to swing a 4 team trade with LA, NY, Sacramento and Minnesota but it's too damn complicated

If I were the Suns I wouldn't give up Barbosa for Gordon straight up, much less in a deal involving Bell also. Everything I've seen tells me Barbosa is a better player than Gordon, especially on the defensive end. Gordon is only good for putting up points, and there were games last year where Barbosa was absolutely unstoppable on offense...driving, finishing, passing, shooting from outside, the only reason he didn't put up Gordon's PPG is because the Suns have so many scorers. As for the picks, there's no reason to give up #'s 24 and 29 to move up to 19 in this draft unless it's entirely need based or due to an infatuation with a specific player. There'll be just as good of players available at 24 as there is at #19, probably as deep as 29 as well. This is one of those drafts where some of the late first rd and 2nd round picks will end up having better careers than guys in the teens and early 20's.

Nice finish.

It makes more sense to put it before the Diva match and let JR and King say their piece than to mix it up with and have it overshadowed by the McMahon angle. Seems like the classiest way to handle it under the circumstances.

What happened to Estrada?

A bunch of vets dimed out Kiffen to the union, way to kick it off Lane

I'm assuming it was done to get a little extra money off the books for when they re-sign Billups/McDyess. Delfino is going to make close to 2 mil next year, and they need all the cap space they can get. I think a pair of second rounders is fair value, you can ALWAYS find good players in the second round. Great trade for Toronto.

It's not like it's their first dance. It is funny watching them celebrate though. They celebrate like they play, boring Tony Parker gets the MVP. Was that the worst Finals appearance ever by Cleveland? And can we offically put the brakes on the LeBron=MJ talk. That lasted what, 5 days?

I want the Knicks to pick Stephane Lasme out of UMASS. He's a project, his offensive game is raw and he doesn't have ideal size (6-8, 225) but he's one of the most ridiculous shot blockers I've ever seen. The guy tied the NCAA record for triple doubles by blocking shots and rebounding, and he averaged something like 5 and a half blocks a game. Everyone keeps saying the Knicks need a Charles Oakley type bruiser to put next to Curry, but they already have David Lee who's a great rebounder and solid defender and he should be getting 35-40 minutes a night, what they need is a guy who can come from the weakside to challenge shots, which is exactly what Lasme excells at. He'd give them some versatility out there with Lee, where they could kind of flip the 3/4 position on defense and offense. Lasme's a lot like Tyrus Thomas actually.

GODZILLA V. KING KONG

yeah, so much for my theory that ECW would win this Henry eliminates Chavo! Nice one!
-
I'm thinking because RAW's picks have been so high profile that ECW wins the last 2 picks, with one of them being a big name (maybe Rey Mysterio?), and they'll hope to pop a good rating for ECW tommorow night. Then they can continue stacking RAW in the supplemental draft.
