You're the one overanalyzing. Believe me man, worrying about brand affiliation is OVERANALYZING to the fullest degree. The WWE hasn't enforced strict brand split "rules" in years. In the past couple of years countless wrestlers have jumped from show to show with no plausable explanation, either for one shot appearances, short programs, or to go to the show fulltime. Orton showed up on RAW after his suspension with no kayfabe reason ever given, when they were pusing the RAW v. SD feud for the 05 Survivor Series guys were all over both shows, Big Show and Kane especially, when ECW started all kinds of RAW/SD guys showed up there randomly, more recently the Hardys and MNM have been on both shows with no explanation. Suffice to say, I and everyone else have lost count of the number of times the "rules" circa. 2002 have been broken, and anyone who once cared about that sort of thing already got the complaints out of their system. If you want to say, "man, I wish the WWE did a better job with the brand split" fine, but don't shoot down what, given the WWE's track record, is as plausible a booking idea as any, based on arbitrary rules that the WWE itself hasn't obeyed in years.

Jamal Crawford dropped 52 and the Knicks, without Eddy Curry, beat the Heat by 10. Jerome James played more minutes than Shaq! HOLY SHIT!

    1. Which team looks like the best bet to win the East? I'll go with Detroit, but there's really no "best bet". Right now there's about 5 teams you could make a legitimate case for. If Chicago gets Gasol I'd change my answer. 2. Which team looks like the best bet to win the West? Phoenix 3. Which team looks like the best bet to win the NBA title? Phoenix 4. Which dark horse has a legitimate shot at surprising us and winning it all? Lakers in the West, Knicks in the East 5. Who's been the best rookie this season? Brandon Roy, but Bargnani has been coming on strong the last month or so 6. Who's the MVP so far? Kobe Bryant 7. Fact or fiction -- the Phoenix Suns are the greatest offense you've ever seen. Fiction. 8. Fact or fiction -- the Toronto Raptors will hold on to their lead and win the Atlantic. FICTION. NYK ALL THE WAY! 9. Which will happen first -- the Knicks will win 50 games in a season, the Celtics will win 50 games in a season or the Lakers will win an NBA title? Knicks win 50 10. As we sit at the midpoint of the regular season, which story line or situation interests you most? How much more awesome can the Knicks get?!?

Oh, he's an all-star, but he's only starting because people are brainwashed by cool shoe commericals and NBA Live games. There's no way he should be starting in the all-star game this year. That's all I'm saying. I don't really get how Nash can win two MVP awards and put up insanely great numbers on an awesome team and still not get enough fan support to start in the game, but whatever, maybe he should get a better agent

He's having a good year, but he's also shooting the ball poorly (43% fg, 68% ft, 31% 3's) and has missed close to 10 games. Nash is a no-brainer over him, and I'd put Deron Williams in there before him as well. But we all know why T-Mac is starting, all those commericals and video game covers have to count for something

Poor Dirk, the guy will NEVER get a start as long as KG and TD are there. It's not like those two don't deserve it, but still.... LOL @ Shaq & T-Mac

Gay's game is a lot more similar to Luol Deng than Tyrus Thomas. And even if you want to compare the two, I would much rather have fearless rimrocker Thomas than passive, inconsistent Gay. You've got a point about Warrick/Thomas having similar games, but if the Griz are going to trade their best rebounder/shotblocker/inside scorer it only makes sense to want someone with Thomas' upside and shotblocking/rebounding ability in return. Unless they're getting back an exact replica of Gasol they're going to end up with some mismatched pieces, and when you're trading away an established all-star center you want the best/most valuable young talent available, and Thomas is the youngest/highest upside player the Bulls have to offer. Deng is the guy who's more of a mismatch for their roster with Gay and Mike Miller at the 3, but you take him over Ben Gordon since he's a better all-around player and younger too.

I'd imagine Tyrus Thomas is the real deal breaker for Jerry West, and that Chicago would prefer to keep Ben Gordon at this point. Thomas and Deng is fair. Trading the pick as well is a steep price, but Gasol is probably worth it.

He actually lives in Arizona, and the WWE would only get press attention if he showed up for it, which I doubt.

Kobe for MVP. He's doing this without Odom, without Kwame Brown, without Chris Mihm. Look at the Lakers roster! They really have no business being as good as they are, and they're doing it in arguably the toughest top to bottom division in the better conference. Nash is great, back to back MVP etc. etc, but he's also got Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudamire back at close to full strength, Barbosa becoming a stud, and one of the best coaches in the league. The first MVP he got it for turning the Suns into one of the best teams in the league, last year he got it for keeping them in the conversation without Amare, he's got great stats this year and the Suns are playing outstanding ball, but giving him the award AGAIN when the Suns are at full strength and the roster/coaching has been together for a couple of years now is overkill to me. Gilbert Arenas is a candidate, but the Wizards also have Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison having great years, and you'd like to see them have a better record. They'll probably be a top 3 seed in the East, but it's the East! If anyone from the EC wants to win the MVP their team needs to have a killer w-l record IMO. The Wizards are also 6-13 on the road. No way you can give it to Arenas over Kobe. Dirk would get my 2nd place vote, and I wouldn't have a problem with him winning. Dirk or Kobe.

I can't either. I give the edge to Indiana, with it being at worst for them an even swap. Troy Murphy averages a double double for his career and can stretch a defense with his outside shooting. He never found his role playing in Nelson's run n' gun, but he should be a nice fit next to Jermaine O'Neal on a more half court oriented team. Ike Diogu is only 23, a little unpolished, but a ton of upside. He never got minutes with Golden State but he's got the potential to be a beast on the inside. Another guy who pairs well with O'Neal. I'm surprised to see the Warriors trade both Murphy and Diogu. Mike Dunleavy has been an inconsistent pro, and moving his contract might be the biggest plus for the Warriors. He might never live up to his potential, but he's got a lot of talent as well, and a change of scenery should be good for him. There's been talk that he and Baron Davis didn't get along, and like Murphy he never fit into the role that Don Nelson envisioned for him. Al Harrington is the key piece for the Warriors. He's a nice, versatile player who should be a good fit for Nelson's style. Stephen Jackson is a total head case and it's addition by subtraction for the Pacers. With Baron Davis and Monta Ellis getting so many minutes and both playing very well, and Jason Richardson due back at some point after the all-star break, along with Mickael Pietrus, I don't see him being a long term fit for the Warriors, and he's not a guy you want around if he's not getting a lot of minutes/shots. Jasikevicius is a good backup PG, but again, with Davis, Ellis and eventually Richardson on the team he's not going to get a whole lot of minutes. Josh Powell is a young forward that I've read some nice things about, both the Mavericks and Pacers had good things to say about him, but he never played much for either team. So the way I see it the Pacers added two good young big men who should fit their style of play, got rid of Stephen Jackson (A++++), and took a shot on Mike Dunleavy blossoming in a new situation. The Warriors got a quality starter in Al Harrington, a solid backup PG, and shedded some payroll, but had to take on the seemingly untradable Jackson to do it, and also now have an excess of perimeter players and a lack of depth at the 4-5. Looks to me like the Pacers got the edge both short-term and long-term. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see Indiana working on another deal, possibly redirecting Dunleavy to the LAC for Corey Maggette.

And Flair is predictably taken out by RKO. That's like what, 3 times? 4 times? I've lost count. It kind of loses the intended impact when it happens every other week. This show is firing on all cylinders.
