WHO THE FUCK IS SAYING THIS?! WHO!!?? NOBODY SAID THIS! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!? We're saying he's playing with a bunch of players who defenses, at this point in time, don't respect. That's the same whether they win or lose last night's game. There's no Andre Miller, K-Mart and Camby who're demanding defensive attention, there's no Shaq collapsing the defense....it's "fuck you LeBron, you're not beating us tonight, we'll take our chances with Eric Snow and Flip Murray." If Flip Murray starts making those shots every night defenses start showing him more respect, and it makes LeBron's life easier, but if LeBron never puts him in that situation when Flip is open why should the defenses ever start to respect him? LeBron is trying to find his way and develop a winning team here. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. He's realized the right way to play at a young age, while some guys never do. This is just common basketball sense. When the defense puts all it's attention on one player it's up to the other 4 guys to make them pay for it. LeBron, while he struggled with this, continued to attack in the proper manner. I'm sure if LeBron could get easy 1-1 looks he would take them, because that's the best play, but he wasn't getting them last night. It's amazing that LeBron is playing the game the right way and gets criticized for it. If you want to say he's passive and doesn't have what it takes to be a clutch player, fine, you can believe that. I'm sure the Cavs would have been much better off if he'd start jacking up 25 footers and forcing up acrobatic shots with 3 guys in his face. Be more like Kobe, because Kobe is such a great leader of men! I'm glad Ripper came in today and cleaned up this bullshit naiwf is spewing. When I started on it last night I was hoping he'd come in here with his 2 cents, since he actually knows what he's talking about most of the time and won't jump on or off a bandwagon just to be contrary.

I don't know, teams just collapse all over LeBron in the 4th because they haven't been forced to respect anyone else on that team. He can't do anything without 2 or 3 defenders hanging on him. Damon Jones has been a total bust, Marshall is having a horrible year shooting the ball...now they've brought in Flip Murray to be the shooter that LeBron gets open looks for. LeBron still did a lot of good stuff down the stretch, like where he got a block down on one end, then came back on offense with the drive and kick for a Snow jumpshot. If they want to build him as the next Jordan he's going to have play like him. That's hilarious. The media has unrealistic expectations, don't buy into that crap. He's just barely 21 years old. When Jordan was that age he was still playing for North Carolina. Jordan didn't have his team above .500 until his 3rd full season (his second year he missed most of the season with a broken ankle), didn't get his team to the top of the East until his 7th year in the league. LeBron is still the future of the NBA, he will win championships and MVPs, just have some fucking patience, it's pathetic that everyone wants to jump off the bandwagon already.

I'll be watching. I don't think Dallas can make it to the Finals this year, but they can really show me something by beating San Antonio tonight. That said, I think this is a much bigger game for San Antonio, because they don't want Dallas building up any more confidence. As defending champs it's their job to step up and pimp slap the Mavs back to reality.

So, now Billy Wagner and Pedro Martinez are out too This is getting ridiculous EDIT* Vlad, Manny and CC Sabathia as well...
-
And to add to that... Isn't sarcasm. It's douchebaggery. Nobody talks like that. If someone said that to you would you laugh? No, you'd think he/she was an excessively wordy douchebag. Sarcasm is supposed to be snappy, not longwinded. This isn't an Oscar Wilde text, our language has evolved...

I could care less about that one Washington St. website /SARCASM!!!! WHAT I REALLY MEAN IS, "THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT, IT WAS INFORMATIVE, BUT I CHOOSE TO BE A REPRESSED ASSHOLE WHO REFUSES TO EXPRESS APPROVAL." --------------------------------- Seriously, it works. Not so well on the internet, but think about the tone which it would be delivered with in actual conversation
-
You're missing the point with "I could care less." It's a sarcastic response that has become accepted slang in our lexicon. Literally is the same way, when I say, "man, I'm so hungry I could LITERALLY eat a horse" it's understood that it's a joking exageration I'm strongly in favor of colloquialisms, as long as we don't lose sight of the roots of these terms Oh yea, how about that Netherlands Nine!

ESPN is having a Bonds reality show? THIS I have to see. I'm amazed that Bonds, who shows so much contempt for the media and the public, would put himself out there like that.

Actually, Isiah would probably be a GREAT college coach. He's obviously got an eye for talent and he's a smooth operator so he'd be a great recruiter. He gets instant respect from young players for being such a great player, and he's a student of Bobby Knight, who like him or not gets results.

If FrigidSoul isn't around I want dibs on the Pats, and I renounce my rights to KC to someone who's actually a Chiefs fan
-
It's probably just a vote of confidence, because Isiah Thomas is SO AWESOME! Either that or they're bringing in Donnie Nelson and Frank Layden
-
Christ, I need to see this. Youtube, where you at!?

I'm 99.9% sure that was all a show to help his eventual multi-million dollar lawsuit. Yeah, well I'm pretty sure there's small print regarding attending an NBA game and the possibility of a loose ball or player ending up in the stands. If he was hoping for a fat payout he's going to be real disapointed. I didn't see it, but it sounds hilarious.

VX, I think you were thinking of Reggie Evans

Don't look now, but Darko is starting to be productive off the Magic bench. 8 pts, 5 boards and 2 blocks in 22 minutes v. Seattle, 6 points, 3 boards, 4 blocks and 2 steals in 19 minutes against Houston. In the two games combined he shot 5/9 from the field and 4/4 from the line.

Y'all should have listened to Gary Sheffield...

I want to run with that kid
-
I doubt anyone talking shit on this kid could stroke it like he did in that game....so please shut the fuck up. 2Gold, I don't care if you're emo depressed and need to take drugs...you're a miserable asshole. An autistic kid found the zone...it was awesome....love it....I can't believe people want to get down on him. If you can't watch that clip and feel super happy for that kid you have no soul. And if you watch the clip, no fucking way was the other team just letting him score out of sympathy. They were down double digits at the end of the 2nd half....this is Rochester, NY high school ball.....if you've ever watched high school basketball you can tell that the defenders weren't just letting him score at will....they were 'playing d' but they're just mediocre high school kids out on the court during a game they'd already lost....you can't expect them to be Kobe stoppers.

good for you. I'm pretty sure the NBA players who live and ball in LA 'give a fuck'
-
they play in the same building....

Basically...contracts started getting out of control in the mid-late 90's due to lack of market restrictions....in a hyper competitive environment the owners went overboard trying to outbid each other....the market was so fierce that guys like Brian Grant, Juwan Howard and Vin Baker got massive deals.....the owners got sick of it....which led to the 99 lockout and the new CBA and all the salary restrictions and cap rules that came with it. All these massive expiring contracts of recent years are leftover from the pre-lockout deals. It's why guys like KG and Marbury still make insane money, why Penny was making $15 mil this year, and why someone like Shaq could resign for $20mil a year (a provision in the deal that allows for resigning of players to equal their previous deal, but if the player goes on the open market they have to adhere to the current rules, basically a grandfather clause). Pretty soon all contracts will fall in line with the new math. Watching this LA-LA game.....Elton Brand is out of his mind this year.....and it's nice to see the Clippers take it to the Lakers

One upside of the Francis deal, it makes the Knicks awesome in NBA Live Knicks - 99 Nets - 72 Francis - 22 pts, 5 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 turnover, 9/14 fg Kidd - 25 pts, 4 assists, 0 rebounds, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 9 turnovers, 7/37 fg Who says the Marbury/Francis backcourt can't D up?
