God, I can't remember who was on my team last year, and I can't seem to access it through Yahoo, do you have a link to last year's thread? Edit* LeBron is one keeper, I do know that

Ditto, and I thought with the 3rd priority he was as good as mine. Major bummer. Oh well, I suppose winning the championship will be some consolation

Rays had first and second with no outs and Perez hits into a double play. Runner on third with 2 outs now.

I'm watching the Sox-Rays game (it's in the 12th) and David Ortiz just bunted to move Pedroia to second. WTF is that?!

One thing I haven't heard a lot about with the Pats is the loss of Donte Stallworth. His importance to their passing attack was kind of overlooked last year, he was really great as the third wideout mixing and matching in different formations. He wasn't a deep threat or a red zone target and didn't put up the crazy stats like Moss and Welker, but he had 46 catches, 27 of them for first downs, 700 yards, was consistent week to week, and he made things easier for the other wideouts. I'm not going to just assume that they can just plug Gaffney in and get the same results, and then there's also the fact that Gaffney was pretty productive himself as the fourth receiver last year and we've got the unproven Chad Jackson filling that role. Also factor in how hard it is to do what the Patriots offense did last season on a year to year basis, or even for a whole season as they came out on fire in the first half and had everyone on their heels, then the rest of the league started to adjust and play them tougher as the season went on. I'm definitely expecting some regression from the Patriots passing game. I do think the running game will be better this year with the addition of Lamont Jordan to compliment Laurence Maroney. Maroney is good but he hasn't shown he can carry a full workload yet, and I think Jordan can be much better than he showed in Oakland. They've still got Kevin Faulk too, and Sammy Morris ran well before he got hurt last year. The running game should hopefully offset any dropoff in the passing game and maybe help keep the defense fresher as well. Anyway, I expect the Pats to win the AFC East with no less than 11 and no more than 13 wins

Awww yeah suckas, first team to clinch a playoff spot!

Nothing in the NBA is worse than this abomination

In the old days a guy like that would be put in a tag team to play face in peril and let a young guy get over doing the comebacks. For example they could have put Stevie and Colt Cabana together. It's a shame that they don't put any effort into tag wrestling.

Olympic ping pong needs ball boys, watching these guys chase down the ball after every point is like watching people play in someone's basement

^ What he said, except... Even if Jericho isn't added to the scramble match (hard to tell right now, they could and maybe should delay the Michaels return for a month) he's still being built up as the #1 heel on the show (JBL is clearly temporary) and absolutely needs to be kept strong for the eventual blowoff with Michaels and given a justification for feeling he deserves a title match. It was a good finish that got over both men. Jericho got a cheap, opportunistic victory over the champion. Punk went toe to toe the entire match and we were left with the feeling that he could have just as easily have won. Jericho is the guy who's been destroying Shawn Michaels at every turn and Punk looked great against him. He looked strong. This match did more for Punk than all of the non-finish matches and segments that ended up with him on the mat at the hands of Kane/Batista/JBL. And Rey was getting squashed and pinned clean in non-title matches by Khali and Mark Henry. How is this anything like that? Even with the Batista/Kane stuff he would end up on the mat, but he would never actually get pinned. Rey would kill for the booking of CM Punk so far.

My thing is, at least in the non-Russo periods and even the "Russo on a leash" periods, the really bad stuff wasn't any worse than the bad stuff now, and there was actually some really good matches and angles on a consistent basis. And like you said, the pacing and the "throw a hundred things at the wall" mentality right now is really tiresome, and it's something I just don't have any interest in sitting through. It's a two hour show yet everything feels rushed and matches that could be good don't get enough time. You can't even sit and think on the match or angle that just happened because it's immediately overshadowed by someone else running in and taking the focus off it or them cutting to some other thing. I just can't invest any interest in that, whereas in the past when TNA did longer matches on TV and kept their focus on just a few things at a time, yeah it wasn't all good, but it was a show I could actually sit down and watch. I rarely watch TNA anywhere, and it's a company I do want to like, but every time I give it a chance I'm left with the desire to put it on the shelf again. I can check out a segment or match on the internet, but trying to watch it start to finish is a real chore, and even though I could easily pirate the PPVS, I rarely even bother anymore.
