Nate Robinson in and immediately makes our best play of the night with a sweet crossover and dish to Curry for a dunk

And true to form, despite the stellar pre-seasons we've seen none of the rookies yet

Man, the Knicks offense has been UGly with a capital UG so far. I'm amazed they've put up a 26 pt 1st, but it's mostly due to Q-Rich launching shots out of his ass. Oh, nice job going 0-4 at the line Eddy Curry. Plus, I've already seen a couple dozen little things that I know Larry Brown is grinding his teeth about, these guys are gonna LOVE his post-loss practices

Money aside (And if the Mets and Red Sox involved it can't be but so much more money), I don't see why he'd sign with the Yankees. He'd just be Rivera's set up man for the next 3-4 years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He says he cares more about winning than closing. He'd be in line for the job barring a complete meltdown, and I'm not so sure Mo has 3-4 years left in his tank, the guy turns 36 later this month

Now THAT would have been cool

eh, I don't really know Phillies politics, but it sounds pretty plausible to me. Gillick has a good chance at success, so it's win-win what position is Ruben Amaro Jr in, head scout or something?

C-Webb with a double-double at the half, 18-10, 8/13 fg, and toss in 4 assists, 2 blocks and steal. That's a better game in 20 minutes than anything he did on the 6ers last year.

Possibly moving to Delaware or Massachusetts...

Springfield has the basketball hall of fame and......the Kwik-E-Mart? yeah, I'd advise against moving to Springfield..... I like Pittsburgh a lot, actually, I recommend trying to go there -
Bobby V is interviewing with the D-Rays and the Dodgers. LORDHAVEMERCY!

some random stuff off Rotoworld (my comments in () ): - Furcal would be willing to play 2nd for the Mets (go get him Omar! Furcal and Reyes would be a dangerous combination) - the Padres offered Hoffman 2 years/$10mil (what the fuck!? the two years make sense, but that's a serious lowball on the cash, and stupid when Hoffman had already come out in the media saying he wouldnt offer a hometown discount and was prepared to test the market. Hell, maybe the don't want him back, but that'll piss off the loyal Padres fans to run him out of town with ass offers) and the big one... - Pat Gillick is set to become the Phillies' general manager, FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal reports. (great move for the Phillies, Gillick has an excellent track record, at all his stops)

You've seen a lot of players run from shortstop past the third baseline full speed to catch a foul ball? Yeah, sure you have And even if that play can be made without going over the wall into the crowd, it wasn't that time. Baseball is not an exact science, you can take the same situation and get a different result every time. If Jeter gets 10 chances to make the play he won't go over the wall every time, but on the chance he did get that's what happend. And "everybody who's not a Yankee fan" usually means people who actively dislike them, as most baseball fans seem to do. Of COURSE they're going to think he did it just to try and be cool, which is seriously one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I don't like the Red Sox, so I'm going to say Johnny Damon ran into that dude headfirst in 2003 because he thought it would be "cool" and he needed an excuse to grow a beard. Yeah, that's the ticket. EDIT* and that's the last I'll say, out of respect for Keiper.

You're an idiot. He was RUNNING FULL SPEED WITH HIS EYES ON THE BALL. Moron. Anyway, I'm bummed that A-Rod didn't win, but Chavez is good too

C-Villian didn't drop, he went about 5-10 picks earlier than everyone expected.... Granger was a steal, but I'm not sure how much run he gets on Indy. What did he do pre-season? I agree on Francisco Garcia, I think he'll be a really solid pro, and I like the fit for him on Sacto Gerald Green dropping to Boston at 18 was surprising, a lot of experts had him in the lottery. Reports out of Boston are positive, but Doc thinks he'll need a few years to develop, obviously. I also liked the Hawks getting Salim Stoudamire in the second rd, and the Griz getting Hakim Warrick at 19, he's a pretty dynamic player EDIT* surprised Prince got so much money, but he's a lot more valuable than his stats would lead you to believe, plus he's steadily improved his scoring and realistically can be a 18-20 a night type guy. Add in his great defense and I suppose the deal is warranted, they definitely couldn't let him get away

Yankee FA's: Kevin Brown - PEACE John Flaherty - likely to return Tom Gordon - hopefully kept, but age is a concern and needs help Tino Martinez - pains me to say this, but should probably retire Felix Rodriguez - your services will no longer be needed Rey Sanchez - Indifferent. May be able to find better backup 2B on market Ruben Sierra - has outlived usefullness on this team, very poor year at the plate, 17 hrs in 2004 last gasp. Should probably retire. Bernie Williams - accept a backup role and play for peanuts and you may be usefull to us as the new CFs caddy. Mwahahahahaha Al Leiter - nah Hideki Matsui - no brainer keeper Alan Embree - nah FAs I hope we persue: RP: BJ Ryan (everyone will be after him), Octavio Dotel (don't know when he's going to be be healthy, but could come cheap, and as a 7th inning guy we could do much worse), Latroy Hawkins, Ugeth Urbina, Scott Sullivan, Scott Eyre (decent lefty option for the price he'll command) SP: Ted Lilly OF: Brian Giles, Randy Winn, Juan Pierre, Jay Payton 1B: Shea Hillenbrand Also, Womack is never going to play in our lineup, we need to pawn him off on someone

MIGHTY BERKMAN AT THE BAT! OMG! OMG!

What kind of punishment can they give him? It's not like he could be any worse off, HE PLAYS A RETARD! Yeah, at worst they could release him, but with TNA and AJPW's (and now NJPW apparently) fixations with ex-WWE guys, it's not like he couldn't get work

A more important question, will ANYONE sign Spree!??!??!
