Shelton Benjamin is SO tagging with Koko B. Ware

Agreed That said, the ladder match and 30 minutes of Angle/HBK is a great way to lead with your best foot forward. I have no problem with stuff like Piper's Pit, a McMahon promo, an Austin segment etc., as long as we get the ring action as well.

Heat/Velocity status addressed by WWE.com
Precious Roy replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
maybe this means "classic" matches spliced in? Are they CHARGING for this service, it says VOD. I really fucking hope not, they treat the guys on the b-shows like jobbers, they aren't on PPVs, how could they expect people to pay for Velocity/Heat matches? -
I'll just take this opportunity to say I TOLD YOU SO, GLASS TOWER YANKEE BRASS! Pavano AND Wright, two horrible signings biting us in the ass, what a surprise....WE COULD HAVE HAD FUCKING PEDRO MARTINEZ Oh, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Torre has/had his hands tied on Wright. The Boss is probably trying to save face and justify that boneheaded move.

That's a really good pickup for Chicago, props to John Paxson. Sacto didn't have room for him with Abdur-Rahim and Thomas, but he can play, and he'll get the chance with the Bulls.

Abyss, fair or not, is seen by a lot of people as a poor man's Kane, nevermind the fact that he's a better worker....I don't think putting the belt on him is smart business. Joe is going to hold the X-Division title before he moves up, so that's out of the question short term. That leaves Monty Brown, and ideally they can build up to a Brown v. Joe showdown down the line
-
The belt should be on Monty Brown sooner than later, and personally I think Nash gives him a better rub than Jarrett.

Nothing, but it's your pick. May I suggest.... that guy---->

It was done to sell tapes no doubt. That's why, as far as outsiders go, at the very least AJ will be back in the finals. I agree they should put a regular over, but they'll also run the risk of said regular doing less shows if his name blows up. The biggest thing is to put on a shitload of awesome matches to sell tapes, because it can't be cheap to bring all these guys in.

christ, this sounds exactly like my freshman/sophomore years of college. gotta love giving yourself a three hour time frame to meet a deadline, with a program you don't even have, while of course taking the time to get high first

I bet that's flammable as a motherfucker

*Spoiler from tonights ROH show*
Precious Roy replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
AJ is like Rob Van Dam was. Can't make everyone happy, but the bottom line is he entertains a lot of people. Great worker? Traditionally, no ("fucking sucks" is going way overboard), but without debate a hell of an entertainer. -
My money's on Hero at least going to the finals. I think that scrapped Chris Harris match was meant to put him over for a strong run, and he'll get a big name opponent in the 2nd rd (Sabin?) to make up for it. I'd expect AJ to be in the finals too, 50/50 on Quackenbush. I can't see Danielson losing first rd, but Castagnoli seems like a guy you might want to push into the 2nd rd. I like that matchup, don't like that it's taking place first rd.
-
They really should shop both shows, or a combination of the two, for syndication. My local UPN station shows the RAW and SD recap shows on saturday mornings, and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't pick up a B show with actual matches for a weekend spot.

HTQ FEARS SHOOTING ON PRECIOUS ROY!

What about Pinella-->Florida? I love Lou, if Torre leaves, and if Donnie and Joe G weren't in line already I'd want him in pinstripes

Ryan Howard is a STUD! You know Thome is getting traded, and the Phillies will probably eat most of the contract to do it too. Any early predictions on where Howard gets drafted in Fantasy ball next year? I'm thinking he sneaks into the 4th or 5th rd.

Or there are those of us who are reasonable and take this interview for what it is. She's known Jarrett for a long time, she's friends with Jarrett, tough shit, we all have to deal with it. She comes across as sincere and honest throughout, and hopefully she lives up to what she says about trusting D'amore & co. to run things creatively. If you really want to read between the lines, rather than gossiping like school girls about whether or not they fuck, she comes off as a competent business woman interested in the bottom line above all, and if it ultimately comes down to making TNA a success or stroking JJ's ego, call me crazy, I think she'll worry about the bank account. The reality, whether you like it or not, is that the Jarretts started this company, they brought in Panda, and Jeff will always have a + spot. The silver lining is that D'amore & co. have done a better job of handling this grenade than any bookers before them. If you're going to watch TNA, or comment on it and be taken seriously, you need to come to terms with this. Bitch, bitch, bitch....you accomplish nothing. I don't even like Jarrett, but it's amazing how much certain people's hatred of the man can color their outlook. And honestly, compare Nash's work in TNA, and even his last WWE run, to most of his WCW run. As far as his "game" is concerned, what little is left of it, I'd say he's getting the most out of what he has to work with, rather than completely dogging it like he did in WCW. Dixie didn't call him AJ Styles or Samoa Joe, she simply said he was doing his best, which from my POV is truth. Given his age and injury history his performances with Jarrett and in the 3-way with Brown and Page were better than they had any right to be.

Has there been a no hitter yet this year? I can't recall..... Fun game between the Phillies and Braves on ESPN, 6-6 in the 9th

He could probably guard the point for stretches while Jordan...er, Kobe runs the offense.
