Has it been confirmed that TNA is paying for this slot? I see a ton of speculation, but haven't read anything from an official source. And IF TNA is paying for it, that must also mean that they'd be recieving the advertising revenue directly, at least I hope it would, as they'd have to be REALLY desperate to pay for a timeslot AND let Spike collect all the direct revenue from it. With all that money going the other direction, unless they get a major bump in PPV and DVD sales they'll continue to lose money.

I'll chip in to bring Brown to the Knicks. I love Herb Williams and everything, but he's the wrong coach for a Dolan/Thomas run team right now. I know Herb is a humble guy, and it would be amazing if he'd take a backseat and be Brown's head assistant, but he'll be a great head coach someday regardless. I hope if they do get Brown though, that they can keep him on board somehow.

I would be THRILLED with 8-8-2 coming in 25-28 minutes a game, we've got enough scorers and that's exactly what we need out of our center. But I question whether he'll be able to get that much run. He didn't play more in Seattle not because Fortson, Collison and Evans were so hot, but because his conditioning and foul trouble prevented him from playing any more. I hope that changes, but at the moment there's no reason to believe it will....

Probably, since he never played for Miami before last season The Knicks went out and gave a $30 million dollar contract to an average center, great. On the plus side, he's a big mofo who blocks shot and can rebound when he really wants to, on the downside everyone knows he played out of his mind in that Sacramento series, he won't bring that energy over an 82 game season, and his production is likely to be right around his career averages. The biggest thing is, he's never averaged more than 17 minutes a game in his career, because he racks up fouls like nobody's business. I hate to be a cynic, but this has Jim McIlvaine, Ike Austin, Calvin Booth, etc. etc. written all over it.

Yeah, but personally I don't give a shit about Edge/Matt Hardy. I hope it's done well and is entertaining, but they're not getting my money based on it. A Jericho world title match is the first thing they've booked this year that I would consider ordering a PPV solely to see. I realize that Matt/Edge should and probably will draw quite well, but Jericho's drawing power shouldn't be discounted. It's plain silly that they've keep Jericho down for so long. I'm not the biggest John Cena fan, but it's hard to put on a bad match with a face as hot as he is, and I think Cena can step up his game enough to really give Jericho a good match. Just Jericho on dick heel offense combined with the heat for Cena should be enough to carry it to ***, anything else is gravy.

Frye is scoring fairly well but his rebounding and defense has been weak thus far. I'm starting to think the best case scenario for him is as a high energy reserve ala. Tyson Chandler. Sweetney, JYD and Mo Taylor will be more productive starters at the 4, even though one will likely be moved, and we should be adding a starter caliber center at some point. Nate Robinson is playing great, I'm starting to get excited about his prospects, I think he's going to be a super sub this year. David Lee is getting hustle numbers. He probably won't be a factor this year, but I can see him developing into a contributor down the road.

I can't handle reading through 4 pages of this, so I don't know if it's been suggested, but I think you need to go pretty slow with things. Keep going with the idea that Matt isn't under contract, keeping his Indy dates is a nice touch and Matt should keep talking about that, have Edge and Bischoff put this over and claim he'll never get that close to Edge and Lita again, hold off a few weeks w/ Edge & Lita taunting him a bit but also acting paranoid about him showing up, find a way to pull off a KILLER angle with Matt getting to Lita and scaring the shit out of her (this is where they need to channel Stone Cold), and build to the match from there with Edge demanding an unsactioned match or something. I actually think it's better if they hold off on the match for now and just do the DDP/Taker "confrontation" at SummerSlam, without the squashing of course, and do the first real match on the next RAW ppv. Ideally they should get two big PPV matches out of this, and I think they'll ultimately have Edge going over as the final step to building him for the main-event, so the key is really getting Matt over as a hot character to the point where it won't matter when he loses the last match, and everyone wins. That said, I'm more excited about Jericho getting a main-event

Aw shit, that sounds like a nice situation for Kwame. Phil Jackson to babysit him and build back some of the confidence that Jordan shattered, and fellow HS-->NBAer Kobe to motivate him. Watch Kwame blossom and LA become a force again. FUCK I don't think they're trading Odom though. Phil loves him, and he's hella versatile, can play the 3 or 4 depending on if Kwame is in at the 4 or 5. I wonder what Isiah is going to do now. With Hogan it was just Hollywood being Hollywood. He would only work with a select few guys, so few in fact that he was bringing in guys like Piper and Warrior just so he would have guys to work on PPV. Hogan was above wrestling more than he absolutely had to, and was mainly just looking for ways to protect himself as a draw. Less PPV appearances, no matches against on the cusp guys... With Goldberg it was just a case of them not having any heels built up to job to him. Hogan wasn't going to do it, Nash was being saved...and after that there wasn't much. Certain guys COULD have been built up with some foresight, Bret Hart, Giant, Jericho if the politicians hadn't nixed it, Raven if they hadn't wasted that match with the pointless US Title switch, but WCW never thought that far ahead. They did a PPV squash w/ Hennig and then had him wrestle faces Sting and DDP because they were the only guys who could really put him over.

We could offer Sweetney and Tim Thomas I guess. Nobody really wants Thomas, but he'd be a free agent at the end of the year. And Sweetney will end up being a more productive player than Kwame, mark my words, but Isiah is determined to upgrade in size
