Agreed. One reason I wasn't a big fan of Impact is that most weeks it felt rushed or incomplete. They either tried to pack everything in and couldn't do it all justice, or only gave time to a few guys. With the type of talent and M.O. that TNA has they could really benefit from 90-120 minutes, especially given that on Spike they'll have to plan for commercial time EDIT* Just heard on the LAW that TNA will be showing Impact via their website, so that's a start I guess....

I REALLY hope this is true. 10 or 11 on Saturday isn't such a hot time, but it's better than being on WGN which I and most of the Northeast don't even get.

Agreed. I'd like to see more screen time for all of the X-Kids (Colossus, Shadowkat, Jubilee) who've only been bit players thus far. Writing out Cyclops and Nightcrawler kind of sucks, but with Beast and Angel joining and other characters potentially stepping up it could be a blessing in disguise. Realistically, as long as Wolverine is front and center most people won't care. I just hope they have a plausable way to eliminate those two, Cyclops especially because without Marsden around to play out his death scene it could come off bad. If it's "Poochie died on the way back to his home planet" in the first 5 minutes then thumbs down. I'd also like to see Psylocke on screen, she was my favorite X-Chick, but I've pretty much given up on that

Damn, I got to watch the first 4 games and didn't even bother with the 4th quarters, there's finally a Finals worthy game and I wasn't around to see it So, do the Spurs close it out in 6? That's a heartbreaker for Detroit

I gotta disagree. The Lakers aren't going to contend for a championship for at least two years, if this Green kid is really a stud he could blossom at just the right time. And learning from another HS-->pro guy in Kobe would be good for him. Thanks for posting that stuff Dangerous A. Would it be possible to cut and paste the next mock draft?

I think you just answered your own question. People like Gambit because he's a classic anti-hero, and he has an aura of mystery to him so as you never quite know where he stands. I mean seriously, most of the X-Men are so square, a gambling, thieving rogue from the Latin Quarter spices things up a bit. And having Gambit as a Magneto stooge is lazy writing, he'd be much better playing both sides.

Indeed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "for those of you who love manipulating other people's posts"

I'm inclined to believe it's just a deal for 24/7, DVDs and future ECW events, probably an action figure and t-shirt in there as well. It's premature to speculate until we know what the plans for ECW are, but my pipe dream is that they reunite RVD, Sabu and Fonzie and give us, along with the Dudley Boyz, a true veteran tag team. They could probably milk 6 months out of a feud between those teams if they booked it right.

I didn't know the Yankees were a single person. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> we form like Voltron

He's hit leadoff or #2 his whole career, not surprising

Jeter's second home run of the day, but it was off some dude named Bartosh!??! WTF?!! I think he snuck into a Cub's uniform when Dusty wasn't looking
-
Someone sounds a little grumpy about dropping to 0-2 in this series
-
Jeter with his first grand salami! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Who's got the longest streak now?
-
He started doing a HORRIBLE Howard Cosell impression slash Derek Jeter fellatio. It was embarrasing.

Someone snipe Joe Buck, PLEASE!

^what he said. Nazr played really well the first month and a half/two months of the season, and then did NOTHING until getting traded to San Antonio. He had a ton of games where he played 30 minutes and put up numbers like 2 and 9 or 4 and 7. He's a nice guy to have if you're the Spurs and need a tall guy to compliment Duncan, but he wasn't going to help the Knicks. It really bugs me when talking heads, Bill Walton (who I like) especially, rant and rave about the deal like it's the basketball equivalent of the Babe Ruth deal.

I'll give Pavano a hundred chances to succeed because we're stuck with him, but I DIDN'T want him, I DIDN'T think he'd pitch well in the Bronx, and he BLEW a 4-0 lead with a weak ass performance. The Yankees need warriors. Pavano is not a warrior. Carlvier Pavquez, prove me wrong you filthy overpaid faggot

I hate Greg Maddux and I hate you -
I knew it would be Waltman

Luis Gonzalez had it midway through last season, and he's back full strength this year, which is good news for Rocco. That's rough though, a torn ACL and a wrecked elbow??!!

I hadn't heard that Webster can't D, but that's something that can be learned, especially with Herb Williams teaching. Unfortunately, there isn't a single guard on the Knicks right now who plays real D, so there's a chance he picks up bad habits off of Crawford and Marbury. I don't think Green will drop that far, if Portland doesn't get him I think Charlotte probably would, they've got time to let him develop, or maybe Toronto who could use a swingman. Frye, I honestly don't know much about, I only saw Arizona play a couple times last year. His scouting reports say he's got good post moves, is athletic, can run, and is a pretty good shot blocker and rebounder. He's listed at 250, which if legit is a good size, but the knock on him is that he's too soft. If he won't bang down low he'll be pretty useless to us. I could be wrong, but I'm hoping Frye isn't the pick.

I like to see teams, even when they aren't teams I particularly like, get it right. For that reason, I'm really crossing my fingers that Atlanta takes Deron Williams at #2. They NEED a PG, they already have Harrington, Josh Smith and Josh Childress, all swingmen of varying skill sets, and really have no need for a green, though obviously talented 3 like Marvin Williams. Deron Williams will make those three players better. Chris Paul might be more talented as a 1-1 scorer, but I really think D-Will is the better fit given what ATL has. I am not on the M-Will bandwaggon, I think Milwaukee should take Bogut #1 regardless of how he does in these combines, and he's the only other guy I'd consider over Deron Williams if I were ATL, though I'm sure if they decide to go with a PG Chris Paul will get major consideration. As for my boys at MSG, I think Isiah is high on this Martell Webster kid, a HS SG. I would support that pick if he's as good as people say, Ray Allen type is what I'm hearing as far as a silky smooth shot which he can create off the dribble, which is a talent that you can't teach. We do have Crawford at the 2, but Webster can come off the bench for a couple years and Crawford can play a little 1. Danny Granger intrigues me, but it's probably a little early for him, and we have Ariza. And I love Sean May, think he'll be one of the best pros from this class, but we're kind of stacked up front. I'd still take him though.

I'm not from Canada, but I've been watching via the internets. Lahey's been the highlight of this season by far with his complete relapse and descent into shit madness. The labeled bottles of booze are classic. Ricky's appearance in court last week to bail out Trinity was hilarious as well. Is next week's episode the last? cuz there's bound to be some major shit going down with Cyrus

The Shield Season 4 Offical Thread

I'm wondering which way they go with the new captain. It was a nice momentary swerve with Dutch getting offered and turning down the gig, I thought he was going to take it to fuck with Vic. I'm guessing it could be Wyms despite what she said or else someone new brought in ala Close, or else Dutch backtracks and takes the job after some promises of autonomy and being let in on the investigation of the Strike Team.
