too many to mention, but Joey and Paul E. getting emotional, Jericho coming out as 'Lionheart', The FBI in (almost) full force, Sabu making the save for RVD, and the entire main event (including the entrances and pre-match run-ins) popped me the most. That and the crowd, which was almost as entertaining as the show itself, and 95% of their chants (the only ones that really pissed me off were at the beginning of Benoit/Guerrero when the crowd should have been giving them some respect)

Now there's a name I haven't seen in a while. Was he ever worth a damn in the NBA? He's still revered in most IU fan circles. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's been a pretty good role player for GS the last couple years, filling in when JR was injured, but there's no way he could live up to the second coming hype he got at Indiana. Indiana has to be one of the worst "big" schools at producing pros, Isiah Thomas is like the only success story. And if the Bulls wanted Peja they'd probably have to do a sign and trade with Chandler and throw in Nocioni as well. I doubt they'd want to give up that much. I'd like to see the Knicks make a run at Peja. Sacto can have Tim Thomas (expiring contract) and our lottery pick.

Gary Payton and Tyronn Lue are free agents.... But seriously, there's some decent guys out there they they might be able to get for a reasonable price. Dan Dickau might be a nice fit for them, he can shoot.

Guess Al's back in the rotation, huh?

Who are some of the larger guys he's worked well with? My TNA viewing has steadily decreased over the past year or so and I haven't seen much from Dutt other than a match with Kid Kash that I enjoyed. I kind of remember him doing some good stuff with Carl "X" Oulette but that's about it...

We could use it as a new "gulag" when they shut down Gitmo!

It would be sacrilage to trade Bernie at this point. He's probably going to retire anyway, letting him go out in pinstripes will please the baseball gods

Go get Brazoban. I just picked him up in a half dozen leagues when I heard the news

I can deal with a new park as long as the current YS is left standing. It's a piece of history and should remain intact. I feel the same way about Fenway and Wrigley. Hell, they could even convert it into a concert venue or something, just don't tear it down.

Dutt as his first opponent is an.......interesting choice, I guess....

Am I the only one getting asked if Kurt Angle was in my "WWE Fantasy"? It's like they read my mind. Bill Watts All-Stars: RAW: Batista John Cena Chris Masters SD: JBL Chris Benoit Bob Holly Heidenreich Matt Morgan

First we let the Red Sox win a world series, next we tear down the House That Ruth Built, and the final step is having Steinbrenner commited to an insane asylum

Exactly. But it seems like such a huge leap of faith to think Vince would give Heyman/Dreamer their own show as well as feeding them the best young North American talent, even if it's talent that he isn't willing to utilize properly. It's a scenario that's almost too good to be true, and I would think at some point his ego has to kick in and sabotage it. I would give him all the credit in the world if he's willing to create a viable, forward thinking alternative to his formulaic, stale product, risking damaging his baby in the process, but I'll believe it when I see it. -
I don't want to trade Sheff, I love the guy, and it won't happen, but if the deal was right I'd definitely consider it in the interest of getting younger and deeper. The big thing in the NY press now is retro-actively criticizing the Yankees for signing Sheff over Vlad, as well as second guessing the Yankees passing on Pedro and Beltran in favor of the, what, 30 million (?) combination of Johnson/Wright/Pavano. I definitely agree that the Yankees could have and should have gotten Guerrero and Pedro, they're exactly the kind of players we need, but to believe a few of the NY sportswriters this team should have A-Rod, Guerrero, Pedro, Beltran AND Johnson, nevermind the fact that those 5 guys alone would make more than most teams entire payrolls. Buying out Giambi might not be a bad idea, but I have this feeling that whatever team he ended up on he'd start hitting again. He definitely needs a change in scenery, but it would be nice to get something in return for him. The Yankees should go out and sign the Anti-Giambi, Alex Sanchez. Womack just doesn't cut it in the OF, he should be splitting time with Cano, and they need another option out there. We don't need three 2B's, so Sanchez is expendable, and Russ Johnson is just warming the bench.

I think people make too big of an issue out of May's height, he plays bigger than 6-8. I see him as a less explosive Elton Brand, a guy who's going to be good for a double double every night, and who can come in and start right away. His problems will come when he has to guard Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett, but who doesn't have problems with them? And as for the PGs role in the triangle, the offense is obviously running through Kobe, and all they need at the point is a Paxson/Fisher type who plays d and shoots well. That takes away from Felton's strengths. He was a guy who always had the ball in his hands at UNC, I'm not sure how he'd adapt to being Kobe's wingman, which is why I think they'd be better off cultivating those specific skills in a lower pick. If the Lakers are going to become a run n' gun squad it's a different story, but I'm not so sure that's going to happen. They can try it, but there will be other teams who can play that style better than them. I'm just not a Raymond Felton fan though, so I'm probably biased

Izturis passed up Nomar in the NL, but he's barely leading Eckstein. And how is Jimmy Rollins not in the top 5 but Rafael Furcal and his .220 avg and .610 ops is?!?!? And I still can't believe Tino is going to start in the all-star game
-
Patterson's still a prospect??! You can have Sheff, but you have to take Womack too, and we get Patterson, Dubois and Todd Walker
-
If I were the Lakers I'd be much more interested in Sean May than Felton. May can come in right away and make an impact on the boards with his size, hands and toughness, and he can vulture a ton of easy baskets from playing with Kobe. Phil will re-install the triangle, and from what I saw from Felton at UNC he wasn't the smartest or most under control point guard, and I don't think he's a good fit. Kobe can run the offense in the half-court, and they can probably find a decent PG like Nate Robinson or Jarrett Jack in the second round and bring him along slower. If they want to use their 1st rd pick on a PG I think Deron Williams would be the ideal guy, but they'd have to move up into the top 5 to get him. And back to the Knicks for a second, Bill Lambier has apparently had another interview with Isiah. I swear that Tuss is trying to kill whatever loyalty Knicks fans have left and I have a bad, bad feeling that hiring Lambier would blow up in his face. I might be wrong, but this ain't the WNBA, and his schtick isn't going to work on a guy like Marbury.

ECW on UPN?!? Are you insane? If they want an ECW show it has to be on cable. -
Good, now maybe the Knicks can FINALLY give Herb Williams the extension he deserves
-
No offense, but that team would be awful, especially in the West. They can do a lot better than subtracting Mobley, Peja and Thomas in favor of Mason, ~NAILON (quite possibly the most one dimensional player in the league), and f'n Joe Smith.

Sounds like the live audience got what they deserved from Eddie and Benoit, they probably just said fuck it when they realized the crowd was more interested in Edge and Lita. Sucks for the people at home who ordered to see a classic though.
