I like the foundation of Christian's works, he's solid, but to really take it to the next level I maintain that he needs to add a few high spots to his routine, some stuff off the ropes or lucha influenced. Every smaller guy who's flirted with a top spot has had that kind of stuff in their arsenal, Michaels, Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Angle, even Bret, and Christian is usually very grounded. He's a tall guy, but he's skinny as hell, his build is less impressive than that of shorter guys like Eddie and Benoit, who make up the size difference with their work. He takes great bumps in gimmick matches, but for a guy his size to make it on the top of the card he needs more high impact offensive moves for his TV matches, because while I like his work, if he's not clicking with his opponent his matches can come off as monotonous, which can be broken by placement of certain moves. To me, Christian doesn't have that aura of really being able to hang with the top guys in the ring, because his style is so basic, nothing he does sets him apart. I don't think being a good hand and a great interview is enough for him to move past being a high profile JTTS, and I'm not sure he can carry this momentum like everyone thinks he can. The prospect of a feud with John Cena, matchwise, doesn't get me excited at all, and I don't see enough substance there for the talking to get it over.

If you count Duncan, centers have won it 27 times. Forwards 12, and guards 10 counting Nash.

I'm thinking the Knicks make a play for Dalembert, I know they're going to go hard after Big Z. I like what Dalembert can do, but I'd like him better if he'd shown any sort of offensive consistency this year. And I seriously doubt 6mil per is enough, teams are desperate for size and that figure would definitely get outbid by some crazy GM.

Rickey Henderson thinks the Yankees should bring back Rickey Henderson. Rickey Henderson isn't joking. Rickey Henderson can add a lot to a team, a certain thing that only Rickey Henderson can provide. Rickey Henderson loves baseball, always has, always will. There are 30-year-old guys that are in worse shape than Rickey Henderson. Let me call Rickey Henderson to talk this over with Rickey Henderson. Rickey Henderson? Are you there? It's me! You! Rickey Henderson! AND THAAAT'S THE RICKEY HENDERSON BIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!! Holy shit, someone else knows that!

My thoughts exactly, but "Cute" in a, "awwww, they're sweetly retarded like that kid on Life Goes On," kind of way... -

Why wouldn't HHH be allowed to take part in the tournament? It's bad enough trying to make sense of the WWE's logic, don't go creating new logical gaps for them..... -

I HATE these fucking tournaments where everyone already knows who's going over. The fun of a tournament is not knowing the outcome. This is the same fucking thing they did with Cena-JBL on SD, advertised the PPV match and then booked backwards. ASSHOLES! -
Damon and his 1-4 (HR-SB) over Hunter and his 4-11? I don't know about all that....

Did HHH hit or strongly tease a pedigree? Since the buildup was entirely centered around that move, and Batista went over, logically he should have kicked out of it.

Corey Haim?

They're not playing well, for sure, but there's no reason to believe they can't turn it around. Lack of effort? The effort is there, the results just aren't coming, they're underachieving, it happens. Torre constantly shuffling the lineup hasn't helped either, IMO he needs to keep Womack-Jeter 1-2 w/ A-Rod in the 5 spot, Alex doesn't do well batting directly behind Jeter for some reason. Posada will be fine, and we knew coming in that the production from Bernie and Giambi would be a crapshoot. This is an old team, sometimes old teams need some time to get into the swing of things. One thing I will say is that the weaknesses we saw on paper before the season have definitely shown up on field, but that doesn't spell doom, things might just need a little tweaking. It would be nice to see them bring in the CF that Yankee fans were begging for in the off-season before the deadline, Bernie should be DHing a lot more than he does. I'm more worried about the pitching, though we're without Sturtze right now who was being counted on for a lot of middle relief innings, the lineup has too many productive players to not come around, but 7.5 games is NOTHING this early, and as inconsistent as the pitching has been, our staff is still better than Baltimore's, and IMO the equal or better of Boston's. If it's August and we're still 8 out, then I'll start to worry....

The beats have some potential, but they're not very original, or fully realized. Better than what some mainstream rappers have on their records? Probably, but mainstream rap is 90% garbage. For something released by the WWE I guess it's better than I had any right to expect, but still, it's a WWE rap record, just hollow product

Those two, and the one where Leela gets stung by a giant bee and goes into massive halucinations, incredibly moving stuff for a cartoon....

I don't care if people voted at a website, there's no way that's the worst episode they've ever done. Some of the recent stuff with the mentioned flaws (globe-trotting for no reason, over compenstation with pop culture references) are pretty much unwatchable. Buck McCoy at least followed the classic Simpsons formula and produced some funny lines and situations. I do hate Bart being chased by the dog though, the set-up could have been a lot better....

I had no idea that Rick Rubin was involved in wrestling at one point. Anyway, thanks for posting this. It was a great read. Ditto. I've long been an admirer and fan of Rubin, but that one's news to me! Thanks for posting this, great stuff.

That would be really classy, I hope they're able to do something like that.
