Since I pretty much just stick to the sports folder and RAW threads and stay away from all the general board chatter and feuds and whatnot I haven't got a clue about most of this. I'm not even sure if Leena is an actual person or an elaborate gimmick, but I'll go under the assumption that she is real for now and guess I have a couple of questions for her... 1. When did you go from a regular poster talking about Alex Rodriguez and tennis and become some sort of hated TSM super villain? All these people constantly talk about you and argue about you and I have no idea why. What caused all this drama? 2. Wasn't there a place called "The Pit" that split off from here where you and a bunch of other dissatisfied TSMers posted? What happened to that? and this is more of a general question... 3. If all these people hate Leena so much that they're starting their own board, why didn't they just pool some money and buy the board themselves? And what is up with this place changing ownership so often? I've never seen this kind of thing happen at any other forum. I feel like this is all some giant work that's going over my head, which is ok if it is because I really don't care one way or the other, the whole thing is just confusing

I like it, great move by Girardi.
-
So if a rusher gets knocked down he can't make a grab at the QB's legs? That's a terrible rule.
-
I missed the Jericho/Flair open, can someone give me a quick recap?
-
9-4, nice fielding by Adam Dunn
-
Actually, we should be ripping Davey Johnson as much as Jeter, because we all knew at the start of the game that wasting Rollins at DH would come back to bite him in the ass. 8-4 now, it's not looking good
-
God dammit Jeter. Bash away Al

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Listening to this discussion about the USA pitchers, maybe they should put some college pitchers on the roster next time? And on cue Morgan suggests the same thing, though he said minor leaguers. Problem with that is they'd run into the same issues with the major league clubs.
-
Why is Johnson starting Jeter at SS and Rollins at DH? Not wise. BRIAN ROBERTS LEADOFF BOMB! 1-0 USA!!!

Yeah, there's definitely some flaws in the double elimination process, but Cuba would have run into Japan again at some point. I don't know which of those 3 teams I'd rather play first. The US will get to add some more replacement players, right?
-
NBC would have forced injured players to suit up? Karc is hilarious..... ly retarded

But there IS an incentive to winning your division--you still get to go to the playoffs and have a chance to get to the Super Bowl. If you can manage to sell a few division championship t-shirts to some drooling idiots along the way, kudos! You're telling me it's fair that the Colts go 12-4--a great season that included a win over the Chargers--yet have to travel to play the 8-8 Chargers in a wild card game--who barely qualified for the playoffs--just because the Colts happened to be divisionally aligned with the incredible 14-2 Titans and the Chargers' thorough mediocrity was rewarded only by their division mates' total incompetence? That's more unfair than the OT rules. Is it any more fair that the Patriots went 11-5 and missed the playoffs? If an 8-8 division winner has to take backseat to a 12-4 wildcard why shouldn't they take a backseat to a team that won 3 more games than them and not go to the playoffs at all? Why should a division winner automatically go the playoffs?

I watched it on mlb.tv. Are you blacked out or something? It wanted me to buy a subscription, which I may or may not actually do for this coming season, I haven't decided yet. Did I miss an obvious bypass of that? Oh yeah, WE WON! Huge sigh of relief, and I'm psyched because I really want to see us play Japan and Cuba.

I'm pissed that I can't watch this game. Stupid mlbtv

Forget the people who claim the WBC doesn't matter, I think it's fucking embarrassing that we were eliminated early in the first one and if this score holds up and we're out early again it's a huge disappointment to me. Baseball is an American game, we should be winning this tournament every year or at least making it further than we have been, and I really don't know what to say to people who don't buy into the national pride aspect of it. The players and fans of all these other countries sure as hell care, I'm pretty sure Davey Johnson and his players care, so why shouldn't American baseball fans care? As far as the injury thing goes, these are grown ass men, professional athletes, frankly the whole idea that everyone involved in this thing is at a greater risk of injury is insulting to them as men and just kind of asinine in general. Any player worth his MLB contract should be keeping himself in top shape in the offseason, and none of them should be so far removed from baseball related drills that getting back into it causes an elevated risk of injury. This whole notion is retarded.

JBL-Mysterio @ Mania, sweet. Mysterio will make a nice IC champ, and they can swap him and Shelton in the draft.

They need to give Legacy their own theme after Wrestlemania, this song is terrible

MMOD was AWESOME last year, I watched more games on that than I did on TV. If you have a good connection the quality will be top notch. I do seem to remember an occasional "Would you like to continue watching this game?" thing popping up, but it wasn't too frequent.

I'm shocked that Davidson didn't make it. I was of the school of thought that the committee would do whatever it took to justify getting Curry into the tournament. Oh well, good for the NIT I guess!

The Cuban pitchers throw a lot of balls and the Japanese hitters are very patient and methodical. Put that together with Dice-K being on his game and you've got a 5-0 stifling by Japan.
-
lol, wow, I've seen better outfielding in babe ruth games
-
If anyone is in need of a second baseman I would consider offers for Brandon Phillips
-
Less impressive when you consider that Kim Jong-Il once shot a 38 under par and bowled a perfect game. He's probably got a 104 mile per hour heater and a devastating breaking ball, we just don't know about it yet

Chris Duncan, OF/1B, Cardinals He's killing the ball in spring training and looks like he might beat out the struggling Colby Rasmus for a starting spot in the outfield. I need him for the 1B eligibility though.
