Actually if the new ECW does shoot style worked matches (not sure why you think this is gonna happen) I could see it hurting MMA. Watch a match like Low Ki vs American Dragon where MMA spots are worked in perfectly and it can be more entertaining then a lot of MMA fights.

That would explain why both arms were covered.

I wonder if ECW will come into play? Like if RVD were to win the title at the ECW PPV does it count? Or if RAW/Smackdown guys show up on ECW's show.

If anything, people who actually watched Samoa Joe before this hypothetical WWE Run, would be horrified at what Vince had done to him, and would be hoping that he would purposely do something to get fired. Umaga has yet to even show he can work a good match and people want to compare him to Samoa Joe? I mean really, if this is Vince's best attempt at ripping off Samoa Joe, then he is in desperate need for a better creative writing team. Without the savage look, if Joe squashed people exactly the same as Umaga has so far, it's hardly different then how Joe started out in TNA. I realize Umaga isn't going to have ROH like classics that Joe's has, but if this is how Joe debuted people would like it. For awhile at least.

I think Umaga is they're attempt at Samoa Joe, And to be honest if Joe signed with them and did everything Umaga has done(sans facepaint) everyone would probably think it was the greatest thing ever. I think the Spirit Squad is great, and one of the most entertaining things they've done in awhile.

I'm shocked Hawk 34 didn't mention.... 1. One of the Spirit Squad members yelling at the ref "I got till five" ala Danielson. 2. Matt Striker using the face wash ala Joe. For someone who sneaks a ROH mention into nearly every thread he post in. I'm a bit dissapointed.

Until you go to "Regions" and MMA is just destroying pro wreslting down the line. But if you shorten it to "pro wrestling" it's not even close. I'd imagine more people would search "mma" but that doesn't limit it to "mixed martial arts"

I'd find it hard to be entertained by RAW too, if I spent Monday Nights on this board, trying to come up with something witty every other minute during the show. But hey it makes for an entertaining read Tuesday morning.

I thought I was gonna hate Umaga, but thus far he's been kinda entertaining. He hasn't sucked it in the ring like people said he would. I don't know really where they can go with the guy, because I don't see him main eventing. My guess is they keep him looking unbeatable until someone like Carlito beats him and gets elevated. A Carlito vs Umaga feud for say the I.C. title sounds bad on paper, but I think it can be entertaining.

They probably pretend like some network executive at UPN or USA liked the ppv so much they gave them a timeslot. Or that the ECW guys liked working the ppv so much their quitting and joining ECW, which Paul Heyman some how aquires the rights to.

If anything it adds a little bit to watching the shows. Like if you didn't have Kane on your roster, you wouldn't care that much if he chokeslammed all of the spirit squad. But if he was you'd be thinking hell yeah.

A Cruiser/Light weight best of would be great. WWE could capitalize on this and probably make some money. If they would stop ignoring them all together.
