Sure, if you want to replace a guy who's at the stage in his career where he should be trying to learn more about the buisness with another.

Why is Indy Wrestling So Much Better Than WWE?
Copper Feel replied to natey2k4's topic in General Wrestling
I think that the main reason some people prefer the indys to wwe, is that it gives them a chance to rebel against a much biger promotion. By killing themselves infront of a few hundred people, indy wrestlers reach out to fans who are sick of a less is more ringstyle. You get the idea that if roh got a national pay per view deal, their product would seem less influential, kinda like ECW from 1997 on. -
why, was austin overated? and id like a better argument then "he was" this time.
-
yes! this was the guy who looked just like eugene.
-
i know there was a wcw wrestler, who looked exactly like eugene. but i cant quite think of his name at the moment. edit: oh i just realised, you weren't saying the interviewer looked like eugene ........

old stars are one of the only things, that consistently draws big crowds on the indy circuit.

Name wrestlers and their greatest opponents

what really pissed me off about it, was the way they reversed both holds so easily, and then showed no lasting effects of the holds. for a match that was supposedly 2003 match of the year it was unbelievably spotty. -
WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Copper Feel replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
i remember, the first ever wrestling match i saw which got me hooked on wrestling. it was on wcw in 2000 and there was about ten wrestlers, fighting backstage i think that booker t and scott stiener were involved. i think jeff jarrett interfiered and scott steiner pinned one of the wrestlers, but booker then pinned stiener to win the hardcore title. can anyone clarify this? -

did it make sense, that benoit and angle made no effort to, stop the upcomin revarsal? does it, make sense, to, type like, this If it's a reversal they have no experience with, they wouldn't know how to reverse it. id imagine that after the 2500th reversal, benoit and angle would know how to counter it. Once more, in case you missed it: If it's a reversal they have no experience with, they wouldn't know how to reverse it. and once again if you missed it: by the 2500 reversal they did have experience with it! Then I guess you don't grasp the concept of them coming up with new reversals. which they didnt, they just went through the same i grab your ankle, you grab my arm sequence over and over again. Not really. Have you ever done any real mat grappling? There are weak points to every hold and you really can't do much to block some of those weak points without compromising the hold itself. So guess what? They had the answer to each other, they knew how to get to each other. The match ended when Kurt busted out something he hadn't used before and (I don't believe) has used since. eventully thenthey should have worked out, that the other man was going to reverse the hold, and stopped triying for their finishing holds. -

If a move misses, and people can see it missed, selling the move is unrealistic, because people know the move didn't hit. It makes sense for the move to be no-sold, because to do so shatters the illusion of reality. it dosent sound like nagata sold the lonterm effects, of tenyrus not blown offense. Watch the match in question, and you might find out that he did. do you know a site i can download it from?

not getting submissions, was not what devalued the holds. what devalued the holds, was the way angle and benoit reversed them so easily. They'd wrestled each other so often, it only made sense that they had figured out how to get out of the hold. did it make sense, that benoit and angle made no effort to, stop the upcomin revarsal? -

Not really. The Angleslam was already dead as a finisher by then, and Benoit tapping clean to the heel hook anklelock at the Rumble didn't exactly hurt that hold. The crossface wasn't affected either. what i was refering to, was there massiveley contrived, ankle lock crippler crossface reversal sequence. it totally devalued both holds. -
i dont generaly think pro wrestling needs to be super realistic, but you were arguing that no selling poorly executed moves, adds realism, when in reality it dosent as the pain from the earlier offense, should still exist.
