That Punk/Joe series, what year was that, last year? I'm trying to get those shows, which were they?
-
I've got a minute left people, are you happy with your choices??? *EDIT* I bought it...
-
so the repeat is on at 11, is it worth the cost of admission?
-
So after three months he can go to TNA, right?
-
That REALLY makes a mockery of their whole "1 million dollar" prize...
-
I'm trying to figure out of that first post was a joke or not.
-
Why do you even HAVE a language if you're going to do such things to it?
-
I never should have opened my mouth, so to speak...

Terps up 24-14

I'm going to go out on a limb and agree with Tack that anyone who had the means to move easily on their own power should have gotten out and WALKED. You can get very very far on foot in two days, certainly far enough to get to another city that's above sea level. Now, on the other hand, and this is signifigant, if someone told me that I ahd to leave maryland in two days and go somewhere else, I wouldn't know WHERE to go. But uphill would have been a good idea for them. UPSTAIRS, to answer a previous (silly) comment, was not good enough. Obviously.

The in ring product is totally embarrasing. I really can't stand the shitty strikes, crappy suplexes, and lack of anything resembling an effective move. I'm not asking for constant head bumps. But they should EXIST.
-
I just hate the obvious WWE green talent. The difference between an incoming Paul London and an incoming Bautista is just so obvious. One of them has an actual moveset. Ditto for promo abilities. I just find that when people work indys they tend to pick up more than those who work just OVW.
-
the freakout was the highlight of the match. Thats... not a good thing. And whats with the crappy finishers.
-
pushing new talent only works if they're any good to begin with. not JUST huge. Vince needs to realize this.
-
I hated RAW tonight. I thought that the Cade and (especially) Murdoch team looked really lost out there. Maybe it's all the lights, but I don't care how good they were in OVW, those irish whips were UGLY. Super double ditto that womens match. Someone tell these people that speed is a large part of what makes a wrestling match exciting. Shawn broke the masterlock by cheating, and JR gets all upset at Masters. Guess what, if some asshole kicked me in the balls, a steel chair would be the least of his problems. And I plain just don't like Cena. As far as I'm concerned, TNA can't get a deal quickly enough.
-
So like, Wedding Crashers seems to have done well...
-
it just goes to show that the people telling the announcers what to do only care about a couple of stars, and the rest take up space.
-
Cena IS a wigger. I'm not saying he's trying to act 'black' because 'black' isn't a way. But he's trying to act like a ghetto thug who speaks badly and so on and so on. White people have a word for people like that. It's wigger. ... Anyways, I would say that NO authorities fucked up before and during the hurricane, and national authorities fucked up afterwards. There should be no reason why people couldn't have been taken out of there after the storm was over. At least not for DAYS.

There are repeated accounts of people shooting at other people in NO, and that is causing people to become reluctant to go in and help. This is fact one. The military is going to go in and kill anyone doing said shooting. This is fact two. Kanye west said they are going in to shoot "us." This is fact three. Yes, the majority of people who will eventually get shot will be black. This is inevitable because of who is left in the city. But, also, the majority of the people helped by these fuckwads getting shot will be BLACK ALSO, for the SAME REASON. So, maybe, just maybe, Kanye could have said (though it would have been as nonsensical) that they are going in to SAVE US.
-
Who FUCKING CARES!? Do blacks get "discrimination points" because whitey oppressed them at one point? Do whites lose points because they were the ones doing so? Fuck that noise. I never oppressed anyone. My dad didn't, and my mom didn't. Black cultures association with negative things simply because they're done by blacks is stupid. I don't call serial killers "our people" even though they're white. Because they are NOT the same as me. Kanye shouldn't be associating himself with anyone worth shooting in NO.
-
It was probably in reference to the fact that they are going to shoot at the people who are shooting at the rescuers. Who are, given the pre-disaster make up NO, probably black. So, Kanye seems to be mad that they're going to shoot black people. Nevermind that these black people are causing people to die DIRECTLY.

I want people to admit that if any white person tried to ask for help for another white person because they were WHITE they would be called racist for saying so. Any cracker who utters the phrase, "we need to help our people" is just fucked. I mean christ almighty, what if Bush had said that?
-
This event itself nonwithstanding, this hurricane has caused some people to utter some of the most asinine things I have EVER heard. Not even just on this board. People everywhere, whether they don't want to help people because it would make Bush look bad, or they think that poor people don't actually HAVE much, so it should be EASY to up and leave, some of the quotes I've read have been appalling. This whole search for blame is either 1) a desire to punish someone out of simple grief and fear and whatnot or 2) a desire to further one's self over someone elses losses due to these events. I dunno which is more prevalent. But I do know one thing: this blame game isn't helping a god damn person. MAYBE, once this is all over, and the streets are drained, and the incident is fully understood, knowing HOW it happened can help us prevent such an event in the future. But, now, all this bickering is at worst divisive and at best worthless. Talk about something else. We obviously don't have all the answers if we can't easily find the truth. The people who can help, help, and the people who cannot help, try to find something more to do than saying this is all Bush's fault or all the Mayors fault.

what strikes me is that WWE commentators are less about the in ring and more about telling the viewers what they're supposed to think about the characters, both in and out of the ring. Instead of talking about moves and whatnot, they're just calling people bullies or blue chippers. Instead of talking about the current event, they're obsessed with the Diva search.

Shawn gets to beat up two guys in a match, and won't even lie down to superior numbers? God, he complains about Hogan's ego......
