Two things: 1) I've seen a lot of punk matches and I don't recall ever seeing the Pepsi Plunge. That means he's fully able to win a match without using that. And, do it convincingly. 2) That HHH does a pedigree also could be the makings of an interesting "fued/partnership". I'm not talking a wrestling fued, just a sort of "well at least I don't have to jump from six feet in the air to put someone away" "well at least I can" type bickering. HHH's spot is in not jeapordy. actually, how does Punk set up the move?

Yeah, ask London how much of his skills he gets to showcase. I know that there's more to wrestling than highspots. But it's what London does. It's not like they're avoiding injuries anyways.

It's a mystery why anyone like Punk for example, anyone with any sort of love for the business, would sign for a company like this. A company which clearly has far less love for the business of "wrestling" than they do. If this is true, then there's no reason for me to pick back up my Raw or SD! watching habits. Hasn't anyone told Vince that variety is the spice of life? A show with only one trick isn't going to fill two hours very well at all.

I have heard that there is road technology out there to make roads that can take more than one winter without developing potholes. But the prices per mile of that kind of road is a lot more than the current stuff they're putting down. I wonder how many people in American, if asked directly, would be in favor of much more expense to make roadwork a much rarer thing...

From someone who was there, from what I remember. (btw I was sitting next to Rando) Rando actually got up for a soda and missed Masters/Hurricane. Not that he missed much. Benoit/Jones was a dud of course, but at least Benoit won... The crowd loved it, but come on... Hardy/Edge was the same way. The crowd hated the ending. Eugene/Angle, well, Angle was just super duper over. People just booed every single thing Eugene did, especially the stunner attempts and the rockbottom. I suppose everything he did wasn't liked. I totally totally marked out for the award presentation. there were calls for "break his ankle!" like people expected Eugene to get the Pillman treatment, but when he tossed Eugene out, and stood on the chair, it made my day. Fuck Eugene, he doesn't deserve to be in the spotlight. Go Angle! Rey/Eddie was a mixed bag. The wrong man went over IMO. And it made Rey look REALLY bad that he couldn't beat Eddie without all this blatent interference. Then the briefcase shot at the end, I dunno where they're going with this... But I can't have been the only person looking for a frogsplash to Rey's kid... Cena/Jericho was definitely match of the night for ME, because me, Rando, and between 1/3 and 1/2 of the arena was absolutely cheering Jericho on. I really found myself marking out during this one, because even Jericho started to hear his name, loud and clear. Cena was super over, but so was Jericho. I just hope this show gives them another look at Y2J... JBL/Bautista was an interesting contrast to the previous match, whereas Jericho had many fans, EVERYONE in the D.C. area loves Bautista. This match wasn't very good live, considering all the time spend in the seats. No blood, no real table spots or anything. It was little better from a squash, from what I saw. But the crowd loved the 2nd powerbomb, everyone around us was shouting "Use the stairs! Use the stairs!" Bloodthirsty... Despite what MJ Styles said, HBK/Hogan did have SOME mixed reactions. Not loud contesting chants like the "Lets go Cena! Lets go Jericho!" of that match, but certainly SOME people were going H-B-K! Not to mention my favorite chants of the night: during the sleeper spot, some of the fans were chanting "Go to sleep!" and then just "Die! Die! Die!" But I'm sure the few people hoping for a DX reunion didn't show up on TV. It wasn't a very good match, but the spectacle of a bloodied Hogan was pretty memorable. All in all not a great show, but it was my first, so it wasn't that bad. Makes me want to catch a smaller show if they ever come through... actually I forgot the UT/Orton match. We in the crowd loved the UT entrance, went apeshit when we thought we were going to see Randy hit a tombstone, and had absolutely no idea who the 'fan' was who interrupted.

I have to admit, where comedy is concerned, I always *LOVED* it when wrestlers acted silly-stupid, but funny stupid. Think Edge and Christian. Think Mick Foley with them, (Sodas! Edge Cola!) Think Kurt Angle in a hat, think Gold Dust as a Croc Hunter, think "Yippie Ki Yay Mother Hubbard!" I've also always enjoyed Punk and Cabana's interactions backstage at ROH shows. But the gross-out humor needs to stop. I didn't like Dreamer eating hair, I don't like that mole thing, at all, I didn't even like Socko.

I used to care about people trying to take away my mortal kombat when I was like, what 15? This is no longer the case. I'm 23. You say kids will remember, but once you hit 18, it's hard to remember what 17 was like, let alone 15.

B A N, B A N A N A S~! I can't believe anyone likes this song. Neither Gwen Stefani or No Doubt should have made anything after that song from the "Go" soundtrack.

I would just like to say that I saw that "Helena" video. I would also like to say that everything that is wrong about that video, is everything that is wrong with that whole ... sound. Which is becoming everything that is wrong about so called rock. I'd say that I've seen half to one third of these videos, none of them good. MTV has always pushed the boundries of suck in my head, but when J.Cash lost to Missy Elliot, that's when I stopped caring. Long overdue, I know, but it was just so clear. Anyone who is under the impression that MTV2 plays videos needs to watch more TV. Or perhaps is on the right path. Either way, as a previous poster said, ever since the superbowl, when that two headed dog thing appeared during halftime, it's been all about the Sunday Night Stew shows on MTV2. All Wondershowzen, Andy M. show, Wildboys and other shows like that. Suffice to say, it's no longer watched. And I would like to raise another point: What is it about "music TV" that makes it such an unmarketable product? All the "music" channels, like MTV, VH1, and MTV2 have voluntarily removed 90% of the music from their lineups. Music Videos can't be THAT unproductive, I can't imagine them costing less than a bunch of new shows every few months. What's going on? It was a bit before I got cable, but MTV used to be THE THING to watch. What happened?

I hope people realize that it wasn't planned by WWE, it was a crazy storm around here last night.... The storm was a shoot!

The mercury in fish gets worse the bigger the fish is (unless you're talking about a plant eater like a whale) because mercury is concentrated the higher you go in the food chain. For example, "Light" tuna is better for you, mercury wise, than "albacore" because the fish are a lot smaller. Ergo, they've eaten less and smaller fish, ergo less mecury.

Jobber: You've got to pick your chuch on something. And, I think, the reason MY chuch has to get involved in politics, is that SOOOOO many other churches get involved in politics as well, and we (at least I) hate it when people quote "christian's" opinions. We are christians who don't believe the bible says a lot of the things a lot of people say it does. I imagine that our services wouldn't seem THAT different than most other churches, with sermons, songs, doxology, Lords Prayer, call/response, etc. but maybe the tone of the sermon would be occasionally about slightly more liberal issues than in some other churches. Like I said previously, if you're curious, my church posts the weekly sermon online... And we don't have to wait to have gay marriages, just state recognized ones. We've had gay religious weddings for as long as I can remember. Some people care more about God than a government license.

That Spanky/London vs. Kanyon/Moore is rediculously good. Le sigh. Good luck finding anything like that on TV today. But then again, I would have said that last year and the year before. Velocity is a drawbag, usually at least one good match a month, say, but who's got the time on Saturday nights?

I know to dominican girls and theyre smoking. I'm sorry if you're only exporting the quality (sike) Let me say, however, this is not me saying that 'Rican women aren't hot TOO.

The bolded section I thought was interesting because, while every word is technically true, it could be read as meaning "It's a long term issue (so we don't have to act right away) that effects the entire globe (so we refuse to act until China acts too)." Which I think is the entire point. Anyone who cares about the environment and is any sort of republican ought to be ashamed...

Marvin, temperatures fluctuate all the time. We're not talking dramatic 2 or 5 degree increases, we're talking overall one degree over a decade or more. But that extra heat all over the world will have large overall effects. And guys, again, call our claims junk science, but at least we have scientists saying it. Not only can you name call, but you can't bring up as many or even half as many credible scientists. Oil companies, right wing think tanks, and Bush cronies don't count, thanks. When the scientific world is on MY side, you're the ones with the burden of proof.

Romney Strikes Back: Gay marriage ban
EricMM replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
it's a conservative position, but if it's his only one I suppose he could still be seen as moderate. -
How much did Kung-Fu Hustle cost to film? I hope it breaks even, it was something different. Note that I haven't seen it yet, but I have plans to. It made more money with Asian releases, correct?

Is this trash too? Because I'd love to see any sort of non-partisan news source show once and for all that Global Warming is false/impossible. You know, like this non-partisan, at least for all intents and purposes, newspaper reporting science PROVING that Earth is retaining too much energy from the sun.

What Maniac said. I'm against the death penalty. But I'm not pro-prisoner. Make them work hard the rest of their lives until they die. Make them service society by doing the worst of the worst. Keep them in fetters until the last day of their miserable lives.
