Mike, there's a huge difference between saying someone "deserves" to be shot and that someone is "fun" to shoot. Surely you can see the difference here. Surely you can see how if someone is looking for evidence of innocents being shot at and other problems, someone saying he enjoys killing Afghanis would fuel the fire?

But I know that most Europeans haven't taken American courses, and all they see is a president who goes gung-ho into the Middle East, for better or worse, without acknowledging the U.S.'s absolute fuck-ups that occured there in the past. Bush would make a lot of liberals happy if he gave a half hour speech in which he described why his family and our country supported Bin Ladin, Saddam, et al in the past. We want there to be an acknowledgement of fault. We feel that there is blame. Personally, I don't care what Bush does, inasmuch as practically nothing he will do will make me like him or his. Certainly there is a long list of things that he could do starting w/ his new term that would turn me into a full fledged Republican. If Bush does everything right, no one will criticize him. No one. But he will not. He has chosen (CHOSEN) to do so many things wrong. If the past four years are any indication, he will continue to do so.

I don't believe that there is enough "difference" between men and women, Thai and Chinese, or anything else to make a person less or more qualified for science. I think the differences are 100% sociological. In America, most women are raised differently than most men are. More emphasis is placed upon a doctorate in certain cultures than others. I think that if you raised two infants in a sociological vacuum, be them people from ANY walk of life on this earth, from day one, one could expect them to be equally qualified scientists. I dunno why this harvard guy seems desperate to discount society.

I wouldnt' say they cause the most accidents, but if one is in one, one is more likely to cause a fatality. They DO use the most gasoline, well them and small trucks. And I don't particularly worry about how much money you spend at the pump, I worry about how much gas you use. The supply won't last forever, just wait. They're also so heavy that they cause more roadway damage. Like potholes et all. Repair budgets have gone up since they became so popular. And they're deceptive. There are new Hybrid SUV's coming out. I can't really judge them yet, but I can tell you about the new hybrid truck. It gets the same milage in the country, and only two more miles per gallon in the city. It's a sham. THAT is a waste. People will just buy them for the HOV pass. It's going to ruin the hybrid movement.

Even if they're not digitizing her voice in studio (which I just suppose) she CAN'T reproduce that sound live, whether because she can't do it and dance, or just because she's not that talented, she's not a singer. She IS a DANCER.

I think part of the problem is that now, actually especially a few years ago, but still now, shows mostly revolved around the main eventers, and ONLY the main eventers, specifically world title holders/contenders and their friends. The world title was the main event for every show. It still is. I think it's a bit much.

AAAAARGH!!! Can we all stop arguing about this PLEASE? Some media (Not NEWS, M-E-D-I-A, which can include commentators) is liberally slanted. Obviously. I can think of the Daily Show for one. Some media is slanted Conservatively. O'Reilly is a self-professed conservative. Do either one of them take party marching orders? Probably not. But they feel one way about issues, for example, gay marriage. They disagree it comes out in their comments. This is prevalent and pervasive in ALL media. Every journalist, editor, AND reader adds their slant to every story shown. It's why SOME people call Fox News "fair" and SOME call it "conservative" God it's so endless. Yes, there is liberal media. We all appreciate this fact. But obviously if all media was as liberal as well, most "Liberals" they would be dissing Bush as often as most "Liberals" which is ALL THE TIME. We don't like the man, and we scoff at most of his policies. Most of the news media doesn't do that. Just because it doesn't call medicore, or average plans successful, doesn't mean it's wrong. Just because it doesn't bemoan successes, doesn't mean it's wrong.

I totally agree that whites put Blacks in a bad place for centuries, then sought to keep them there. But let us not forget that it was whites who freed the slaves too. It wasn't blacks, it wasn't because of any resistance. It was because many, many white people saw slavery and racism in general as the affront to humanity that they are. I can only speak for myself. But I am so glad for MLK for creating a world where I go to school, and eat with, and sit with, people with more skin pigment than I do. How people fifty years ago could ostracize people like that, I just don't understand. It's a total disconnect with me. What the fuck where they thinking? When almost everything about everyone that is human makes us practically the same, why focus on those insignifigant details that make us different?

If she were a talanted singer, (even remotely) she would be able to sing live. She does not, so I assume she cannot. Its a little jarring to me when I realize that todays musicians are picked for their dancing instead of their singing. It makes me wonder why dancing itself isn't more focused upon as a profession. Why try to make these people sing? As far as Ashlee, yea lip synching is and always has been big in UK. But, with the advent of computerization/whatnot of vocals, now are people not only not singing live, but they're lip synching to sounds they cannot actually MAKE. This is where I draw the line. Don't pretend to sing it if you CAN'T.

Just as an aside, whether or not it's because of content or time or what have you, when Fox recently aired two Family Guy eps, I KNOW they cut out one scene for sure. This was the Real World episode. They didn't mention Meg moving to Quagmire's house, or show her walking in on him.
