If other countries feel like Bush's America has too much influence over world politics, then they should get off their butts and try and get to where America is. There's no fucking way anyone from another country should be able to decide who leads another country. And if you think Bush did exactly that towards Iraq or whatever, then fine, try and argue that. Try and argue that Bush is as much a threat towards something (safety, peace, whatever) but DON'T try and act like just because we're America, and the most important and influential country in the world we have to give some of our autonomy away.
-
Yes, but I argue that there seems to be no continuity on heat either, so why have the unover heels win???
-
You could argue that the U.S. has no real ah need or use for the U.N. because well, the U.N. is, at heart, IIRC, a body designed to prevent World Wars and other kinds of strife. Who the FUCK is going to go against America with their military? I can see other countries in the world being on equal footing, but the U.S. has no military equals. There's just no reason to attack the U.S., it's unprofitable to anyone who COULD damage us. I think. Anyways, the only think I think the U.N. could have helped out with was enabling Kyoto Protocols and similar global initiatives. But these things just never work out. If anyone is going to fix their pollution, it's going to be because they want to, not because they have to. As far as "world policing" the U.N. hasn't IIRC done very well in a LONG ASS time...

Whats the point with any of this Stevie Richards stuff? I love how he got over with the crowd, how he seems to do the same everytime he gets a chance to do ANYTHING, but he just perennially loses to people who will NEVER be over.

The Green Party was at least one party. Now Nader isn't even affiliated with them. I doubt he'll get 5%.

Don't fucking blame hippies for low-carb shit. Soy and Granola, soy and granola. Its those fat-ass 50-something yuppies seeking a sixpack while dodging movement or exertion that are avoiding any and all carbs.

What about the fact that Bush has given everyone a million reasons NOT to vote for him?
-
If Bush hasn't fucked up enough to put Kerry in office by now, with or without Nader, well I'll be shocked. There was a time when I felt Bush would defacto win, but that was years ago. He has done nothing effective or postive since then. If I'm wrong, well, then we'll get another four years. And just remember what happened less than a year after Bush was elected. Nothing but bad press. 9/11 ended that, and the Iraq war proper was also good for him. But I can't imagine what his approval ratings would be after another two years. I'm all for 3rd parties, and I'll most likely vote Green this term, but I also support Nader. To me, if Kerry's oratory or policy isn't up to beating Bush and Cobb and Nader and whomever else is running, then well, so be it. I do not want another term of Bush. But if Kerry wants the Green/Indy votes, either run those policies. Don't try and force people to vote for something they don't agree with.
-
This just makes the Dems look so bad. SO bad.
-
Seriously. Anyone who is going to bitch about Bush being in the war ought to be voting Green or Reform, NOT Kerry.

And as we see in Iraq, Jesse, Tanks are SO good at oppressing a population. You can only raze so many cities before becoming a really weak dictator...

If there was a corrupt military take-over, an AK47 would be a lot better than some Saturday nigh special. But hey, how likely IS that?
-
Cerebus you're looney, If we feel that the Iraq war is wrong, then we'd definitely want the troops home RIGHT NOW, so they could not get shot up. Dar. And that IS supporting the troops, not necessarily as "troops" but as "people."

My co-worker was super duper hyped about this, she read all the IGN previews and was imagining being able to have everyone want to look like her, and compete with other heros, and lots of other stuff they promised. Now it seems they took it out. Now she'll probably be somewhat dissapointed, I keep telling her if you want to be able to do ANYTHING, get MORROWIND! Whatever.

I don't really care about polls in this case, becase like people've said, they're all pretty meaningless. I do agree with Jon Stewart off the Daily Show, when he comments on the fact that Bush has been parroting about what he will do and what he will do, but not what he DID do. Because IMO America hasn't improved since 2000, and that's at least partially Bush's fault.

If he's caught in October and/or November, of course people are going to call shenannigans. We've been looking for him for three years and we just happen to find him when a new election comes around? Coincidence or not, it doesn't look good. The pure and honest truth would still look like crap in those circumstances.

Stop saying Chapelle created LJ. Chapelle introduced LJ to a bunch of white people watching Chapelle, but LJ was already over on things like Hiphop/RnB radio stations et al.

Both four and five are too honkin big to sit through. I dunno if they'll enact intermissions in this day and age, but come on. I just saw 3 last night in fact, and it was a MESS. Fun movie, but half the book was scrapped. The books just get longer....

anyone who is looking to support two gay men's right to chose (who to marry) better Vote Cobb!
