Rolling Stone obtains copies of report on abuses..
EricMM replied to jesse_ewiak's topic in Current Events
I understand that the guards getting punished is established and right and ok. I don't like, and want to finish discussing, how people like you can be like, "I don't care that these atrocities happened. It wasn't wrong." -
Then argue that Kerry doesn't fight for the poor. Don't argue that he's rich, or that his wife's rich. We KNOW.

How about being punished in an illegal fashion? How about you NOT change the subject? How about Kerry's actions have NOTHING to do with this Rolling Stone article? -
Just because you're rich doesn't mean you can fight for poor people. Hey, here's a clue, a poor person will NEVER become president. It's expensive

And that is WHY the Abu Greib story isn't news, but the current attitude of people like Mike IS persistant news. Mmmm apathy towards people. Always a classic. -

I care more about Mikes response than any news in the article (or in this case, olds) -

Mike in this instance it would probably be better to say nothing than to say "I don't care." I would guess that everyone agrees that what happened at Abu Graib wasn't right. -
Did you read the part where it said that poor people would get EIC like credit to get a rebate? Did you read the part where it said that the loopholes in the current system MIGHT be closed? Is that not helpful?

I guess you could call them the Red Green party... But that'd be doing a grave disservice to a certain PBS comedian we all know and love. And yet, even if I disagree with a lot of their policies, they're STILL the most correct ones out there. They STILL are the ones talking about issues that I care about.

Christ UndertakerHeart how do you watch football games? Why do all things have to be quick. I have ADD and I've got the attention span to watch a forty minute match. Maybe you just don't care about workrate. But you know what? Most people would if they were taught to.

here here! oh wait... Nudity is so NOT a problem. I can understand why Ashey might be against everything from drug use to violence to sex (maybe). But nudity, especially partial/soft is ... not dangerous.

Did anyone else happen to catch this show? I never actually watched much FX, but I happened to catch this show. I never caught Nip/Tuck because I'm so NOT into surgery. But this show was pretty good. I just never knew how far the language envelope has been pushed on TV shows these days. But all that aside, I thought it was a pretty good show.

I didn't SAY he wanted oil prices high, in fact, I specifically said he DIDN'T control the oil prices. Jeez.
-
Exactly.
-
No one says Bush dictates price, or anything like that. I think, and I think I'm right, that Bush's policies have created opportunities for Big Oil to do far better than Big Oil WOULD have done if Bush's policies had favored someone else (anyone else). Who should Bush be favoring, Big Oil or world peace? Big Oil or America? Bush isn't stupid, he knows what he's doing. We're stupid because WE don't. That or we're fools for believing him/believing IN him.
-
Some of them were stupid but most of them were valid. Oh well. Surprising? No...

I wasn't doing both in the same day. At the most, one non-pads scrimmage, and one 3 sets of any given thing, be it weights, windsprints, or I dunno, coverage drills. Not weights AND positions. Either way, boo-urns. I started over and promptly lost to GB taking it easy on my guys. Bastards...
-
They're only doing one thing every day. Pussies. Obviously you're right though. But otherwise I just don't seem to get the results I need. I just wish the kind of injury they got was based upon what I was doing to them. I could see someone getting concussed if they were doing full pads scrimmages, or tearing a calf muscle after too many workouts. But I seriously did 3 reps/drills for each focus position each day, thats it. Never even once did I do a full-pad drill.

UPDATE: Ricky Proehl broke his leg too, and I'm off my rocker. So far, Three of my Halfbacks and three of my wide receivers are injured, and two of them are top three. My passing game's shot and my running game is non-existant. I'm thinking of starting over, but I don't know how to prevent these injuries, they're BROKEN BONES!!!

Bryan Singer leaves X-Men to direct Superman
EricMM replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Xmen > Superman. Duh. Anyways, Screw CM Funk for doing the poochie thing first. Well. Maybe Storm can have the Kevin Nash exit line. "I'm going bye now!" -
I'm just concentrating on defense at this point. Work on getting punts to the < 10 yard line and make them punt it back, and get a fieldgoal or something. I get the feeling I gave them too many windsprints... but come on, they all broke their ARMS. So I don't get it...

Blame that big fucking truck of yours. I always do...

I'm playing Carolina All three of my HB's have arm injuries. I'm like, running two fullbacks in my backfield. Muhammed is out. Then one of my guys gets food poisoning. I can't believe this shit...
