In the state of MD, a bike is considered a "vehicle" and thus is SUPPOSED to be used on the road. I bike to and from work everyday. I have for a year now. There is nothing worse than assholes who have to lean on their horn and scream at you when they pass you because you're on your bike. As if there is anything more likely to cause an accident. I have every legal right to bike in the middle of the fucking lane if I want to, and if there's no shoulder, I HAVE to. Of course I don't, because I don't trust College Park drivers AT ALL. But roads ARE for bikes, if you feel otherwise take it up with your local lawmaker.

Let me just say this: NO ONE takes that long to eat or get ready in the morning. The game is flawed because if your sim holds down a job, s/he can do little else. There always has to be a housewife/husband so they can clean house and get "connections" And did they ever put weekends into that game? I guess it would make it "too easy"

Yea stop knocking the bike! I wish mines cost that much. With that kind of bike, one can really move

Let me break this down I guess this could be said to be blaming the Palestinans The rest of this is blaming the ISRAELIS. And you don't think you're biased? You don't think you're stupid?

I would presume that Mike would forward the theory that pollution is not (and CANNOT) cause global warming. But he's W-R-O-N-G.

Er, having not read up on this movie at all (it's on Fox) I'm going to hazard a basic "No" at least not all of that, not that quickly. Global warming is a gradual change over time. It's not an on/off switch, it's a process. It's a process that's already been put in motion, and it's a process that will be in motion regardless of what we do today. In fact the only reason anyone is looking to stop the process of global warming is to lessen the impact it will have on us. That being said, global warming will do just that. It will raise the average temperature of the globe a few scant degrees. Surely not more than 10 or 20 (over a period of a century) what this will do is cause the ice stored in the polar caps to melt. This will raise the sealevels to levels unseen in a millenia. It won't take much to melt the caps, there are plenty of areas which rest at *just* freezing, so even raising the temperature of those areas one or two degrees would cause those areas to eventually melt. let alone five, nine, or twelve. Its just a matter of how much of the caps will melt. This will effect the levels of the seas, and areas near the coast that are practically at sealevel will be covered. But that's not the main concern. What global warming will do is cause the earth's climates to shift. We are in a very set pattern, us societies. We do not need our weather to change drastically. Areas that are of one climate will change to a warmer one, and the hottest ones will become even moreso. Suffice to say, the tropics will expand. Areas like the mid atlantic (where I live) will become more tropical, with more storms and precipitation. The main effect would be on areas we traditionally deem as agricultural. Certain crops like certain climates, if the climates shift, we'll have to move where we grow crops. This probably won't effect the U.S., but for other parts of the world where people don't have the options we do, and their rice stops growing so well, or their rainfall changes, it will lead to famine. The U.S. will thankfully never have to deal with actual famine. SO to answer your question, I don't know if L.A. would become prime tornado country if it got warmer. It might, but it might not, again I don't know. I certainly wouldn't expect Tsunamis in New York, but the surf would increase. I don't think everything would freeze unless there was so much water in the air that the sun was permenantly blocked off, which I certainly don't see happening due to global warming, anytime soon.

Where, pray, did you get the notion that the U.S. soldiers are being encouraged to treat their prisoners in that fashion???

5th Round of RPG Tourneys 2k4: Good And Evil
EricMM replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
Celes – Final Fantasy 6 Kain – Final Fantasy 4 Terra – Final Fantasy 6 Tir – Suikoden Death – Castlevania (Series) [Had VD over Ganondorf] Jowy Blight - Suikoden 2 [Had VD over Kain] Queen Zeal - Chrono Trigger Magus - Chrono Trigger Square and Konami, Square and Konami. I still don't like how many of the good people were eliminated early. Thats why we should have established who was a top seed. Scrubs from obscure Jap RPGs that had no change should have been up against Kefka from the get go so we could have had real winners at the end. -
You must be out of your mind. The EU doesn't even have one currency.

Yes it IS isolated, because it's NOT the army's policy to do this, it's a couple of rogue soldiers who aren't being controlled. Yes, it is the army's fault this is happening. If it's not addressed, it would be a mockery. But it's NOT policy. Get it through your head.

Well what else in the world are we supposed to do??

Why don't I think Xeno stacks up? Because it's soooo cheesy! No game should aspire to be part of a seven part series. It's just bad for the game as a whole. When you play the game you know you're part of something bigger, and so it makes whats going on MUCH less relevant than the awsome shit going on in the intro, which is never really touched upon again. I didn't mind the 2nd CD because I like to read. I did mind having to read so slowly though. I just don't recommend it based upon how shitty it looks these days. FFX is just a better game... I will grant that the fighting in Suik 1 and 2 is generic, because it's the same old same old. Although the six char party makes it much better than some other games. But Suik 3's battle system was great, because you really had to plan out who to pair who with.

I really really dis-recommend Xenogears these days. It uhm, doesn't stack up well... If I hadn't seen Eva, I wouldn't have liked it as much, although having giant pink monsters cruicified is pretty awsome... I'll chime in and say Final Fantasy X has a lot of what you're looking for. Especially in terms of character customization. Final Fantasy VI (or III on the SNES) is again something thats old, but gold. Will you get CD quality sound? No. Is it the best Final Fantasy ever made? Probably. The only thing wrong with it now is the Mode 7 graphics. Granted, the stats aren't that customizeable, but come on. This is the story all other RPGs are trying to tell. These are the characters they're trying to create. Most others fail. Suikoden is superfun. I'll just say it, finding Suikoden for my brand new PSX was some kind of dream (this was pre-FFVII) because it was so great. Any suikoden game will do, if you play one, play them all I suppose. Although you can't really alter stats at all, there are so many characters to choose from that you can drastically alter your party. Disgaea is a Strat-RPG like Final Fantasy Tactics. I haven't personally finished it yet, but it certainly CERTAINLY has character customization. Out the wazoo. My word. Everything I've listed is for a Playstation. Thats your RPG machine, no question.

I guess this all goes back to whether or not one believes in original sin, or the no-errors nature of the good book. I for one disagree w/ both of those. Oh and Marney, weren't you calling God 'her' for a while? What happened to going down on God???

New Iron Chef America series on Food TV
EricMM replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
One month later, some of the shows have aired. Has anyone else caught it? So far the only real flaws I've seen is a total lack of an audience, as well as only four episodes made (so far). Is there going to be 'regular' Iron Chef America episodes, non-international episodes? -
I was just wondering because I just rewatched a couple of his matches in ROH recently, and I was wondering if anyone knows if he is coming back to ROH now that he is finito w/ WWE. Or is he working TNA instead?

Well it's very messed up to say the least.

I really liked Southpark, especially the cop stuff. how he was vomiting over the thought of sending a rich, white man to jail. I also really love how they've escaped most of the old conventions of the old show, such as Kenny only appearing in his hoodie.

I almost asked jpclemmens what he was doing straying from the LSD folder. You might want to change that avatar boyo.

Actually I think the point of these articles was that these kids DIDN'T do the shootings because of being picked on. They did it because one of them was a depressive suicidal case and the other one was a psychopath. They were insane, not mad. They didn't want revenge. Ripper I agree with you on at least one point. Obviously Columbine got the press it got because it was a middle America school shooting. Black kids shooting black kids in a poor black school is a largely (literally) unimpressive thing to most of America. It doesn't impress them, it just slides right off them. They practically don't care about it. Columbine was something new and different. Thats why it's so focused on. But I don't think it should be ignored at all. Anything that can get people to pay attention to how little the two kids' parents payed attention to their homicidal sons is good to me. People need to LEARN.

I agree w. bigjig about Kill Bill. Anyone looking for a plot heavy movie shouldn't go see a flick w/ a main character w/out a name. It was a revenge action flick in the stylings of kung fu flicks of bygone eras. It was a comedy for crying out loud.

you seriously mean intrinsic?
