hehe you practically DID read Dark Tower if you read Insomnia. Anything in DT series is fine, except perhaps the first one. Supposedly it's so old that he was too fixated on "college writing techniques" (See Bill in college in IT) But, the 2nd and ESPECIALLY 3rd are greaaat. 4 is ok, 5 is... mixed. AT the end I think King was going slightly insane... If you're gonna read DT you should probably pick up Black House, even if you hated on The Talisman. Actually Black House was a lot better. And, vyce, I can't believe you are hating on "Hearts in Atlantis." I really liked the college story.

Pennywise is kind of fun but it's not strait up DIY punk... Nothing I've heard is.

It just really got to me how it felt like the room (I guess) was just fucking with him because it WANTED to fuck with him, because it COULD fuck with him to PROVE that it could fuck with him. The sound of him losing his mind is just so frightening. Let me just say that after I saw The Ring I was paranoid that my computer monitor would click on and show some well scene sometime. That was a little unsettling. But now, I'm just dreading someday that my MP3 coming out of the speakers of my computer or out of my headphones, or telephone, or anywhere will cut off and I'll hear "Six! Six, this is Six, this is GODDAMN FUCKING SIX!!!" right into my ear.

I like his second song, re: Jesus. But I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate on the whole "voice-speeding-up-thing" that he had in "Through the Wire" I didn't like it in "Oh Boy" and I don't like it now. It sounds stupid. He's no Naz, he's no Jay-Z, but he KILLS the whole crunk shit-fest.

Poor MD ... It's just that MD has seemed to be unable to do two things this year: Score from outside the paint win by more than fucking 4 points. Every game had to be close, and you win some and lose some I just wish we could have penetrated more.

The reason Lita can't manage Matt is that I'VE certainly never seen her do anything (promo, etc) better than she wrestles, and uh, she can't wrestle too good either. To be honest I don't know who's a good manager anymore, besides maybe T.Long. Certainly no one brings the content like ROH's Julius Smokes. That guy is great AFAIK, he doesn't wrestle OR take bumps. Managers should just come out and pump people up. Lita has never been able to do that with her character, just her thong and ranas. They Hardyz were the ones over, not her.

Really good Mel Blanc Looney Tunes ARE the greatest cartoons of all time. Simpsons are also there now. Southpark is getting there. Samurai Jack is the best american action cartoon, otherwise it's something Japanese I'd say. For strait up comedy it's heyday-era simpsons. I'd of course OF COURSE stick Home Movies in there because I'm a fan of the humor style, but who am I kidding. I would say best of all time are the Looney Tunes as a whole, emphasizing Bugs, Daffey, Foghorn Leghorn, and some Porky. Current is the 4-7th season simpsons. Nothing else really comes close in terms of "best of all time" I mean if you must include action, Samurai Jack has, by far, the best produced and directed action animated to date. There's just no comp from cheesy 80's and 90's "action" cartoons like Tranformers, Turtles, and GI Joe. B:TAS, Gargoyles, and the like are more dramas than anything else, and I suppose thats another subgenre, but neither are remembered today the way the Simpsons are.

since everyone did a top 5, you'd have to include at least TWO dark towers, (drawing of 3 and The Wastelands) And to be honest, King can be a bit lengthy, which is why his novellas and short stories are sooooo great. The Long Walk, Shawshank, Children of the Corn, The Mist, Rage, 1408 (the only King book that actually freaked me out) all those books are good AND good quickly. IT and the Stand and Bag of Bones are all superb but they're HUUUUGE. The short stories are sweet. Bag of bones, god, that's the perfect ghost story, as is 'Salems Lot the perfect Vampire story

Of course. Thats why I asked for it. So it'd make me happy.

Because, ripper, having an army at home isn't really that effective in preventing suicide bombings and the like. CONVERSELY, pacifying Iraq is bad for terrorists, AND NOT buckling to terrorists after one attack is definitely bad for terrorists. Imagine if the U.S. had pulled all troops out of Arabia and all funds out of Israel post 9/11. Do you think Anti-US terrorism would stop?
