Manufacturing will stay here because transporting stuff from here to China has skyrocketed in price.

First one was better. More serious. This one is far too light hearted, IMO. Is it closer to the comics? I dunno.

This may actually help Obama....... Obama should go out and to the Southpark "apologize" bit to Jackson.

Seriously. Buy something that ISN'T A TRUCK~!

This argument with Barron is never going to go anywhere, Jingus, he obviously said he prefers the movies to the books, sees the books as secondard to the movies. Filling in the cracks, my goodness. At least call them gaping holes. In my humble opinion, there is not much difference between the movies of Harry Potter and those cliffnotes versions of books you can buy in most University Bookstores. At least, if those cliffnotes books came with pretty pictures and a nice soundtrack. My grand elitist statement is this: anyone who prefers the movies to the books is an illiterate, has no attention span, an Emma Watson fanboi, or ... I dunno what else. Anyone who appreciates Harry Potter for the story would read the books and prefer them.

I agree with Anya. As long as they can preserve the gameplay (?) of the originals (the only pre-X megaman games I played were on the gameboy, and I dunno if they were the same) why not give it at least SNES graphics.

That, MX, is not funny at all. It's compeletely reasonable, given the alternatives.

You're missing the point, kindof.

Thats what I was saying, regarding police response times. Did it not come across clearly? The people in D.C. decided that they didn't want guns on their streets. Maybe they understand their situation better than some NRA member from Texas.

It makes it much easier to prove that he did NOT.

I agree that it's not that easy for someone to get the drop on you in your own home, as long as you sense them getting in. But anywhere else, if someone literally surprises you or directly pulls on you, what do you do? What, are you gonna walk around, gun out? Of course not. Thats where this all falls apart.
-
I don't see the connection here. A criminal is almost always going to draw first. If you're in a one on one situation, and someone points a gun at you, are you going to try to be Quickdraw McGraw and pull and shoot faster than they can shoot?
-
Some do, most generally don't. I would say the ratio of full to empty escalades I've seen, is closer to 1:20 than 1:10.

Anyone complaining about bears has no reason to even mention handguns. And it's not necessarily like someone in the middle of an urban area can expect the po-po in 5 minutes after a call, far from it.

Ah the illusion of frugality from a smaller tank. Major facepalm...

NAMCO YOU WHORE!!!!

Excuse me, are you saying guest characters as in Yoda? Yoda's a reskin??

I can't believe the guy from the party of Bush (son of a President) and McCain (son of an Admiral) get to call Obama (son of a money-pressed-at-times single mother) elitist.

I'm just annoyed that this law was pressed by people who don't even live in D.C., just because its the nations capital. Not that they would every try to IMPROVE the city of D.C., but heaven forbid a city try to stem the gun violence inside it.

I'm sure one of the goals of the new batteries are faster charging. I would sure love to see flywheels really take off. I'm not sure if we can put them in cars (imagine all that force) but we really need good storage medium to help renewable energies take off, and pumping water uphill isn't exactly going to cut it. So either strong batteries or strong flywheels...or something else?

Marvin you act like I'm opposed to producing new sources of power. I'm all for a government initiative to train and hire people to build massive amounts of renewable power, be it wind, tidal, solar, what have you. Especially in the Southwest, the solar potential is so huge. And solar thermal plants retain enough heat to run at night. 250 miles may not seem like a lot, but if you have "power stations" at work as well as at home, it's not such a big deal. I mean, my car only gets ~300 miles per tank of gas, it's a ten gallon tank on a really old car, I don't see the problem here. This isn't like hydrogen where the infrastructure isn't in place. We already have a grid. We could, admittedly, make it better, but it's there.

Either way, I can quote my environmental science textbooks from Highschool and College that have graphs that show that CO2 causes Global Warming. An astronomy textbook doesn't do it for me. Astronomy?

AND that since the only person generally able to testify in that crime is the child AND the person is almost always a relative of the child, it would be essentially a child trying to get their stepfather or uncle killed. Not something an eight year old can deal with.

President Cheney (shudder)

Then source the book / author. Come on man.
