For me a big part of the ending was Sigur Ros. Now, I fell asleep many times during this movie, I was tired and watching it on DVD, but when I woke up for the end, I think being half asleep made it better...

Well technically the Wii version comes with the Ada Wong stuff. But still. The Wii remote is just better control. I don't see the issue at all.

The Dalai Lama is certainly trying to broker some sort of peace agreement because he knows that there are many in his population that are gung ho for battling China, to no good end. He can keep them in control, because frankly he is an amazing individual, but when he passes, and China says any Dalai Lama appointed without their consent is *already* breaking the law...
-
Why would you *want* to go back to that control scheme???

In the most recent episodes of Naruto, instead of that regular scenes behind the rolling credits, they seem to be showing clips from some Naruto movie, unless I tragically miss my guess. Anyone know what this is/ what its from?q

Anyone live near one of these so-called "mongolian BBQ / grill" places where you make up your own stirfry based upon all kinds of ingredients and they stirfry it for you? And you can go as many times as you like, for like $10? It's great.

Why the fuck haven't we federalized these people yet? They obviously cannot learn to play nice...
-
They're definitely better for the restaurant because they don't make food to order so much, so they can control their kitchens more easily. Why do people go? Some people prefer quantity to quality, and no that doesn't necessarily mean they're fatties, but they like a little of this and a little of that.

I just hope it keeps track of records like the last one did. Didn't it show your W/L records against your friends?

Don't you see, bob, that you're using the book to explain the movie? This has become an issue to me, that those of us who've read the book know exactly why everything is happening, but those who haven't, don't. They may know what, but it's not explained.

You must be overjoyed that the increased heat has made for a roughly 50% fatality rate for boarder crossers. PS. Tuk Ar Jobs!

That may be, but I believe Tenochtitlan was one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, cities at the time. They may've bathed more, but they certainly lived in squalor.

Yes, all the horses the Natives used were from Europeans initially. And Cortez never would have beaten the Aztec without smallpox.

Oh come on Slayer, could we not bring up the middle east...

Fire Pro!? FANTASTIC!!!

I think an even better question would have been: what if the native Americans had either horses or gunpowder weapons up front? Or at least steel. Conversely, what if the first transcontinental ships came from America to Europe? I wonder if there were any American plagues on the level of smallpox that could have decimated Europe the way smallpox decimated the Americas? There must have been...

You all are talking about making the movies into faithful adaptations of the books like it has been going on. That stopped right around the Goblet of Fire. Absolutely. There is no hope for this one...What I mean by that is that everyone I've talked to says this book sums everything up nicely. It brings back old characters, even for just a few sentences. It finishes the story that has been building for most of the books, certainly from book four. Granted, what happened in book 1 isn't really important now, but they certainly did go back go the CoS.

the UK is a floodplain? And Jingus, it's like, if it's 1ºF higher, you're not going to notice it in the thermometer, but it's going to affect climate (not weather so much)
-
When the show Family Guy ends up getting pertinant, you're too predictable.
-
Jingus, it can "magically" do both, depending on the location. warmer temperatures will cause more rain where there is water to be absorbed, and more draught where there isn't. It will expand the tropics, and increase rainfall in many areas. Areas where the weather is already dry, it will get dryer. But I never knew TN to be particularly dry, so I cannot say for sure.

No, they explained the whole wand thing seperately. Pay attention It was all actually explained. Reread the Kings Cross chapter...
