Wild Arm's music was great! Add good CD quality music with classic 2D sprites and a fancy schmancy anime intro and you have a perfect RPG for that era. Never should have gone for that combat system though... But IIRC the PSX was no good at 2D?

Look, there's really not a lot of argument wriggle room. Anyone who just writes off Chrono Trigger as a game either A) has no real valid opinion on games, or at least RPGs or .... vaguely possibly B) never played it until like last year and couldn't deal with the outdated tech. Anyone who played it at the time and likes RPGs loved it and loves it still, to my knowledge.

Chamber of Secrets is easily 1/3 the size of the latter two books. I would totally devote the next day to reading the book but I just don't know how or where I'll be getting the darn book...

What is that perspective then? They're faithful yet still chattel? To in order to ignore the inconsistancies in the bible, you just have to want to ignore them. Fascinating. This still reminds me of a logics class I had in college. Prof: Somebody try to prove to me the soul exists. Student: It says so in the bible. P: What if the bible is wrong? S: ...The bible is the word of God, it cannot be wrong. P: What if God doesn't exist? Would you still believe in souls? S: Whatever, if you won't listen to logic... etc. If you cannot prove the bible's truths without the bible, then where's the truth?

Like I said, Black, that may be true for all sorts of games, but it can never be really true about fighting games. They're the ultimate twitch games. Especially Street Fighter 3 and the like. As I'm sure has been said before, you can combo a low short kick or whatever into a 30% supercombo, easily. That short kick has, what, three, six frames? That's sheer tenths of a second. Until online technology gets to the point where there will be no lag, at all, the games would be, at best, guessing games, and at worst pure frustration.

I would probably have the same Arcade as PK. If anything, I would CHARGE LESS FOR GAMES. And sell sodas and stuff, with trashcans on each side of the machines. Maybe even little counter areas so people wouldn't put their sodas on the machines.

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the whole arcade thing these days is based around fighters and DDR machines. Fighters because it is a central location for people to meet and play, against people they don't know that well, DDR because DDR hard pads cost too much. Games like Gauntlet and the Simpsons arcade and etc. will be easily replaced by the home experience, but fighters will always be hurt by lag. There seems to be connection perfect enough for fighters like Tekken, SF3, VF, and Soul Calibur.

At this point a $200 price point would reek of desperation. They need to drop huge exclusive quality games and/or features. I mean, if this Home dealie is so snazzy, break it out!

Yeah seriously I commiserate that you live in the south where everything is bigger and badder and no one would ride a bus, and everyone drives a pickup. But that is a pit the south dug themselves into. PT is what you make of it.

Minicoopers are hard to get, they're like the iPods, 03 iPods, of the car world. Overinflated costs. They SHOULD have more diesel in this country, but our memories are tainted by 80's diesel, and we don't know that there has been almost three decades of refinement in Europe. Of course people should bike. I bike to work everyday as long as it's not raining or I don't have something else I'll need my car for. My preferred part besides the exercise and the good sleep that comes with it is that you're going at your own pace. No traffic. No getting stuck in a backup for even ten minutes. That shit kills me.
