Vanity Fair's cool because it features columns by Christopher Hitchens and James Wolcott, which is just a hilariously toxic pairing. I think the combined bile spewed by the two of them is enough to get some issues classified as legally radioactive.

It was the first Waits album I heard (purchased from Wal-Mart!) and so I have a special fondness for it. The title track and "Barcarolle" tug at my heartstrings like few other things.

When they come in a torrent like this Marvin's posts begin to take on a weird Zen-like quality. Each individual post is still complete shit on its own, but taken as a whole it's sort of mesmerizing.
