Theres always been an excuse with Tyson... Buster Douglas - It was the referees fault Holyfield - Headbutts Lewis - It was Mike's medicine Tyson has been known for convenient injuries for a long time as well....the fact is he got knocked out. Buster Douglas fight, Tyson didnt even take that fight seriously, he signed with Don King and viewed boxing a new way. He basically lost the desire he had when he was with Cus D'Amato and Kevin Rooney. Buster's mother died weeks before the fight, so he fought the fight of his life. That's the real story of Mike Tyson/Buster Douglas. Had Tyson taken the fight seriously, he would of won easily. But he came into the fight out of shape and thought Buster was just a chump. No excuses for Holyfield and Lewis. He lost fair and square. He was not the same fighter he was before though. Espically in the Lewis fight. Tyson-Mania is now offically over. He is done. I knew Tyson would lose again, but I didn't think Danny Williams would be the man to do it. This fight doesnt hurt Tyson's legacy. He is still a hall of famer. He clearly was a shadow of his former self. He basically lost his head movement and just took bombs from Danny Williams. Tyson could of been the greatest heavyweight of all-time, but too many personal demons. Which is clearly explainable because of the envoirment he grew up in. But he lost his hunger to win after Cus died, Rooney left and when he signed with Don King. He saw boxing a different way when he signed with Don King. He didn't want to win, he just wanted to make money.

I have trouble seeing Jason Kidd getting traded. Espically with his serious knee injury. Plus Jason Kidd said if he is traded it would be to a West team(San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks are the teams). Spurs - Already have their PG of the future in Tony Parker Lakers - Possible, but I don't they are interested in Kidd, and I don't think the NJ Nets want people like Caron Butler for Kidd. Mavs - Already have their PG of the future in Devin Harris

Who will Angle wrestle next week?
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Precious Roy's topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah...like they'll job Taker before the PPV. Kurt Angle is the only few wrestlers, Taker would job to. And they will job Taker if it develops a fued. -
You never know. He's with Paul Heyman, and Heyman made Lesnar who he was. By the way, am I the only one starting to like JBL more and more as the weeks go by? Not wrestling wise, but character wise. It was too early to push him as a world champion, they should of started him out by fueding with John Cena. But still, he is very over and is great on the mic.

I could see him wrestling the Undertaker... with him winning because of a JBL interference. -
Even though I strongley dissagree with your opinion on the fued. I actually found that post funny. But on topic... A Batista Vs. Edge Vs. Y2J match works out great.
-
Sorry for going off-topic. But can you state your reasons for this comment?
-
Orton was getting that the NFL treatment and the RNN skits and Batista was getting pushed as the animal and Flair's prize pick. You can't argue there. RNN skits were pure gold, and if it arent for them, Randy wouldn't be where he is at today.

I was watching WMXV the other day, and was watching Bart Gunn Vs. Butterbean. Butterbean knocked Bart Gunn into the next world! That was a crazy KO punch. My question was, why did they have this match-up? Was it punishment for Bart Gunn(He didnt return to the WWF after that)? Why did Bart Gunn leave? Can someone tell me the whole story? I remember the Brawl 4 All's they had in 1998, but I was still into kayfabe back then( Gr. 5). Were they fixed? Or they actually brawled? Thanks in advance.

I know that the Internet's favorite wrestler is Benoit. But you guys gotta get prepared for when Benoit loses the title. I think it's almost time for his reign to come to a end. If it's at RAW, Summerslam, Unforgiven or Survivor Series, he has to lose it before the end of the year for sure. The candidates to became new champion are as follows. HHH If he doesn't win at RAW, I think it's safe to say he wont win the title off Benoit in the future. There are already people stating that HHH and Benoit will not face each other at Summerslam. Plus their fued is getting old and has been running since after the Royal Rumble. Edge The current IC champion looks to be a world champion soon. The WWE decided he was the right person to end Randy's reign at champion. Although I would have liked Shelton Benjamin to, I don't mind Edge doing it. He can cut a very good promo, does have charisma, and is pretty over. And he is a very good wrestler. So I wouldn't mind him. Plus it's somthing new. Randy Orton He is the one I want to win it. Because I think his character is at the peak right now. Mick Foley fued made this guy, and now he looks to be a world champion material. I say give the belt to him. I think it could work.(Although I strongley dissagree with people comparing him to Rock of 1998. Rock wass on a another level)

I dissagree with you all. What does age have to do with it? Just because Randy Orton is 23, doesn't make him any less over. Randy Orton is not perfect, everyone knows that. He still needs to improve in certain areas. But right now he is alot better then most wrestlers in the WWE. He does have charisma, he can cut a very good heel promo, and he can work a decent match(great match if given the right wrestler to carry him). And like I said in the pervious post, it all depends on how Benoit makes him out to be in the match at Summerslam. Everyone was scared of the thought of Lesnar being World Champ, until The Rock made him look like a million bucks at Summerslam 02. Benoit could do the excat same for Orton. I personally would rather wait until Survivor Series to put the belt on Orton, but I personally wouldn't mind him holding the belt now. It could be alot worse. I'd rather Orton have it, then Edge.

Randy wasn't given the push Brock did when he 1st came. Randy earned it.
-
True, alot of Lesnar's sucess has to do with Paul Heyman. He got Lesnar over as the unstopable monster.
-
Brock Lesnar leading up to his reign, was about as equal with Randy Orton now. Randy might even be better. Remember, Brock looked very green in the ring. And it looked like he wasn't ready to carry the title. But Rock made him look like a million bucks at Summerslam. Benoit could do the same for Orton.

Teddy Long is gonna rule as Smackdown GM. Ble'dat.
-
Please? A main event at WrestleMania and Triple H isn't involved? If you pitched this match idea to Vince, he'd fire your ass just for the lack of Game-age. Sad, but true. Just me wishful thinking.
-
Shelton Benjamin Vs. Randy Orton, Main Event at Wrestlemania!
-
No... It went completely awful when Benoit left to RAW, Lesnar quit the WWE, and Angle got injured.

Who should beat Benoit for the title?
Lt. Al Giardello replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in The WWE Folder
Not going to happen. I wouldn't even book that long of reign for Benoit. -
I hate it when people talk shit. Eugene and HHH has been building for a long time now, so don't give me this 3 weeks to build it bullshit. Randy Orton is not a midcarder, he is a upper mid-carder. And yes it is possible to build a very good fued with Benoit in 3 weeks.
-
The difference between Flair and Hogan is... Hogan held down people for his own benefit, and his friends benefit. Flair held down people because he thought it was best for business(Although he was wrong).
-
Guys, don't forget Shelton Benjamin is returning soon. So he could be on the card.
-
Theodore Long... Playa.
-
Actually, Pippen was more like a 18-20 PPG man. But if your gonna talk about Pippen, don't talk about his scoring. He was a GREAT defender. One of the best in the leauge back in the 90's. Man on man defense, I doubt think I've seen anyone in that era play better. And he is ALOT better then Odom.
-
Agreed with that list. I also like Michael Tucker tho.
