so it's Saturday: 4:30 Redskins at Seahawks (NBC Tom Hammond and Collinsworth) 8:00 Jaguars at Steelers (NBC Madden and Michaels) Sunday: 1:00 Giants at Bucs (FOX Buck and Aikman) 4:00 Titans at Chargers (CBS Nantz and Simms)
-
And the Titans make the playoffs. Lame. Browns/Chargers would have been a much better game
-
I have to agree with you Czech that Dick Stockton seems to be openly rooting against the Bears for some reason. I think this is the first Bears game I've seen him announce this year and it's obvious.
-
Steve Grogan wasn't special. Didn't have that cool pocket presence. Didn't display a boyish grin when down 6 with 1:30 to go in the 4th quarter. That certain intangible... How do expect a great city to root for a guy like that?

Giants running the ball down ten with 3 minutes to go I FUCKING HATE Kevin Gilbride
-
The Giants goal line D is putrid. When they can't blitz they have no chance
-
and that should about do it. Well the way the pats played tonight I could easily see the Colts beating them and maybe even jacksonville
-
BTW, if the Jets beat Tennessee (currently down 10-6) and Minnesota beats the Skins tonight then all the playoff spots will be clinched in both conferences. All that would be left for Week 17 would be seeding. This would totally kill NBC as they would have no big game to show next Sunday Night. If this happens they'll probably just stick with the scheduled KC/Jets game due to NY and the "Herm Edwards Factor"
-
Agreed. They rushed for nearly 300 Yards today. Bradshaw looks like a potential star (or is the Bills Run D just that pathetic?) It's Gilbride. He's an awful playcaller who gives up *way* too fast on the run. He has to go in the offseason no matter what And amazingly the Giants finish 7-1 on the road this year. Obviously they played a lot of soft teams but that's damn impressive in the NFL

Stuart Scott has cancer: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/2007-12-20-...tt-cancer_N.htm As much as we rag on his announcing, hope nothing but a full recovery

WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - December 2007

The momentum WCW had in the first half of 98 actually started in late 97. For whatever reason in about August/September they started caring about the midcard again after just throwing stuff out there for most of 97. I was pretty much entrenched in the WWF at the time but that period from WCW from Sept. 97 till August 98 was still able to hold my interest to a degree. 1999 ended that though. BTW, WCW in 97 (till August) has to me the most overrated time period for the company. I can't believe those shows were praised at the time. Just incredibly stale -

You're right. I shouldn't have trusted the board I got it from. They just assumed it was for the WM push -

NFL Week 14 - Dolphins? More like LOLphins! Amirite?
strummer replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Sports
But how do you *know* the reason the Bears aren't winning is because lack of effort? Maybe they are trying their best and simply not good enough this year. Do you think the Patriots didn't win the Super Bowl in 02 due to lack of effort and then all of a sudden got their "hunger" back in 03-04. It was the same team and same staff. I can *kinda* see this argument in football but no way in baseball, which is a pure skill game. You can be hungry as hell but it won't help you catch up to a 95 MPH fastball. -

With Tammy looking that good and obviously having a new set of implants I'd be shocked if she wasn't offered a contract -
Stephanie doing eveything in her power not to laugh was pretty funny.
-
Kornheiser clearly wants the Ravens to win. He basically said this in his various hyperbole. Tirico and Jaworski? Well yeah.
-
so they are closing with a Stephanie promo. She seems to have taken over that time slot this year. What is this # 4 this year?
