Exactly. Dave is saying "JYD is in it, how could it possibly be good? I mean JYD is bad in a regular match, but in a ladder match? "Imagine how bad he could be there"
-
The "unbelievable first match" part in the last sentence of the intro. You know it was reeking of sarcasm. You know like a history of ladder matches and JYD is included and in the first match of all things
-
I love how Dave still can't resist taking shots at JYD. It's in his genetic code or something.

are you guys talking about when Norm went on Conan and had diarrhea and Conan totally loses it and starts laughing uncontrollably? If so, yes that is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. Haven't seen it in ages. I have that on tape somewhere along with every Norm talk show appearance from 1996-2000 (yes even the View ones)

Shit. The Braves are good again

I remember the 93-94 Playoffs very well (coincidentally it was also my Freshman year in High School). Being a Knicks fan this was probably the apex of my interest in the NBA. What people really don' t remember is that the Knicks could have very easily lost to the Pacers in the Conference Finals. They were down 3-2 with game 6 in Indiana. Ironically (considering what happened a few weeks later) people were talking about how "clutch" John Starks was after the Knicks won game 6. This was also during the Rangers Stanley Cup push with Messier's guarentee of winning game 6 in NJ.. 94 was also the year the Mets were playing over their heads and were hovering around .500 after the disastrous 93 season. Of course it was a sense of false hope as they were awful again in 95 and 96.

People seriously need to check put the YES Network message board right now. It's like hundreds of Anglesaults losing it at one time.

Well it's pretty clear that Mike Pelfrey doesn't belong in the Major Leagues yet. He was shelled tonight and in his last start he only had two swings and misses out of 100 pitches. Also, is K rate was pathetic during the spring. I'm cursing Rick Peterson for messing with his stuff and trying to get him to "pitch to contact". It was obviously a small sample but last year he was showing some signs of being a tough power pitcher but then Peterson went and totally changed his pitching style.

Apparently after last night's Mets/Phils game Charlie Manuel challenged Howard Eskin to a fight. LOL

Yeah Piper and Hogan was never going to happen because Roddy basically refused to job. If it wasn't Piper in the main event at WM 2 I really can't think of another heel that could have filled the slot other than Bundy.

Matt Cain has a no-hitter through six innings EDIT: well that didn't take long

and there's your explanation for the 4 way

I was at that RAW in Albany. Dead crowd? Wait till weeks 3 and 4 of the taping cycle. Complete silence. IIRC correctly the top guys weren't even getting heat and the crowd was pissed at the Shawn/Austin 10 second dark match "Main Event" I also have to agree that Nitro wasn't as good as I remember it being during this time frame. People like to talk about all the "great matches" on Nitro during this time but they really didn't start taking place until late 97- 98 when for whatever reason the workers starting getting a lot more time.

Mets play their usual frustrating game against John Smoltz where they get tons of base runners but can't get the big hit (13 LOB today)Glavine was let down by his defense in a call back to the nightmare 03-04 seasons. And yes Paul F"N Lo Duca hit a homerun off of John Smoltz

Mets win 10-0 and sweep the Cardinals. First time Mets have swept a season opening series since 1994.
-
Paul Heyman did the same exact thing. EXTREME WARFARE VOLUME 11!! BORN TO BE WIRED!! Heyman promoted the violent aspect of the product the most heavily.
-
Mets beat the Cardinals 4-1 tonight without striking a single batter out.

John Sterling during Saturday's Spring Traning game between the Yankees and Tigers: (After Robinson Cano is thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double) "If you think about it that's not really a bad play" Of course the thought behind it was that Cano was being "aggressive" so it somehow makes up for making an out on the basepaths.

Every time Leyla talks I always get the feeling she doesn't understand that wrestling is a work

The baseball threads aren't going to be the same without Czech and Bruiser Chong ranting about all things Cub.
