Looking at that Nitro in retrospect, the Horseman stuff was *so* bad in late 96. They were made to look like total goofs. Especially Benoit. The NWO came off so much cooler and hipper. And to think people were praising this angle at the time because Benoit was actually getting consistent air time and had a a somewhat linear storyline.

Foley and the Meros used to be good friends but Mick flipped out when he discovered that Mero got a much bigger contract from the WWF. He also said that Rena Mero used to be a real sweet girl (their kids were friends IIRC) but became arrogant and conceited when she received her monster push in 1998.

I've mentioned this before but when I discovered the IWC in 1997 the first big realization I had was that there was "good" wrestling and "bad" wrestling. I really never looked at wrestling from a quality perspective, but more from a competitive/sports perspective. I cared about win and losses, the titles, the champions and if my favorites were doing well. The idea that a wrestler or wrestling match could be "bad" was foreign to me and it took a while to adjust.

David Cross is going to be playing a Howard K. Stern type character on Law and Order this May in a "Ripped from the Headlines" episode on the Anna Nicole mess. I MUST watch this.

A hilarious article (for anyone with a clue about baseball) on Juan Pierre with some of the most asinine quotes I've ever read about baseball from Maury Wills and Rich Donnelly. Anyone notice that Trump flubbed a line bigtime in his promo? Vince said that 95% of celebrities wanted to see Trump shaved. Trump was supposed to respond by saying that 95% of the fans wanted Vince shaved, but instead repeated Vince's lines about celebrities. Vince's response of the fans being idiots didn't make any sense because Trump never mentioned the fans
