Grace to me is your typical homer announcer. He's my worst kind of announcer (ala Michael Kay) in that won't criticize his own team but is never shy of blasting the opposing team. His behavior last year during the Mets/D-Backs series was sickening. After Pedro dared to hit "class act" Luis Gonzalez he started hurling insults and then laughed when he (Pedro) lost his no-hiiter.

What the hell has happened to the Cardinals pitching staff?

Or not. Can't believe he got out of that. Damn

Billy wagner about to blow another one
-
This is smart as Punk would have gotten no reaction in most cities. Now he comes of as a star to a degree.
-
I knew something was up when Bradford and Heilman were mowing the Marlins down in the 7th and 8th. The Marlins never go down that easy. And of course Wagner blows it in the 9th on a walk off by Josh Willingham.

Was Aaron Heilman's 2005 season a fluke? Why has he struggled so much this year?

I wonder if they will do some fake lesbian tension betweem Melina and Lita
-
Meltzer's report hasn't been updated in almost an hour. What's going on?
-
Nikki Fritz is indeed the best soft-core actress (Or Erotic Thriller to be technical). She is absolutely fabulous. The lesbian scene with LeAnna Scott on NightCap is a favorite. It's funny because if you watch a lot of the soft core flicks from the mid 90's Nikki is in a bunch of them in small roles and you can't really even tell it's her. I always liked Shauna O'Brien until she got the enormous implants. They were great initially but the luster wore off quickly. I miss Athena Massey who definitely should have done a lot more in the mid/late 90s. I have no idea what happened to her. I think she got married and had kids but I'm not sure. I'm probably dating myself with these names but Julie Strain, Rochelle Swanson,Shannon Whirry, Julie K. Smith were all favorites.

this is like the 15th time the Mets have had an opportunity to sweep a home series and have yet to do so.

I think it's official that Heilman's 2005 season was a fluke. The hitters have figured him out as he's not fooling anyone anymore and they are sitting on his changeup. I wouldn't be suprised if he's traded by the 31st.

The sad thing is that at the time (early 90s) Cuyler was being tauted as a future Superstar, which goes to show you that scouts/writers/analysts always overrate players with a lot of speed

The Yankees always win games like this. Just when you think they are reeling, they're bailed out by bad pitching or a big break and eek out a win. The Blue Jays should be kicking themselves if they lose this game (down 5-4 in the 9th) Edit: Yankees hold on. That's a horrific loss for the Jays

Yankees with a big break as Jorge Posada was out at 1st but called safe on a ground ball to the right side . Huge as it would been the second out with a runner on third. Instead 1st and 3rd one out And of course Johnny Damon ties it with a sac fly
