SPOILER!!! SPOILER WARNING! The plan right now is to have a Kane & Big Show vs. Rey Mysterio & Batista match at the Armageddon PPV on 12/18. Credit: PWInsider.com So Batista is protected in a tag match to hide the injury. I guess they feel the HIC match is enough of a draw to not have a world title match on PPV.
-
I hope the main event is building towards a Batista/Rey program. It will probably be filler until Dave fueds with Orton, but Rey deserves a main event angle.
-
Christ, what was the budget for this show with all the "special effects"? Just more wasted money on stuff that won't help draw a dime.

I can't believe Arnie is still on the air! I haven't listened to him since 1997 when Sporting News Radio left my market. My brother and I used to listen to Bob Kemp on the overnights on SNR. I remember liking him.

Meltzer will bury this story in the Observer because of his man-love for Flair just like he did with the Plane ride from Hell

um, they've only added 1 starting first baseman and 1 reliever so far. Not exactly "throwing a team together" There is going to be serious backlash against the Mets this offseason. I can tell already. It's going to make it even more humiliating next year if they don't win. But you have to remember the Mets wouldn't be doing this (Wilpon letting the payroll get this out of control?) if they weren't starting their own network next season. And for all the "Mets are too old" stuff that is going to come up, they're young in CF, SS, and 3B. Can't defend the age of the pitching staff though.

Just saw a local ad for New Year's Revolution (being held in Albany, NY) during Impact and it gives away the Main Event for the show. The ad has shots of the Elimination Chamber with images of Cena, Shawn Michaels, Carlito, Big Show, Kane, and HHH spliced in. So that looks to be the ME of the show. Now I just saw this and don't remember any shots of Angle. Could be wrong, but it doesn't look like he will be in the match.

Vince isn't ready to give up on Cena as top babyface just yet. He's not turning anytime soon.
-
Didn't it comes down to Shawn/Orton at SS '03. I guess Shawn is getting his job back

Don't TNA fans know that Gayda is married to Haas? Why would Jarrett be banging her? Edit: Frigid beat me to it.

Knicks are getting blown out by the fucking Bobcats. Just pathetic.

Bonds didn't knee a trainer in the balls for no reason. AJ is a dick.
-
AJ is not a star by any means. He got his first real dose of celebrity during the post season for the famous "dropped" third strike. He's not an ALL Star player. For what it's worth he's known as probably the biggest douchebag in the game.

Carlos Delgado could be on his way to the Mets for Yusmeiro Petit

If this deal went down it would seriously make me a diehard NBA fan once again. I haven't been into the NBA big time since 2000-2001, coincidentally the last time the Knicks were a legit good time. I'm sorry but I think one of the big reasons the NBA has declined in popularity the past 5 years is because the Knicks have sucked so hard. It's tough when the team in your biggest market is non-competitive and down right boring to watch. With that said, no chance in hell this deal goes through.

As someone who pays somewhat close attention to the NY media scene (albeit from a far) I have to say that Mushnick doesn't exactly have a perfect record Last month he was criticizing the airing of all the Poker shows on TV saying that it will lead to a generation of gamblers. Well that's great but what he didn't say was that on the next page of the NY Post was an ad for a new Poker game created by the Newspaper itself. His response was a rather lame "well I criticize the Fox network and they own the Post, ... so uhh yeah" He also has personal vendettas against sports broadcasters he doesn't like and when confronted he usually fumbles his way to a response I'm not saying he isn't right about wrestling deaths because he is but the thing you have to remember about Phil is that he loves to attack but when people fire back, he usually caves in or gives a stuttering, blundering response.

1992 was also the worst financial year in WWF history which shows the fans are a big part of the blame for the steroid abuse.
-
I was backing what you said. I'm glad the Mets didn't get him. This is a good deal IMO if the Mets upgrade at 2b and RF.
-
He had a 6.92 ERA outside of Petco

My God my mother passes away on July 15th and then I lose one of my favorite wrestlers. I know it is cliche but believe me this year I've learned that life is precious. RIP Mom and Eddie

well, now it appears the Braves are hell bent on resigning Furcal. So much for that news they were out of it. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5067162 Also, apparently Neifi Perez and Furcal are friends and Perez is trying to recruit him to sign with the Cubs
-
Of course this could change, but from reading various reports it seems the Rafael Furcal sweepstakes is down to the Mets and Cubs. The Braves have no scheduled meetings with Furcal, thus pretty much guaranteeing he's leaving Atlanta. Also, the Red Sox-Mets trade talk is reportedly back on with Manny going to the Mets for Mike Cameron and 2 of the following: Heilman, Petit, and Milledge.
