if the show does a good number, who will get the credit, Batista, HHH or Hogan?

The NBA playoffs are SO predictable, there are hardly any upsets at all. Only Detroit, San Antionio and Miami have a realistic shot at winning the title. They should have never moved the first round to 7 games, 5 games allows more for the chance of upsets. Unlike the others sports, if you don't have any GREAT players, you can't win a title in the NBA. It's all about personnel. 10 years ago I used to watch practically every NBA playoff game, now I will only catch a few here and there.

yes Jackie was writing jokes, but Howard would disregard most of them. Jackie, Howard and Fred used to write out bits that were performed on air, but in the last 10 years or so they have almost completely stopped doing that. Artie and Benji are "writers on the fly" during the show, if they think of a line, they send it to Howard and it's up to Howard if he uses it.

I was a Stern fan from about 90-92 (Channel 9 Show) and then again from 96-2001. I've listened less and less the last 4 years. I still kind of like him, but he's nowhere near as good he was in the late 90s. My problem with him is that he lets his ego get in the way of being funny. The show actually did bits and sketches that were damn funny, but now he doesn't do that AT ALL anymore. The show has become so serious the last couple of years and Howard's outright refusal to do scripted bits anymore has hurt the quality. I think he wanted to prove that he could do a show where he talked for 5 hours and didn't have to rely on written material to get by.

do people in Oklahoma know that one of the best and most popular baseball players in history, Mickey Mantle, is from there? They don't seem to take much pride in it.

Is strummer dead? just read box scores, haven't seen a game since Sunday. I think I'm going to give myself 3-4 more weeks.

it is 100% legit, he DOES know that much. He is married and has a family, so I don't know if we should feel sorry for him or anything, he does have a life. And plus it is his job to know that much

in that same post at PWBTS, it says Test is returning to Raw to work a program with Stephanie McMahon, is that from the Observer too? God please let it not be. Anyone?

I'm not getting my hopes up that he will miss a lot of time. If it was real serious, Meltzer would have said something already

I forget who did it, but Vince and Austin were pissed at a heel that tried to stiffle the WHAT chants. I think it was Angle. Austin was so protective of his character at that time that he wouldn't let anything happen that could potentially lessen his heat.

PWI just said that one of the main reasons she quit was because she hated being a heel and wanted to turn face badly. Management told her she wouldn't be believable in the role and that was the last straw. I'm assuming she wanted the face turn so her character would be treated better (no fat ass or prude stuff) and probably because she thought she would do less jobs as a face.

from PWI: According to several sources, Molly Holly's release from World Wrestling Entertainment was something that Holly approached WWE about last night at Raw, as opposed to her being a victim of cost-cutting. According to several, it had been clear for some time that Holly had been unhappy and wanted out. WWE.com referred to her release as "mutually agreed upon" earlier today. There's no word as to whether she will be able to use the Molly Holly name, a WWE creation, outside of the company. The late Mike Lockwood, who worked as Crash Holly, did not use the name outside of WWE following his departure there. It is expected Holly will have the same 90 day no compete as per usual with WWE releases, which would make her available to work in early July.

The thing that gives Viva la Bam away is that Phil and Ape can't act to save their lives. Ape is a terrible actress and isn't believable in the slightest when she is supposedly "mad" at Vito. Bam and his crew are pretty good actors, but they can't make up for Phil and Ape's horrid performances. And I don't know for sure, but Bam and Jen must have broke up for the 6799885558 time as she was not with him during the tour of Europe. They've probably already made up since that was filmed though.

Shawn said in an interview right before Mania he wanted to work a program with Hogan, so I would assume one will blame the other for the lose or something like that. I don't know if they will do face v face or face v heel, but in the end, Hogan will be cheered over Shawn

This is not suprising, Vince LOVED the first one. It's all about what Vince likes

Overreact much? As bad as the Mets are doing, we're still only beginning the second week of the season. Calm down. Get off the ledge. I agree with you, I agree with everyone saying I'm overreacting, but after nearly 20 years of disappointment (Yes I know Reds Sox fans, 20 years is nothing) I just need a break from this team. However it's just a break, I'll always be a Met fan. I'm planning on trying to see I f I can go a month, then start back up again. I'm sure am not the only fan in history to do this sort of thing. I think it might do me some good in the end, to maybe appreciate the game more. And I will pay attention to the game, baseball is my favorite sport, just a respite from the Mets.
-
I agree, but keep in mind I've watched every game practically since 1984, since I was 5. It's just a break, not a permanent departure. A hiatus if you will. I WILL watch again. Whether the Mets came back in this game is inconsequential, I need this break for my sanity.
-
I've decided to take a break from watching the Mets, it's just not worth it anymore. I'll watch again, but not for a while. So a giant "Fuck You" to this Mets team for making me stop watching baseball. I'll keep track of both leagues, watch the occasional game (non-Met) and look for general baseball news, but that's it. I still love the game, but the franchise has finally beaten me down. And this is coming from someone who watched every game of the 1993 Mets.

from PWI: The early word I am getting on Matt Hardy's release is that the major reason he was let go is due to how he handled the situation with Lita and Matt Hardy, which of course he went very public with on his website. I think Scherer meant to sat Lita and Edge
-
Stop the presses. the Mets win a game. It's hard to get excited for a win that puts your team at 1-5 though
-
I'm this close to quitting being a Met fan myself. No one can fault Pedro for this, he's been GREAT

One of the best episodes of the season (although I missed the Giammati, Deniro, and Kutcher Episodes) Loved the Barry Gibb talk show Jimmy was awesome, and proved that he was a very underrated cast member that got way too much unfair criticism it's not even funny The crowd popping huge for Barrymore suprised even her Could it even be more obvious that Tina wrote the monolgue, she's been on the show so long that I can tell the sketches she writes just by the topic and dialogue. It's usually about girls feeling unattractive or having low self esteem, make some vagina jokes, then have it end with Ratchel Dratch with a weird look on her face. Tina is one the most gorgeous women I've ever seen ,but it might be time for her to leave the show. And Bob, speaking of Diaz being drunk the last time, did you see Drew on Conan the other day, she looked totally wasted
