Matt Hardy speaks on he and Lita splitting
strummer replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I think HHH has a wandering eye, and was notorious for banging all kinds of rats in the mid 90s, so I still think he would more likely than Lance Storm. I don't think he would per say, but he would be tempted to. It would be idiotic, but 98% of guys can't control it. Lance Storm has a book club, doesn't do any drugs, isn't on the juice, doesn't drink, is a strict father, let's his wife go on the road with him, he would be my bet. -

The only wrestler that I would put money on that he didn't cheat on his wife is Lance Storm -
from PWI: What was originally scheduled to happen was Benoit would hit the ringbell when he hit the headbutt off the top and then be pinned by Hassan. Since Hassan didn't have the bell in position, WWE management called an audible backstage so Benoit didn't look weak and changed the finish to a DQ with the low blow. You can see Benoit throws his shoulder up immediately once he's given the word, rather then wait for the dramatic last moment before the three count. I've heard from several sources that management wasn't happy with having to change the original finish, as they want Hassan to look strong and remain undefeated leading into Wrestlemania 22 next month. There has been a lot of talk among the wrestlers that Hassan will actually be facing Hulk Hogan on the Wrestlemania 22 PPV, although that isn't 100% confirmed yet. If that match does happen, they could make a star out of Hassan in one night. WM is shaping up to be pretty bad from a workrate standpoint, but with the right booking, 3 new stars could be created in one night (Batista, Cena, Hassan)

I guess you don't know your BUTT from your wrist. I'd call it common sense. The team is old and has no prospects left. Florida and Philly will easily finish ahead of them. Just because you fall into the trap of buying the Mets hype doesn't mean you know shit about how teams will finish. Carlos Beltran, David Wright, and Jose Reyes are not old. They are a team with some older players, not an old team. You could say that in a year or 2 their pitchers will be too old

I've posted this several times before, why do the Mets have a label as "All Time Losers" when they have won 2 world championships and 4 National League pennants in 43 Years. I will say this again, the Houston Astros started the same year the Mets did, 1962, and have won 1 playoff series. Yet I don't hear anyone proclaiming them "All time losers"

Coach got pretty serious towards the end when Hayden and Christine wanted to have a baby. There was also one where Luther met his biological father, which I always thought was a little far fetched considering Jerry Van Dyke was in his 70s at the time. Paul Dooley played his father, with makeup making him look near 100

The only show I can remember to never have a "serious episode" was Married with Children. The last episode of Cheers had some serious moments in it, but it wasn't a total serious episode.

So are Edge and Lita a couple now or was Edge just getting a piece of strange? I wonder if they would ever allow Matt and Edge in the same ring together now? -

On that note, Mike Mulder and Pedro Martinez pitched poorly in their debuts with their new teams today. I agree that no one should EVER pay attention to how pitcher's pitch in spring training. Too many times, I've seen pitchers just hurl fastballs over the middle of the plate and not even try to give away their stuff.

From Meltzer's Update Today: --WWE is planning a DVD on the 1997 Survivor Series tentatively titled, "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story." And the night after it comes out, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and HHH will be driving home after a show in Ontario crying about how these stupid Canadian fans can't let it go. (thanks to Keith Lipinski)

The Giants are about to sign Kendrell Bell from the Steelers, should be announced tomorrow.

Vince McMahon Sr. believed that heels MUST cheat to win, and Vince Jr. continued that tradition. If heels won clean, it would make the big babyfaces look weak, and the WWF was always built around babyfaces.

I've said before, WCW completely missed the boat on not pushing Kim Page to the moon, she could have been their Sable (or even bigger) in 97/98. Russo gave her a pretty big push in 2000, but the ship already was at the bottom of the ocean During the Invasion, Vince desperately wanted to sign her, but she chose to go to LA to become an "actor" instead. So they 'settled" with DDP. If she would have signed, she probably would have been the top WWE female star, alongside Trish

At the boards I visit that are inhabited my mostly marks, they don't believe Orton has a chance against Taker. It will be terrible business for Orton to go over, especially as a face. The fans (marks) wouldn't buy it for a second

I have that Raw on tape, and if you look closely, Tammy breaks Kayfabe for a second and laughs a little. She has to stiffle laughter pretty much the whole segment, trying to pretend she's not hearing that woman screaming at her, when she could clearly hear every word she was saying. This was indeed from the ECW Invasion Raw from Feb. 97, when Sunny and Marlena were having their brief program.

My cable company did not offer TBS until 1996. The only NWA/WCW I saw was Worldwide out of WSBK in Boston. I kept track through wrestling magazines, renting old PPVs on VHS and word of mouth. WWF was much more available in my market. I know a lot of people growing up who did not have much access to the NWA. Hell I watched more AWA. Where do you live that you didn't get TBS but got crappy little SBK? Schenectady, NY. We had WSBK for several years, but haven't had it since about 1997 or 1998. When NWA/WCW held a Clash in Troy, NY in 89, (Flair v Funk I quit match) no one in school really had access to NWA, and we were curious about this "different" kind of wrestling. I remember talking to someone who went to the show and he said the only thing good about the show was "The Skyscrapers looked cool", "they should go to the WWF" Keep in mind we were only in the 4th grade at the time.

The arsonist one scared the hell out of me as kid. I remember one where some woman was cut into pieces and found in the Florida Everglades. Then some guy dressed up as her to buy a plane ticket or something. It was a scheme between some psychic and a British guy. Then there was one where a woman who led an auto company promised that she could manufacture a 3 wheeled car. Turns out it was a guy and he stole millions from investors. The cops found his wig and fake boobs when they searched his house. Very creepy
