can't say I hate teams, but teams I strongly dislike MLB: Braves, SF Giants, Yankees NBA: Lakers, Pacers, Heat NFL: Packers, Bills, Rams, Eagles

The problem with ESPN, Linda Cohn, a very plain looking woman who wants to be hot, and Suzy Kolber, a super hot girl who wants to be average looking.

As a fan, I never felt an emotional attachment to a player. When Strawberry left the Mets and signed with the Dodgers in 91, I wasn't crushed at all, I simply said, "Okay, who plays right field" (little did I know it would be that useless sac of crap Hubie Brooks, but that's another story) Same deal with Mike Hampton in 2001. Ever since childhood, I looked at baseball as a business. I never understood how angry people got for athletes taking better contracts.

The thing is that Trish has gone on record saying that she doesn't care if she does all T and A or if she's a legit wrestler. Trish is smart, she does whatever the company asks and never complains. The only exception was when she spoke up in those meetings about how House Shows should mean more. If they had a big female star fight for the divsion (Ie Trish), then it could be pushed properly. But Trish always defends the T and A aspect.

clearly setting up a HHH win here.

Colts, Steelers, Falcons, Eagles

except Bernard Gilkey, Lance Johnson, and maybe Braden Looper Never use the words Braden Looper and greatness in the same sentence again. Ok? Thanks. there were stretches last year where Looper was tremendous. My point was that some people have their career years with the Mets, and those were 3 clear examples.

I knew Beltran wasn't coming to the Mets to begin with, so I probably won't be as devastated as other fans, they just need to refocus on signing someone else. Never jump the gun as a Mets fan. EVER And if Beltran does land with the Yankees, keep in mind Jason Giambi (if he is still on the team) must play 1st base every day, because Bernie Williams will DH. I don't see how Tino Martinez (or Reuben Sierra) will get any playing time whatsoever. This all depends on the status of Giambi obviously.

Shea Stadium is a terrible hitters park, that is why the Mets have been a subpar offensive team most of the time. It's not the franchise that makes the players suck, it's the ballpark, where it's basically impossible to hit homeruns in April and May. The ball just dies at the track at Shea, ask Mike Piazza, ask Cliff Floyd and ask Bobby Murcer about playing there when Yankee Stadium was being renovated. He still has nightmares.

The first big WWF ref bump I remember was in the Hogan/Orndorff match at the Big Event in Toronto in Aug. 86.

Newsday is saying the Mets and Boras are "4 or five millions dollars apart" on Beltran and the Yankees are still in it, as Boras and the Yankees met throughout the day

and Buster Olney is once again proven to be a total fraud as a "Baseball Insider". This guy is clueless. Al should devote a whole column to "How Dumb is Buster Olney?"

Jets win 20-17
-
damn, what a catch by Moss
-
no good, and the Jets survive
-
This has been an entertaining game but not necessarily a well played game. Very sloppy play by both teams and both look to stand little chance next week in the divisional round
-
totally forgot, oh, and apparently Olney also said the Cubs were still in the mix for Beltran, this guy changes his tune all the time
-
umm, I could be wrong, but isn't the the Jets game being played on WFAN right now, not sure though
-
Buster Olney on ESPN News just said Beltran resigned with the Astros. Still no official word, but it looks like a lock he's returning to the Astros
-
yeah, Curry is pretty reliable, just don't know whether to believe "the vast majority of baseball executives" are saying he's going back to Houston. I still think he's resigning with Houston tomorrow, unless the Yankees swoop in.
