looks like Beltran is going to resign with the Astros. Of course this being the Mets, they are the only team in history to offer a Scott Boras client the most money and not get him. No big time free agent will ever come to the Mets unless they just ungodly overpay them. This is why the Mets have to make dumb moves all the time, they have to offer BY FAR the most money.

Thanks for the advice guys. Great stuff.

yeah, were friendly, it's just that some make snide remarks about "You aren't doing this right" "Don't do this or that?" "What's wrong with you" I kinda confronted my aunt for saying stuff like this, but I'm cautious of upsetting my mother But yeah KKK, it could be a lot of stress that is causing it. Like Mole said, the problem is the frustration that comes with it. It's hard to get screamed at and yelled at and just take it. I'm not mad at my mother at all, it's just that a human being just doesn't like to be yelled at so much, no matter what. It's so tough not to say anything back. I have to go outside to stiffle the anger.

technically, I don't think so, but it is real bad

I told her that I was trying my best. I'm not mad at her or anything, I know her anger is just frustration. But it is just a never ending cycle. We talk all the time, but the sickness is not going away, and she is still going to be frustrated every day. I just wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this. It does sound simple, but it is so complicated in practice.

The "report" of the Mets signing Beltran is completely bogus. Someone running a NY Sports fan site made it up. I don't believe he is coming to the Mets anyway

that sounds like a hell of a lot of stuff to be on a 2 hour show. Something is getting edited off, probably RVD/Doug Basham or they might clip Eddy/Rey Obviously Heyman is being written off the show. Wouldn't suprise me if Kenzo wins the belt next week, Vince seems to really like him. For one day I wish AS was unbanned to see his reaction to the Angle stuff. Nice to see them copy the Austin/Jericho angle from 03' with Carlito/Long

exactly, if they rip Bret at all, it is forgotten the very next week if he is even remotely compotent. How ridiculous was it this season with ESPN and " Oh NO,The legacy of Lambeau has been shattered!!!, GASP!" to "The Pack are Back Baby!!1#1#1#1 YEAH!!!, Bret still has it!!!)
-
really? Don't remember that. That talk seems to have died down, as now he's "still the best in the game" Favre gets a free pass from ESPN.

The one line I remember most from the piece was Jericho saying that WCW was winning the war because they had better wrestling matches than WWF, with the cruiserweights, Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko, himself, and Saturn etc. And he just sort of said "Oh, and the NWO too" It reminded me of WCW marks on the Net in 96 and 97 who insisted that the reason why WCW was getting great ratings and beating the WWF was because of the long cruiserweight matches and great midcard matches. It was like these WCW marks didn't want to give Hogan and the NWO any credit, because they represented the old WWF guard from the 80s/90s. I still hear people bring this up, but I don't buy it for a second. The great matche may have helped, but Hogan and the NWO were the reason for all the money, hate Hogan or not.

The Red Sox blow jobs only started since October, the Yankee blowjobs have been going on for over 10 years. ESPN HATES the Mets, even when the Mets were good from 97-2000, ESPN would always knock them. Any list like this has to include Bret Favre, who no matter what he does or how he plays, is never criticized, and is constantly praised. I don't know how Peyton Manning is blown by ESPN, he was never given any attention by them until this year. The Eli stuff is just because he was the first pick in the draft, it will die down. Basically, the most blowjobs come from the Football analysts, who for some reason, are afraid to criticize the other players. Everyone is great, everyone is tough, everyone is gritty and gutty. Football announcers from all the major Networks are the worst at giving blind praise and saying nothing constructive. I don't think I've heard one announcer ever say anything bad about Favre, EVER. Football announcers are the worst in pro sports. Salisbury, Irvin, Bill Maas, Berman, Tom Jackson, they are just shills for the league.

Shelley Long was painfully unfunny and annoying. I much preferred the show with Kirstie Alley. And Alley was damn hot from 87-89. The Sam Malone character started to wear thin in the early 90s and the by the time the show was about to end, NO ONE in the audience bought him as a ladies man who banged every girl breathing. The "sensitive" Sam Malone character in the last few seasons wasn't great, but his character needed to change, and the new character made for some real solid episodes. Cheers, IMO, was inconsistent, with some very strong seasons, (87-90 was the peak of the show for me), but was just too hit or miss for me to call it an "All Time Great"

I don't know if the Mets are idiots, it's just that they feel they have to over pay to get free agents to come to Shea. It's nothing new and has been going on since the disastrous 92-96 years. When was the last time a free agent turned down a bigger offer elsewhere to come to the Mets?

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

why was Madusa off TV from June 97 till early 99? Was she still under contract? -
didn't realize Woodson had that great of a career. I always saw him as overrated, but it looks like he was the real deal. He'll probably be inducted in the "everyone who has a ring automatically gets in" NFL HOF. I think it's harder to get into MIT than it is the NFL HOF.

Al Franken is friends with Bradshaw!? I smell a WB sitcom!

Just read a post at Weinerboard where it says that Meltzer in this week's Observer says that the ECW PPV is confirmed for June, in the Hammerstein Ball Room in NY. Vince wants to bring back old ECW stars, Steph doesn't. Also, after Mania, Orton and Cena are going to switch rosters. Can anyone confirm this? HTQ? I think it guarentees Orton and Cena will be in the world title matches at Mania. I was hoping for Batista.

and it was Dawn Marie pre-boob job

Bruiser, who are you referring to? Edit: Oh, Galaragga, sorry missed him in the list. That's Omar Minaya looking out for a friend, plain and simple
-
Loss, can you explain further, I'm not sure I understand the point. If a match is great, it has heat, but if a match has heat, it's not necessarily good?
-
but was it a great match?, Meltzer gave it -****. But was it a great match because it had great heat and fans were in the palms of their hands? Was Andre still a good worker then? What about Piper/Adonis on the same show, great heat, was it a great match? Hogan/Rock? Bam Bam/LT?
-
so is Hogan/Andre from WM 3 a great match?, it had great heat, and the fans appreciated it.

My particular favorite.
